Within a few days, we started noticing a stiff banging sensation in the rear when hitting potholes. I brought the vehicle back to Mavis, and they quickly diagnosed the issue -- one of the new rear shocks was leaking. Without any hassle, they replaced both rear shocks promptly and at no charge under the warranty. The entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. The local staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, which really made a difference. It's refreshing to deal with a shop that truly stands by their service and takes customer concerns seriously. Highly recommend Mavis Discount Tire for both their service and their warranty support.

They seemed understanding and pleasant, but said that since some time had elapsed since the service, they couldn't resolve it. I called four more times before the Regional Training Manager called and left me a message just to call him back. Six more calls to him, and he called but didn't leave a message. Several more calls to him and no response. An absolutely awful experience, and terrible customer service. After about 40 years of loyal and trusted patronage, first with STS and then Mavis, I'm done with them.

    DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE!!! Last year I hit a pothole and had to have the rim and tire…read morereplaced. They put a Goodyear Assurance tire on it and didn't match the other Fuzion tires that were on the car. Never called me to tell me that they were going to put a non matching tire on the car. When the car was ready I picked it up and drove for several weeks and I called the GM Pat and told him I was hearing road noise with the tire. Asked him if that was because the tire didn't match the others and he said maybe because the tire is new it needs to wear a little. So I drove several more months and brought the Car in for service to get a oil and filter change and asked if he could check the tire because the noise is still there. He called when the car was ready and said they really didn't hear anything and my car was ready for pickup. Several weeks later I brought the car back to him and asked if he can put the new tire from the rear to the front of the car to see for sure it the noise was coming from the new tire. I picked up the car and drove it and sure enough the noise was now coming from the front where the new tire was, I called Pat and he asked if I could bring the car in again. I left the car overnight so he can take test drives, he called me the next day and said nothing was wrong with the tire and he could not exchange it because since there is no defect that Goodyear would not reimburse him for the tire. And he suggested that since the 3 Fuzion tires are cheap Chinese tires that maybe I should just bear with the noise until I'm ready to replace the other 3 tires. I left there with a bad taste in my mouth and decided that I'm going elsewhere and buy 4 brand new tires. This morning I did that and low and behold the brand new tire that Goodyear sold me was not new, it was a fairly new tire that had been plugged and patched already. They sold me a used tire for $169 and passed it off as NEW. They had several chances to look at this tire when I brought the car in and they never told me that the tire had a patch and plug. Or at least ask me if I had the tire patched since I bought it. THEY RIPPED ME OFF and I called to tell him about it today and he hung up on me. BEWARE!!!! Do not go there, they are not honest!!!

    I rarely leave 1-star reviews, but my experience with Lube DrX in Manahawkin was extremely…read moredisappointing. I normally change my own oil, but because I didn't have access to my tools for a few months, I brought my vehicle here for an oil change. When it came time for the next oil change and I went to remove the engine splash shield, I discovered that two holes had been cut into it--one below the oil filter and another below the drain plug. I had replaced this splash shield in 2022, and there was no reason for it to have holes cut into it. Removing the shield properly requires taking out about 15 bolts, so it appears someone may have taken a shortcut rather than removing it as designed. I emailed the Lube DrX with photos of the damage and the cost of replacing the splash shield, simply asking that they reimburse me for the damage. After five days with no response, I called and was met only with, "We would not do that." When I explained that I certainly didn't cut the holes myself and the vehicle had only been to their shop for an oil change, the response was repeated: "We would not do that." Can I prove they did it? No. But the circumstantial evidence certainly points in that direction, and I was disappointed that they wouldn't even have a conversation about it or review the photos. If the technicians were having difficulty removing the splash shield, I wish they had simply asked me first. I would have declined the work and taken the vehicle elsewhere rather than have parts of my car permanently damaged. Now I'm out the cost of another splash shield. Should have went to Valvoline but wanted to save a few bucks. Lesson learned--you often get what you pay for.

Daughter went in to get a headlight issue looked at, and since they couldn't find…read moreit decided to do a full diagnostic on her car, showing estimates for maintenance services "needing to be done"- she declined, Lo and behold hours later all her brake system lights came on (1 thing on list- "Flush and fill brake fluid) she now has a broken brake line and no fluid, (note/ broken brake line NOT on the list)and when her coolant was rechecked a few hours after that (2nd thing on their list- Fill and Flush Coolant) it's chunky and gelatin like- as if someone put a different type of coolant in it! Guy on phone said it's a "coincidence "- hmm. Guess if they can't find the problem you come in for, they'll make one!! Update: WOW Mr. S you replied fast- #1: Just because you couldn't replicate the headlight issue, doesn't mean it's not a problem. #2- Nowhere did I mention her car being on a lift, so why are YOU denying it was when I never claimed it was?? #3- If you couldn't find the issue she brought it in for, WHY do all these recommendations and give her a whole list of things she "needed" to get done... she didn't ask you to!

I requested: Oil and filter change- not performed- not charged Front and rear differential oil change,- not performed and charged Transmission fluid and filter change- they told me they flushed the transmission added new fluid and a $40 additive I didn't request,the filter was not changed and the fluid appeared to be in the same condition when I dropped it off. I requested the transfer case oil to be changed, it was not performed and not charged for. I requested the cooling system be flushed and new anti freeze added. I asked if the anti freeze was new and they said yes, it was the same dirty condition before I arrived. They tried to sell me a water pump which is not leaking They told me I needed a power steering pump which is not leaking. After all this I was charged over $800. It's safe to say they lost a loyal customer.

When we picked the car up near closing time we went right home. Later, we noticed that the clear-coat had been scraped off on several places on one rim (around the edge of the rim where the tire meets the rim and around the lug nuts). Unfortunately when we discovered this, they had already closed for the day. On the next business day, my husband went there and was told that the manager/owner would call him. The call did not come that day so my husband called back the next day. He spoke with the owner Nate who told him that there was no way that the damage done was at his facility. That they do not come in contact with those areas of the rim. We didn't take the car anywhere so the damage had to be caused there. Nate then said "sorry for the misunderstanding" and hung up on my husband. We understand that accidents happen and all we wanted was for them to take responsibility. Buyer beware...everything will go well with this business unless you have a problem. Then the extremely unprofessional owner will hang up on you and not own up to an issue that clearly happened on their watch. Unfortunately, the money you may save by going here you could possibly be spending later on new rims.
