She can now swim across the pool all by herself! Ms. Julie is hands down the best swim instructor we've ever seen. Her warm and comfortable pool, combined with her patient and expert teaching style, made all the difference. We had tried lessons at other places like Boca Swim before, but they didn't even come close to what Julie offers. The transformation was incredible--our daughter can now handle situations like being thrown into the pool or going down a water slide and landing underwater. She's able to swim back to safety with ease, which gives us so much peace of mind. Julie offers a variety of options, including private lessons at her pool or yours, solo or group lessons, and a teaching style that truly works for kids who are fearful or hesitant in the water. Payment is per month and a nice perk is a free lesson during your birthday month. Scheduling can be arranged via their website, calling or in person. They have several changing rooms and bathrooms. The owners, and coaches, Rob and Kathy McKay, not only know about swimming, but they know about children. They both continually research ways in which babies and young children learn - using fun, age-appropriate games to teach crucial swimming skills. The children are having so much fun, they don't realize they're involved in instruction. The McKays are dedicated to providing a gentle and nurturing environment in which children can learn to love swimming, without the pressure and scare tactics that some other swim schools employ. If you're wanting to drop your child off while you sit on the sidelines, this is NOT the place for you. Parents in the water with their baby/child is a must here at this school - so it really becomes a mommy (or daddy) and me program. I can't think of another mommy and me program that I would enjoy more!
