I wish I could give one 5 star rating and one 2 star rating for the two separate experiences I have…read morehad with them. 1: I am new to owning a home with a septic tank so when the alarm went off for the first time I was kinda freaked out imagining our basement bathroom flooding with backed up sewage. I called and they advised to just wait out the alarm since it had been raining and pouring and more rain for days and days. They said the drainage field was probably saturated. Luckily it stopped raining the following day and the system was able to drain properly. They had suggested to use minimal water until the rain stopped and it should clear up. 5 stars for this one, I would have paid to have them come out and check the system but their free advice was right on. 2. Alarm going off again months later in August when it hadn't been raining at all. It was on for about 12 hours (and overnight when we weren't using any water) before I called, hoping it would just go away. They said someone would need to come out and look at everything to trouble shoot but no one was available for 12 days unless I wanted to pay the overtime rate (1 1/2 times normal) to have someone come out after 3:30pm. It seems a little shady to me that they can't get anyone out for 12 days unless I pay extra, I mean, I get it, if the technician works overtime they should get paid overtime but it just seems like a way to collect more money and feels like I am getting ripped off. Since I am not actually having them come out to do the work the 2 star rating would be based on the fact that they were nice on the phone giving them 2 stars but the whole wait 12 days or pay extra $$$ is just making me thing they are sketchy. I will update if I can't find another Septic Company to fix the problem and have to end up paying extra to get these people out sooner than the 12 days.

I found out about that fact Friday morning when they came out to start the service. Why in the world they would book a 2-day job like that on a Friday/Monday is beyond me. And once the job was done a pipe starting leaking that did not leak prior to them coming out to do work on the sewer. They price gouge and clearly do not care about the customers, only their bottom line. In a city over saturated with plumbing companies, you would think customer service might be a bit higher on their priority list. Use someone else, anyone else, other than Epic Plumbing.

Stay away from Scott Handyman. Instead of fixing the problem, they made it worse and didn't honor…read moretheir warranty. I advise everyone to have a camera to take pictures before and after in places you can't see. I contacted Scott Handyman and explained the exact problem with the kitchen hood - the connection from the hood to the outer connection had come loose. I sent a picture (picture #1) showing the problem and asked if they could fix it, and the lady from Scott Handyman said yes. The technician who came said he could fix it. When I got home, the problem still existed (picture #2). The lady said she would send another technician and explained that if something arose after the job was finished, I just needed to call them and they would take care of it under the warranty. However, when the second technician came, my son told him he was damaging the wood trim and backsplash, but the technician didn't care. After he left, I tested the fan and found that air was blowing downwards. Pictures (picture #3) and a video show the piece installed was ripped and air was leaking. I contacted Scott Handyman multiple times with pictures and videos, but they didn't answer. Finally, I texted them that I would take them to court if they didn't honor their warranty. The lady responded, saying I should hire an HVAC technician and they wouldn't fix it. Too bad I cant post any pictures here nether a video. However, you can see the pictures on Google reviews.
