As I walked in, I joined a line and watched the little kids look over the cupcakes , cookies and pastries..struggling to make their choices. I already knew I was getting mini cream puffs and eclairs, cannolis (and they offer a choice of fillings), cupcakes and my beloved cappuccino perfectly made with a few chocolate sprinkles on it (just for me?). The same couple were behind the counter with their now very-grown-up son. A few older gentlemen solved the world's problems at a table in the corner while sipping their coffees. A mother and young son were sharing what must have been the last delicious vanilla glazed yeast doughnuts (yes, they were all gone... much to my disappointment...and along with the 'hand pies' as I call them). My family loved my purchases and I loved my coffee.

ENVIRONMENT It's a tiny, tiny, tiny store 00with limited places to stand. However, who cares about space when cookies and sweets exist in such a place. BITES My goodness! There were an assortment of delicacies on display but my eyes settled on the cranberry oatmeal cookies. I took a bite of the cookie and to my surprise it was incredibly moist without being undercooked which has NOT been my typical experience with oatmeal cookies. Far too many in my experience have been crisply overcooked resembling a perfect replacement for a coaster. This cookie was a delight! After leaving the store I found myself taking the tiniest of pieces from the cookies to prolong the disappointment of finishing it quickly. This without question should be a top-tier selection if you're in search of baked goods in the Roxborough area.

I don't have the biggest sweet tooth so a bite was enough for me but, a nice smooth texture and sweet flavor. We got a few cupcake flavors and each cupcake was excellent. Soft, moist and full of flavor. Some of the best I have had. But, the sweet potato cheese cake takes 1st place. With smooth sweet creamy texture full of sweet potato flavor but, not too sweet. A wonderful cheese cake crust both on the bottom and some crumbled on top made for the best cheese cake I have had in a long time and I would recommend getting a slice to anyone I tell about this spot. Also the man and woman who served me and my family were just the most friendly people you could ever meet. Even giving my almost one year old a book to take home as part of a literacy program within the shop. Sadly I did not take a photo of the cupcakes of cheese cake. But!! Try this place out! Next thing I know, God had this wonderful lady say "come on in here to see." Listen here, she had me as soon as she opened the door! The place is so cute and I loveeeee all of the pink at every turn. She was so polite and explained each and every item that was available to order. I wish I could have ordered everything but we have to have self-control, sometimes. We ordered 2 banana pudding parfaits, a peach cobbler parfait, a yogurt and her momma's poundcake. We sat and ate both banana pudding parfaits (I had yogurt too) in the parking lot and my goodness they were so good. Went to another destination and at the peach cobbler parfait and it was just as good. That poundcake was on point. Since starting cooking lessons with Meal Makers, I am a more confident cook and I eat more fresh vegetables because I know interesting ways to cook them!
