However, we have a huge den with a 12-foot ceiling, and it was more than I wanted to tackle or even had the time to do so. I knew there was quite a bit of wall and ceiling repair needing to be done, too, prior to painting. So, this time around, I decided to hire professionals to do the job. Our flooring guy recommended 1st Class Painting and Restoration, assuring us they'd do a great job. After getting a few quotes, we opted to go with them. As a couple who hates to deal with contractors and therefore does most of the home improvement jobs ourselves, I can only say I wish all contractors were as easy to work with as 1st Class. It was a smooth process from start to finish. Getting someone out here to give us a quote was done quickly. Getting us on the schedule that was conducive to our timeline was also super easy. We were told the painters would arrive between 8:30-9:30 a.m. each day, but they were here no later than 8:15 a.m. Early arrival is something that never happens with contractors! The crew worked nonstop (except for their lunch break) for the two days it took them to repair the damaged areas, sand and then paint the ceiling, walls and trim. I'm still amazed that they got it done so quickly! It'd have taken me at least a solid month of working every Saturday and Sunday from dawn to dusk to do the same job. The room looks awesome! I love the paint color that I chose, and they did a great job applying it to the walls. The ceiling, the crown molding, the baseboards, and the other trim all look brand new, too. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

Avoid at all costs. We had them remove linoleum in our kitchen (at least that's what they billed…read moreand we paid for. Found out after a water loss that additional damage resulted from them not removing the linoleum and just placing the laminate flooring over it. Yet they got paid and we didn't find out until it had to be pulled up. Shady. They don't stand behind their warranty either. The flooring installation in the upstairs bathroom was installed incorrectly and they didn't clean the debris from before installing. We tried to get them to fix under warranty and they claim we need to pay for their installer to come out and if he agrees it was the installer fault they'll reimburse us. This isn't how a reputable business should operate. If you're going to hire them you better watch them the entire time or they will cut corners. Spending time in small claims court wasn't how I wanted to resolve this, but since they won't do the right thing we'll have to see if a Judge agrees with us.

Cydney with sunspace just went with my measurements and pictures I sent her(who knows if they were right) and quoted me $4220. I initially thought that was pretty high, so I reached out to a GC family member for guidance.... He said for what I wanted the quoted price was probably doubled. I asked for a parts breakdown and got this message, "Hey, good morning Ryan, That is just our price. We source all of our materials directly from Sunspace, you will receive a door with installation, and we do not use third party companies or installers. Thank you and have a great day." I guess I'm just supposed to accept that and fork over my money. I asked again for a price breakdown and promptly got ghosted. I'll definitely not be using sunspace or recommending them.... Not that they give af.

I've had my walls painted in the den, living room, hallway, and entry hall. the painter also painted my cabinets on site, and did an amazing job. He indicated he didn't know what type paint the contractor used, because it wasn't oil based because when he sanded it, it had a powdery feel to it, oil base wouldn't do that. He also stated if I hadn't painted my cabinets, I wouldn't be able to wash them. They were not smooth,and had a dull finish with powdery substance on it. On a second note, he stated that the contractor did a great job with backsplash, Mosaic, flooring, building cabinets, and did a good job painting walls and ceilings, and didnt need a redo, and I agree. I paid the contractor $1350 for the painting of the rooms, and $2500 for the painting of the cabinets. Once again it is sad that the contractor cannot contact me concerning these issues or take responsibility. But if he can live with it so can I.

We had Old Cypress come out last December to replace our worn carpet with LVP flooring. They did an amazing job and were done quickly just in time for Christmas. The house was left in very clean condition which is a plus as some contractors leave a lot of debris and dust. He was even able to haul away our old carpet for additional fee which saved us much needed stress at the holidays. I plan to use again on a wood floor repair this spring.
