Tons of shopping with both a large shopping mall and smaller shopping streets is also right around the corner. Sydney tower is also right next door and accessible through the shopping mall. The lobby area is attractive and contemporary although not particularly grand. A restaurant is on the ground floor and there is also an art gallery and hair salon connected to the lobby. The room was spacious and quite contemporary in its decor. We had a Hyde Park view, and there is a small side sitting area in the room across from the windows. The standard TV channels are available, although there are no streaming apps such as Netflix on the TV as other hotels are offering. The bathroom is large and features the usual amenities as well as a shower and separate bathtub. The real highlight is the amazing Sheraton club lounge on the 21st floor if you've booked a club level room. It is a large lounge with modern contemporary decor and many different types of seating. The breakfast buffet in the lounge is expansive and featured several hot dishes and numerous cold dishes and pastries. The evening appetizer and cocktail service in the lounge is not to be missed. Complimentary beer, wine, sparkling wine, and cocktails plus innumerable hot and cold appetizer choices. A selection of desserts is available as well. The food choices changed each evening, but there were some repeats. You could really make this dinner if you wanted to. The breakfast options were generally the same each morning but were good. Overall this is a great hotel in a great location, and the club lounge is not to be missed!

A 20 minute walk down to the Opera House easily a lot of things to see on the way. If you are an Elite member and get invited to use the Lounge you'll love the happy hour and the breakfast bar. As we got a very early flight in, they had us use the gym and shower facilities to clean up and change (19 hour flight, eek!). They were also able to get us into our room a couple hours early (much appreciated). In the meantime, they had our luggage stored securely. Secondly, I LOVED our room. It was roomy, comfortable, and had an AMAZING view. We ordered to city-voo king and had a gorgeous daytime and nighttime view of the local Harbour (not Sydney or darling) and city skyline. Also, the window opened up to the Harbour and it was a wonderful breeze each evening. We were on the fourth floor, and just felt it couldn't be beat. We also appreciated the self serve laundry, very handy on a two week trip! There are three washers and three dryers. Side note: though much appreciated, I wish I had brought my own detergent, as dry detergent seemed to irritate me (not their fault). They are also in close proximity (as in part of the same building or wharf) with multiple restaurants. See my reviews on Alibi, Kingsley's, and Aki's Indian, all part of the wharf or the building. Also, Harry's Cafe de Wheels is just a few steps away (I also have a review on that). Though we didn't have any bad dining experiences, I do think there are many other more interesting dining experiences in the city. That being said, alibi was very interesting and unique and Harry's is a must try. They also have free WiFi, free mini bar (red wine, white wine, beer, water, sparking water, juice, milk) all restocked daily. Also a free happy hour with various cocktails and very yummy avocado and chips as well as other bar food (to order). Location was ideal. It was in a quieter part of town, but a very short walk to Sydney Harbour, Darling Harbour, the Rocks, CBD, and multiple city green spaces. There are some stairs to climb depending on where you're going, but there are also multiple cabs at your disposal if you're not into walking. Personally, my husband and I walked almost everywhere to get a feel for the city. Almost everything was within a 10-30 minute walk, depending on how far we went (we went well into Darlinghurst and King's Cross as well as some further destinations). Anyway, this is one of my FAVORITE hotel experiences. Hip, fun, but also quiet upstairs and out of the way. Gorgeous views (with the right room), and lots of freebies. Easy access to anywhere and everywhere. You can't go wrong.

The drapes are great at keeping that beautiful sunshine out while you're sleeping. The bed was extra comfy and I appreciated the cream in the fridge for coffee. The bathroom was lovely, with plenty of counter space, a nice toilet and a good shower. The water pressure in the shower wasn't the best but we made due. Every employee, from the check-in counter to the house people were great. Always a friendly face and so hospitable. Absolutely will stay here again if in Sydney.

After seeing people driving past we attempt again. Get let in and get parked in a waiting lot. Instead of checking tickets and parking cars in groups of what movie they are going to see, it's a giant free for all. Cars driving everywhere. No traffic control. No one gives way. Eventually get in and park. Off for dinner. DISGUSTING. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. My husband and I are both extremely sick from eating the overpriced garbage they pass off as food. Before the movie started they announced ticket checks as people had snuck into the wrong movie, as it was sold out. Gate control and ticket checks earlier would fix this. All in all a huge waste of money. People left their cars on and chain smoked the entire time. Wish I could get a refund and my time back. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE

I have seen people bring camping chairs, two seater sofas on the back of their utes, camping tents and cars with really really really dark tint which makes no sense cause how can they possibly watch the movie!? Anyways, you really do need to be comfortable because you will get two movies for the price of one [unless stated otherwise]. $15.50 for an adult, $12.50 students/pensioners, $12 for members & $11.50 for kids. BYO snacks & drinks is a bonus. A word of warning for those who dislike smoking. If you have your doors open and/or windows down you will get that unpleasant smell. Room 802 this time and it looks out over a lovely Chinese garden. Bed linen is of a high quality. 100% cotton sheets is important to me. It means I stay cool . Ohhhh very cool feature: they have a "pillow menu" ! Iove this as hotel pillows often suck. The bed + the pillows here make me miss home a little less . Breakfast included is of a good quality. The first morning I had an expresso and Bircher, both were excellent I did see a bunch tourists stuffing their faces , can't blame them as there was a abundance of food options, notably a large selection of pastries that looked delicious . Oh! Very good bathroom products too ! But the gym sucks
