Business hours showed open. Talked to the owner the day before coming to make sure.. Drove 2+ hours to go here and they here closed. Paper sign on the door said "call I'm around" well.. tried call and nothing. Wasted 4 hours of driving. read more

So I'm told the prices here are fantastic. To be honest, I'm brand new to the beading thing, so I have a hard time speaking to that. The selection seems pretty great (especially for such a small store) but again - not a lot of comparison. The thing that gets me is that their customer service is non-existant. I guess they cater to more experienced beaders, so they feel they don't need that. However, after wandering the store feeling like a fish out of water and getting no help and really not even being sure who actually worked there, I finally had to screw up the courage to ask a fellow shopper for advice. I'd read a Yelp review that said they offered jewelry making classes, so thought they might cater more to beginners. I was wrong. I was hoping to get some wire in addition to the beads and my guardian angel customer was sure there would be the kind she recommended there. She said that she'd been beading for many, many years and yet even she was surprised that they didn't stock it. And that the person she asked about it had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. So no doubt this is an amazing store if you know what you're doing. And if you only want to buy the beads themselves. But wait until you know what you're doing until you go. So, Queen Beads has awesome prices. Lots of semi-precious stones and much more. The staff (Connie, Amy the owners daughter) and I believe a co-worker Karen were super helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely shop here when I'm in town. Now the not so great part for me. I DO NOT WANT TO DIG. The shop is very cluttered and things are not laid out nice and neat. Now for the OCD, extremely organized person that I am it was quite a chore. Now if they had been the first place I went to maybe I would have had more patience but the digging like its the Goodwill or treasure hunt just doesn't work for me. But if you don't mind...you can definitely dig up some deals...literally!!! read more

Was just shopping around harry Hines for some crystals to glue on sunglasses and a place up the street recommended this place. I accidentally passed it so I went to another place that was also recommended named Maya's beads. The first place was overpriced, like double. I didn't know so I purchased about $77 worth of crystals. I left and went to Queen beads and was in heaven. Such a big variety to choose from and much much cheaper but quality is just as good. The owner so very nice and helpful. Will be a repeat customer for sure!! read more
