We asked for it, paid, and when presented at the counter, we were given a small bowl that was maybe half the portion, and no cheese garnish at all. It just looked messy. When I asked about the salad in the case, presented with all the other foods they were taking directly from the case, we were told that it was for display only. That's deceptive and unethical! The staff said nothing and walked away. I spoke with the manager and explained the experience. She did apologize and offered to give us something additional. I politely declined, as I wasn't looking to get free stuff, merely point out it's unethical and they should either change the display or offer what's advertised. She could have simply offered a larger portion but did not. We returned just to take a peek a week or so later, there was no change. Look out for the signs from the roadside on either side of the driveway, and drive in towards the shed. Open 7 days, you can buy fresh eggs only hours after being collected from the chicken coop in a variety of sizes - Medium through to Whoppers! They sell the eggs in dozen cartons or trays of 30. A tray of 30 jumbo eggs is only $10, and a dozen jumbo eggs is only $4. The chickens lay the eggs on site, and Nadra Eggs sell both cage and free range, depending on your preference. They also sell roasting chickens from $5.70, and boiling hens from $3.40. They also stock a range of local produce including seasonal fruit, local honey and jams. The pineapples from a grower in Mt Tambourine are delicious and sweet, some of the best I've ever tasted. And they usually sell 2 for $5!

Of course, the reason you stop here is to visit the Alpacas including the crazy eye one they call, Zombie. If you decide to feed them (a bag of feed will cost you $3, but so worth it), he's the greedy dude who'll try eat straight from your bag. There's a cafe on site with the usual eats. The coffee was Merlo so pretty decent for a tourist spot. Oh and the owners labrador has cottoned on to the deck being the perfect position for sun baking and food scavenging. Good luck saying no to those brown puppy dog eyes! I won't lie: he got some of my scone.

Although all the stalls have umbrellas and marquees, on a hot sunny day there's quite a lot of direct sun and it can get pretty hot. The preview reviewer got the times wrong - they run from 6am to noon. I'm glad to see a good use for the Stone's Corner area, which was previously inhabited by a few odd cafes, discount outlets and a huge amount of empty shops. These markets are pretty much like all Jan Powers Farmers Markets - if you've been to any of the other ones, you'll recognise most of the stalls. The quality of food sellers, and fresh produce is pretty high and lots of great deli products - the Eumundi Smokehouse makes amazing chicken chorizo sausages!

As Rhiannon says, the suppliers don't tend to change that much but I'm OK with that as long as I can get fresh, locally made goats cheese and snack on a kransky or 3. You pay a bit of a premium for some things, however taste and quality is extremely apparent in food so if you want a really special meal pay a little bit more. Also, I always manage to find a chinese style stall at the back with cheaper veg so I can still fulfil my bargain hunter instinct.
