This left a good first impression, and we proceeded with a recommended camera inspection which revealed damage to a sewer lateral that needed repairs. Naturally, we agreed to have them promptly fix the issue and gladly paid a deposit on the work (to start the following day at the latest). When Mr. Rooter failed to return to our home over the following two days (while we did not have working plumbing)! we called to cancel the work and hired another vendor (who promptly completed the repair for us). This occurred in November 2025 and we still have not received a refund for the deposit (thousands of dollars) as of April 2026 despite repeated written and phone requests. If you do decide to work with this company, please avoid giving them a deposit/down payment until you are satisfied with a completed job. The gentleman who showed up late in the evening for the emergency call really helped us out, but that's not enough to make up for the subsequent failures and dishonesty.

Initial quote was for $510 to retrofit a lid and replace the two older check valve's. This price is with me purchasing both the lid and check valves ($110). So I was expecting to spend approximately $620 to get this job done. The first appointment they replaced the check valves and told me the lid I bought (I bought two different sized lids) wouldn't work. They told my wife we needed a 19 inch lid. Charged $244 for that visit and work. I bought a new lid and called them out again. The lid also doesn't work and my wife tells them to just install it, which I acknowledge she shouldn't have done. There was also a copper line that was plumbed in so out of plumb I'm actually surprised it was left like that. Lastly I was charged an additional $466 for this second visit. So I'm out of pocket approximately $830 (including the $110 I spent on parts) for a job I believe was poorly done. I let the point of contact know I wasn't happy with the work done and he said he stands by their work.

He said his boss wouldn't do that. Well I never heard of such a thing. I've never dealt with people who won't tell you individual costs. That's wrong. You don't just bunch it up all together and say this is your deal. Every other HVAC company I have dealt with for this expensive 5 figure job has broken it all down and explained what the gas line would cost ...what the furnace would cost....and what the air cleaner would cost and a gas exhaust and intake and what my Mothers furnace would cost. So I found another company who has been very nice and professional and were more than willing to break all costs down like professionals and they are getting the job. I paid the $700 bill in full and then I called Stephanie on 09/20 (office manager, I believe) to discuss this with her and she agreed to a partial refund, Stephanie agreed to refund us "$100 -125". She said they should have mentioned the drive time charge on our original phone call. I was happy we had come to an agreement and I hung up satisfied we were being charged fairly. On 10/3 we received a $69 check with a LENGTHY note attached. The note made several inaccurate statements about the technician's time. No need to make this review any longer. The management at Clark Plumbing admitted they overcharged us but didn't refund us what they said they would. Yikes!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONTRACTOR…read more We contracted with them to do a very simple job of installing trim on our kitchen cabinets. However, when they were done they left a very large and unsightly gap at the top of the trim that was installed. I was told this was due to the unevenness of the counter tops. Normally, irregularities would be discovered and addressed when the field measurements are taken. But apparently there were some miscalculations, so we ended up with the gap. I offered to compromise and provide some additional trim to cover this gap in lieu of tearing out the newly installed trim and starting over. Unfortunately, when I brought this proposal to New Prairie Construction's attention, I was told it would cost me over $200.00 to repair their mistake. I'm unsure how this became my fault, but I'm very disappointed. In addition to the workmanship, we agreed to a not to exceed, time and materials contract. However when I got the bill, it was hundreds of dollars in excess of their original not to exceed limit. They eventually adjusted the bill, but it took several e-mails and discussions for then to own up to their mistake.

Jill and Julie are very customer-oriented and extremely competent. They helped us flesh out the basic design, which was a great start. Their crew did great work and the whole process was pleasant. My husband picked out all these non-standard fixtures but they adapted beautifully to do the correct engineering to make it all work. After the work was completed, we found one issue, which they came back right away and fixed for free. We look forward to working with them on our kitchen remodel this year.
