DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE!!! Last year I hit a pothole and had to have the rim and tire replaced. They put a Goodyear Assurance tire on it and didn't match the other Fuzion tires that were on the car. Never called me to tell me that they were going to put a non matching tire on the car. When the car was ready I picked it up and drove for several weeks and I called the GM Pat and told him I was hearing road noise with the tire. Asked him if that was because the tire didn't match the others and he said maybe because the tire is new it needs to wear a little. So I drove several more months and brought the Car in for service to get a oil and filter change and asked if he could check the tire because the noise is still there. He called when the car was ready and said they really didn't hear anything and my car was ready for pickup. Several weeks later I brought the car back to him and asked if he can put the new tire from the rear to the front of the car to see for sure it the noise was coming from the new tire. I picked up the car and drove it and sure enough the noise was now coming from the front where the new tire was, I called Pat and he asked if I could bring the car in again. I left the car overnight so he can take test drives, he called me the next day and said nothing was wrong with the tire and he could not exchange it because since there is no defect that Goodyear would not reimburse him for the tire. And he suggested that since the 3 Fuzion tires are cheap Chinese tires that maybe I should just bear with the noise until I'm ready to replace the other 3 tires. I left there with a bad taste in my mouth and decided that I'm going elsewhere and buy 4 brand new tires. This morning I did that and low and behold the brand new tire that Goodyear sold me was not new, it was a fairly new tire that had been plugged and patched already. They sold me a used tire for $169 and passed it off as NEW. They had several chances to look at this tire when I brought the car in and they never told me that the tire had a patch and plug. Or at least ask me if I had the tire patched since I bought it. THEY RIPPED ME OFF and I called to tell him about it today and he hung up on me. BEWARE!!!! quality tire should be called low quality tire. my girlfriend purchased one michelin tire and after one year the inside wall of the tire had major structural problems as the picture shows. she paid $40 over what i could have gotten the tire in 72 hours, she paid about $290 for the tire. when we returned to low quality tire and showed them the picture to the anthony giacobbe assistant service manager, i was told he was not a michelin dealer and had interest in helping us, he is also rude. the owner need to fire him. stay away from this place. pricing is also too high. read more

I got new front breaks and rotors two years ago, they are still under warranty. But the company won't honor the warranty as there are a few spots on the rotors from living on "LBI and the moisture". I have driven less than 4500 miles since i got the new rotors. If they got a few rust spots that fast (and the car is in a garage and the house is heated during the winter) obviously the quality of their materials must be questioned along with their integrity. There are several other places to take you car, be smart and don't get ripped off. read more

I found Quality Tires while in Barnegat visiting my parents, I couldn't have been happier with the service and value I found there I needed four new tires for my Honda Accord, and stopped in to check it out. Pat helped me pick out the right tires. He assessed my needs (I'm selling the car in a few months) and helped me with my choices. He wasn't pushy, trying to sell me over priced tires I didn't need. Best auto shop I've ever been to. We had an issue late in the day (on a Sunday holiday weekend!) and they were nice enough to look at it before they closed for the holidays. Nice owner and staff grow hot peppers in window and insisted we take some if we were brave enough! Will go back the next time we need tires changed. My son had his oil changed there a month ago. Once engine was hot, the smell of oil burning and smoke was prevalent coming from engine. I opened the hood and found the oil cap upside down on the engine with glue holding it together. They broke the cap, glued it, and did not put it back on engine. I know things break, but it is not responsible to do what they did. They should have not let the car be driven and should have told us what happen. Now I have an engine low on oil and it is a mess. I will not be going back. You should avoid a company that does not have the interest of the customer. read more

Bought a alternator from them they said it was new within 6 months the thing died. Told them about it they gave me such a hard time about replacing it. My experience was a disaster. A cost of $393.06 for rear brakes and rotors that needed to be replaced in less than 50 miles because of smoke coming from a new frozen rotor. The owner was dismissive of what occurred because the car was not not returned to his business. It was not possible since it was not safe drive when discovered in Neptune, NJ. This is still unresolved, but small claims court is becoming a definite option unless he refunds our money. read more

I first heard about this repair shop from a neighbor-We moved from north jersey a year and a half ago, and did NOT want to have to head back up there every time we needed something done on our cars (we have 4 cars in our family)-the first time we went to Quality Tire was for an oil change on my daughter's car-they got her out in a half hour (she has a babysitting job, and is often "on-call")-great! But what really impressed us was their honesty. My husband was told by our dealer that his Honda needed front & rear brakes-we brought the car to Quality Tire for a second opinion-Scott, the service manager, informed us that we definitely needed front brakes, but that the rear brakes had 50% left! We had the front brakes done, and were told they'll continue to monitor the rear brake conditions-we'll continue to bring our cars here-great job! read more

Wow, that last complaint was pretty hilarious! To me, it seems like the "customer of tire rack" didn't really want an apology at all...seems like he wanted "frank" to install the tires he purchased off tire rack for free. I guess the "customer" is right about there being plenty of places to go for tires and automotive needs, but ill tell you from my experiences with automotive shops...nobody has treated me as well as Quality Tire. I,unlike some people, understand that nothing in this world is free. My car breaks, they fix it right, I pay, we're both happy. I understand that mechanics are people and that sometimes a repair or service has a "bump" in the road. IT HAPPENS! I don't get all worked up over it and start complaining "every chance I get". Anyway, my point is, I think the person who wrote the complaint about the tires is a grumpy,angry person who needs to take a look at himself instead of trying to rip other people on "complaining websites". To Frank, you've always done me well and ill fight for you by telling everyone I know how great your shop is and how its a pleasure having your crew service my families vehicles. Never Again! On 9/27/2013, I visited Quality Tire & Muffler (Auto Care) W. Bay Ave, Barnegat, New Jersey. I had scheduled an appointment to simply have my tires rotated and nothing else. I spoke with the manager at the front desk upon entering this tire center. My car was driven into the bay by a young man that preceded to rotate my tires. Upon completion of the tire rotation and immediately upon leaving the parking lot we felt and heard a loud "clunking" type sound at the right front of the car. We immediately pulled into the next parking lot, turned around and went back the approximate 100 feet to the tire center parking lot to determine what was terribly wrong with my car. My car was pulled into the bay and lifted approximately 3 feet off ground. At this time the individual from the front desk indicated that you "must have a flat tire"! In fact, upon looking at my right front tire and personally observing a lug nut fall off this wheel, it was quite evident that this young man forgot to tighten all of the lug nuts on the front right tire of my car. I was easily able to rotate the lug nuts seeing that they were not even hand tightened. All lug nuts were hanging on the end thread of each lug nut stud. It immediately became apparent how lucky we were that we were less than 100 feet from tire center and had the presence of mind to immediately turn back. I am in complete amazement that a "trained" technician could forget to tighten the lug nuts on a car before it left the bay and was out on the road. This could have been a tragic and costly mistake should we have continued on our way and if the tire flew off the car! I am hoping that this did not do any permanent damage to my brake assembly or lug stud threads. Post tightening of the lug nuts by "Larry" and during the test drive with "Larry", I had the opportunity to speak with him about such negligence that he agreed should never had happened. I also had the opportunity to speak about the attitude of the gentleman at the front desk who is typically dismissive, sulky and downright rude during most of my past visits. Larry had indicated that he well understood my concerns and would bring it to the attention of "Pat" the owner. My passenger stayed back and spoke with the man from the front desk that indicated to her something like: this is strike one against him, referring to the technician. We were told that this only happened "one time before", but one time is too many! No one ever apologized regarding this situation that could have ended up very badly. The attitude was again dismissive as a non-event! I initially started going to this tire center to purchase tires and to address all my tire needs. My additional experiences of constantly needing to redirect them back to tire needs only (as I service my car elsewhere), in conjunction with the attitude of the front desk and today's lug nut situation makes Quality Tire & Muffler not only NOT my car care center, but now NOT my tire care center either. I'D RATHER PAY FOR MY "FREE" TIRE ROTATIONS ELSEWHERE!!!!! Oh, By the way, I never got a follow-up call from Pat the owner. read more

I went on Wed 8/19/15 for a slow leak in tire, was told it could not be repaired, the man took a hissy fit when I said I wouldn't buy a replacement tire & I didn't want to know the cost, my tire was put back on my car without air in it, I drove to WaWa a mile away & only 15 lbs of air was in it. Called my Hyundai road assistance to have him put the donut on, told him what happened at Quality & he took it off and repaired it on the spot for $20 & guaranteed it.
