Ron and Chris were able to squeeze us in at the end of the day to assess the issue, which we really appreciated. They quickly diagnosed the problem, walked us through multiple replacement options, and helped us choose the best solution without any pressure. They were flexible with our schedule, efficient, and the installation went smoothly from start to finish. Professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Exactly what you want when something goes wrong unexpectedly. I highly recommend T.R.U.E Plumbing to anyone needing reliable and honest plumbing services.

Initial quote was for $510 to retrofit a lid and replace the two older check valve's. This price is with me purchasing both the lid and check valves ($110). So I was expecting to spend approximately $620 to get this job done. The first appointment they replaced the check valves and told me the lid I bought (I bought two different sized lids) wouldn't work. They told my wife we needed a 19 inch lid. Charged $244 for that visit and work. I bought a new lid and called them out again. The lid also doesn't work and my wife tells them to just install it, which I acknowledge she shouldn't have done. There was also a copper line that was plumbed in so out of plumb I'm actually surprised it was left like that. Lastly I was charged an additional $466 for this second visit. So I'm out of pocket approximately $830 (including the $110 I spent on parts) for a job I believe was poorly done. I let the point of contact know I wasn't happy with the work done and he said he stands by their work.

We were told they would get to us, but it would be a couple of hours as there were a few jobs already ahead of us. They arrived in what we considered a very timely fashion, especially on a Saturday afternoon. They listened to what I explained as the issue, observed the clean out, and knew exactly what to do. They ran the auger approximately 100 feet and you could hear it breaking through the tree roots. Upon retracting the auger, the roots were very evident on the cable and the claw. The service guy was very friendly and explained what he was doing through the whole process. He was extremely willing to answer all my questions. We were expecting to pay $500-$600 for this kind of service on a weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised when he said it was $305. I would definitely recommend Schoonover Sewer Services and I would definitely use their services again if needed!

They don't do regular plumbing, they only do sewer and drain service, but I would use them again anytime I needed them.

Scott listened carefully to what I knew about the history of the our 83 year old house that we are only the 2nd owner of. The house was ahead of its time when built and had perimeter drainage tiles that emptied into a sump, which works whenever there is rain. But about a year ago we started having water come through the basement wall in the front corner of the house, but it only happened when we got a huge rain -- and only in that corner of the basement. I showed Scott pictures of when our most recent rain had flooded that area of our basement, showed him the area that had flooded and showed him the sump and the D&S guys took it from there. It turned out my assumption was wrong, and Scott verified that the problem was that the outside downspout had been diverted into an underground pipe heading away from the house and that it was plugged up. They rodded it open... the cause of the problem was identified and confirmed. They recommended abandoning that underground piping and created a new diversion outlet that is above ground and nicely hidden under our shrubbery. Last night we had a massive rainstorm, and we didn't have even a drop in the basement. We're back to having a totally dry basement again! They also sealed up some cracks between our foundation and the concrete driveway and also rodded out the other drain that was on the other front corner of our house to make sure it didn't develop a similar problem in the future. These guys are smart, know what they're doing, and are honest and friendly too. The price was very fair and I'm extremely grateful. I recommend them highly for any type of sewer work, including dealing with the sort of storm water issues I was having.
