He made a couple calls and got back to me even when he realized an electrician was not my solution. Told me how he could help, but also informed me of the things that could make his efforts wasted. Something I know, from experience, that others count on for repeat business. A customer service quality/value I haven't experienced in too long. Can't PAY, for that! When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

Mike from Twin City Electrical came out to check out the fire hazard of a breaker box in the house…read morethat my partner and I just bought. That box was an absolute mess and needed to be replaced ASAP. Our home inspector took one look at it and laughed, saying that he couldn't believe that the house was still standing. Needless to say, that was a major priority in terms of renovation order of operations! Mike was very matter of fact when he came out to look at what we had. He explained what needed to be done with the box itself, as well as with the space around the box in order to meet Tonawanda codes. I'll be honest, when he first quoted a price, I felt like it was a bit high. But I'm not afraid of telling someone when I think the price is high and I appreciated that Mike was willing to work with me. After a little discussion we ended up at a price that I felt fit our budget. When it was time to actually complete the job, Mike came out with two of his crew members and made sure that everyone was on the same page about what was getting done. He then left his two assistants to finish the box and run a new line up the side of the house. I can't say enough good things about the guys he had helping him. They were friendly, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. (My husband knows a bit about electrical work but in Tonawanda you need to be licensed. His familiarity though was enough to be certain at least that the work was done well.) I'm definitely someone who likes to compare before I commit to any expenditure, so definitely call around compare pricing for your job. But I was extremely happy with the quality of the work and with the level of professionalism, so in your comparison shopping I would recommend including Twin City Electrical.

Called Jay at JRK Electric. He came right out and looked at the line on the house and determined it had to be replaced. Promised to come back because he. Ended to pick up supplies to do job. And he showed up next day in miserable snow storm and replaced everything back to circuit box. That also needed to be replaced. This guy got so sick working out in that storm that he couldn't come back for a few days. He did and finished the . Very polite, great sense of humor, reasonably priced. And 4 weeks later still texting me to see if everything ok. Still flickering so called NYSEG again and guess what ? Their line was also involved in the problem. Go figure!! Double our rates and and screw us when it's critical. I do thank The tech they sent out second time he found their problem and fixed it really fast. Now all is good.

I found JRK Electric on Yelp and called them. Jason came out and got us back up and running but we needed to eventually repair either underground or overhead. He provided us an invoice/estimate for the overhead repair on 12/5/15, total cost $1500. I gave him a deposit on 12/5/15 for $750. Despite numerous calls to initiate the job and 5 months later he has put off the job and no return on the deposit with I phoned and left him a message to say I will find some other electrician to do the job.This is not any way to do business, and very irresponsible.

Called MJM Sunday afternoon, they called back Monday morning, and we had someone on Tuesday at noon. They sent Tim out, who was awesome. Came in, gave it 2 looks, said he had to go back and get some supplies, and came back and banged it out - whole thing took maybe an hour. I didn't really care too much about cost at that point because my son was home from the hospital so the nursery was out of commission for the first day he was home but it was super reasonable to get fixed. Like to the point where i should have just called them to hang it originally. Plus there's some peace of mind from having a pro do it.
