Pretty good place there when you're in the mood for Mexican! We went to Que Pasa for dinner while staying at the nearby Myrtles. They're very generous with chips, salsa, and queso. And I found the margaritas particularly strong! Our waitress was attentive. I ordered the Pollo Que Pasa which is grilled chicken with sauteed onions and melted cheese, and the standard rice and beans. So good! We got the lava cake for dessert. Food is always amazing. Steak Wednesday is great. Steak is juicy and very flavorful. Service is always 5star! I know some of the servers that have been there a while. Haven't tried the new workers but I hope they are just as great. Ambiance is good. Always playing music. TVs to play sports or shows. My cousins and I were headed home to Mississippi from Texas and had to come through St. Francisville. There aren't many food options and we knew we did not want fast food, so we decided to check out Que Pasa. It doesn't look like a Mexican restaurant, so we were a bit hesitant at first. Starting off, I don't recommend this place. There are many reasons why I don't recommend this establishment one. The fajitas are as thin as a McDonald's patty, two. The case of cheese is like water, but it's very sticky for some odd reason. Third of all all of the waitresses have to at least be under 18 because they act like they're in high school on their phones, taking selfies not doing their job and also why does the rice tasted like it came out of a MR packet? It tasted like pure chemicals. I know I'm near a lot of chemical plants right where I'm at at this establishment but man come on. Our waitress was so friendly and checked on us a lot! It's not a very big place, but we were seated right away. It wasn't too noisy. The menu has a lot of options. On our most recent visit here I decided to get the fried shrimp dinner. I'll admit, I didn't have high expectations of seafood at a Mexican restaurant. Boy was I WRONG! The shrimp tasted great, seasoned perfectly, and there were more than enough to fill me up. Despite the name, Que Pasa is way more than just Mexican food! Their seafood and steaks are also great! Wow, I'm glad we came here. We originally planned on going to another place, but upon arriving, found out this was one of the days that they close for dinner. We passed this place as we were headed out and noticed it was packed. Any restaurant that's packed in such a small town with multiple options, gotta be good right? You can't missed the place it's right at a big intersection. The hostess was quick to welcome us and sat us almost immediately. Our server was there promptly taking our drink order and bringing......free chips and salsa!!!! Yeehaw!!!! We ordered the buffalo shrimp appetizer, it tasted vinegary , but if you slop a bunch of the dipping dressing on it, it slides down like old yogurt. Not bad. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Tortilla soup and Grilled Chicken salad. She ate all of the soup and most of salad and she loved it. I ordered the ribeye dinner with stuffed potato ( seemed a bit dry) garlic bread and side salad. Who cares about the dry spud, the ribeye was excellent! Seasoned great, I didn't need any steak sauce for it. I could have all bad tasting sides and none of it would matter if the steak was really good. But, just so you know, the salad was good and fresh, garlic bread toasted right. Yes , we would definitely come back here 2nd visit: Dinner was so good yesterday, we decided to come back for more. We visited the Mrytle Plantation and passed this on the way in so thought we would give it a shot before the 4 hour trip home. We were seated right away, they weren't very busy, got our chips and hot sauce...wow was it amazing! I could eat that hot sauce daily. The chips were fresh as well. My daughter ordered the cheese enchilada plate, I had the el presidente whoch is like a sample dinner...my husband ordered a burger...he isn't a huge fan of Mexican food. Be aware that if u order the burger its $10.99 just for the burger no sides and french fries are an extra $3 so a $14 burger and fries which we weren't informed of! Our order came super hot which is nice because there alot of places thats not the case. The El Presidente came with a chili relleno, tamale, cheese enchilada, beef burrito and beef taco..rice a beans. Yes I always take home at least half or more lol. The chili relleno was the best I have ever had! No one had a complaint about their food just so much of it which is a good problem to have! Now the food alone was worth 5 stars to me...However the service is something to be desired. We had to ask for more chips, drink refills and she didn't bring out all of my food until I asked where the rest was. She was not attentive, took a while and waving her over to get a to go box and our check. If it was busy I would understand but it wasn't. Maybe she had an off night it happens. My husband and I went here for supper and we were seated right away and given complimentary chips and salsa and they were tasty. We ordered a queso dip tat had pick and spinach added but it tasted like frozen spinach so we will get the regular queso or queso with chorizo next time. My husband ordered a chili Relleno and a side of refr it Ed beans and a side of rice. I ordered the B skirt steak meal it came with refried beans, rice, pico, sour cream and guacamole and flour tortillas. The steak was big V a and tender and seasoned well. My only complaint was the plates are freezing cold so when they put the food on them your food is not hot when you get it. I don't know about you but I like my food so hard I have to blow it off to eat it so the next time I go I'm gonna tell him to heat the plate before they put my food on it because if it's cold again I'm sending it back and I'm not going back. We were in the middle of nowhere, Louisiana when he suddenly asked if we could have cheese dip for lunch. I looked on my gps for something close that may have cheese dip and to my surprise there was a restaurant called Que Pasa less than 1 mile away. Given the surrounding area, I wasn't expecting much but I must admit this place was GREAT! The restaurant was clean, the prices were excellent, and our servers (John and Katie) were amazing! If you're randomly in Saint Francisville, Louisiana and have a hankering' for some delicious cheese dip and fajitas you should definitely stop here! The food was absolute garbage. My dogs food would probably taste better than what I just ate. I got the shrimp enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice wasnt fully cooked. Some items on the menu are just OK, but I gave it 4 stars for the Fish Tacos alone. They are outstanding. Margaritas are from a machine but still tasty. After waiting an hour and a half for food, the waitress comes out and tells us she cancelled the order because "It just is not gonna happen." We talked to a manager, and we were told that it was all the waitress's fault for not letting the management know. She said this right after telling us that the waitress had told her we were getting tired of waiting. Manager also told us she has plenty of other people, even waiting in line to get in, so I guess she does not have to worry about us. So, no food, lost almost two hours of our life, and all we got were lame excuses and a half hearted apology. Never again. Had a good dinner here. Husband had fish tacos and I had shrimp fajitas/very good. Eight nice size grilled shrimps and sides of rice, beans and guac/sour cream perfect. Service was excellent and on a Saturday night we had no reservation but was seated immediately. Prices reasonable. read more

My daughter had the ribeye she ordered it med rare & it was perfect...you could definitely tell it was cooked over an open flame!! I had the Pollo Que Pasa & loved the Smokey grilled flavor of the chicken & the cheese that covered it was so good!! We had the queso as an appetizer & it was great also! The staff were so friendly & kind, our waitress was very attentive & made sure we had plenty of chips, salsa, & our drinks stayed topped off!
