During the whole time I was checked on to make sure I was doing okay and everything was explained every step of the way so I not only knew what was going to be done but also what exactly to expect. Dr. David Ngo took his time to review everything with me and thoroughly explain what he saw and and the reason for his recommendations. He was able to answer any questions I had and never did I feel he was rushing to get to his next patient. Made me feel that he genuinely cares about his patients and my dental health. I will absolutely plan on coming back for years to come. By far the best dental experience I've ever had!

I chose this dentist because of all the amazing reviews, and so I thought I'd detail my experience…read morebecause it wasn't as perfect as the reviews make it seem. They seem very knowledgable and seem to know what they're doing when it comes to dentistry, but my concerns are more in the administration side of things. I changed jobs earlier this year and got new insurance with a common major insurance provider, and I needed to get a procedure done. I asked them what the procedure would cost and they gave me a quote, which was already expensive, and I paid that at the time of service. However, when I came in for a routine cleaning 6 months later, they said the insurance "didn't pay as much as they thought" and stuck me with MORE THAN DOUBLE their original quote. I looked into the insurance claim and called the insurance company myself, and the insurance company paid exactly what was according to their billing schedule. There were no surprises. I think the office knew (or should have known, because they're the professionals and this is what they do) that this would happen, and they dishonestly gave me a lower quote, did the service, and then stuck me with the even more expensive bill (but to their credit, they did give me a lower price than what they billed to insurance, but it was still VERY expensive that I was not prepared for). Additionally, I distinctly recall the procedure treated four teeth, but then on the bill and insurance claim, they say they treated six. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to argue this, especially because it happened so long ago. I suspect they didn't contact me about this issue earlier for this exact reason. Again, dishonest. Another concern with this dentist is that it's unprofessional that they use Zelle to get around credit/debit card transaction fees. Every merchant has to deal with card transaction fees, they shouldn't be up-charging that cost and they shouldn't be using Zelle, which is supposed to just be a peer-to-peer payment network. Lastly, as much as I love dogs, I don't think it's hygienic that they keep a dog in their office. In all, I started off loving this dentist, and very disappointed that they turned out to be this unprofessional and dishonest. I'm sad I'll have to go elsewhere from now on.

I had a favorite practice I went to in Illinois and I would travel there for my care until the practice was finally closed due the practice relocating out of state. I tried a different practice in Gilbert over a year ago and had an awful experience. I was talking with someone about my dilemma and she highly recommended Serenity Dental - so I ripped off the band-aid and gave them a call. Whenever I would call any other practice I was always told my asks were not feasible. My ask was: Warm or room temp water rather than cold, 4 shots of novacaine, the use of the Synapse Dental Eraser (and nobody has this tool - but it is truly miraculous at blocking out pain). In the absence of the dental eraser my ask was to add Nitrous (laughing gas) in addition to the warm water & novacaine. I was told they don't typically warm water ahead of time but they would do so for me and I was also told that the novacaine & nitrous was totally doable. I went in for my initial visit and got my teeth cleaned, x-rays, etc. Everyone in the practice was so very kind to me. They really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at ease. The dentist even said he would provide me a prescription to obtain the dental eraser so that it can be used when needed at an appointment. I need to go back to take care of 2 cavities & have a crown. This is the first time in a long time that the idea of going back isn't giving me awful anxiety. Jess was the one that did the teeth cleaning for me and she is just a sweetheart. I also got to see Dr. Bhatt to discuss the needed care. He was super kind and really assured me that I came to the right place. So if anyone suffers from severe anxiety like me over dental visits - I would strongly encourage you to give this practice a try. This practice is truly the best - and I already love them more than the other practice I went to back in Illinois for over 25 years. I cannot thank this practice enough for taking such good care of me!

Ive had three great dentists, two retired and I moved away from the last one so my expectations are pretty high. My anxiety was through the roof around this experience, and everyone in this office has been so kind, patient, and understanding of my anxious situation, and their friendliness has really helped to put my nerves at ease. Dr. Birch is awesome and explains in great detail everything that he is seeing on the x-rays and photos, and he even thoroughly explained to me step-by-step what he was doing in the procedure to fix my old fillings. The office itself is beautiful and super modernized. Each patient room has its own television for the patient to watch Netflix during procedures. They also have popular music playing throughout the office so you can jam out during shorter visits. Can't forget about the beautiful entryway that greets patients and includes cold water and even a Keurig coffee maker. They make you feel at home as much as possible! My experience with this practice was fairly positive at first, but it ultimately became one of the…read moreworst dental experiences I've ever had. I initially came in because I had chipped one of my implant crowns and wanted both front implant crowns remade. Dr. Robert Swanson was very casual about the chip and even suggested simply leaving it as it was. I wanted it repaired properly, and he assured me it would be "no problem." He also told me he worked with a great lab and even stated that the lab was "the most expensive in town."... When it came time to remove my original cemented crowns, Dr. Swanson seemed unsure. I even asked how many times he had removed cemented implant crowns before, and he replied, "Not a lot." Despite that, the temporary crowns they placed were excellent. They fit comfortably, looked natural, and I almost forgot they were temporary. The problems began with the lab visit. Dr. Swanson told me I would work directly with the lab to customize the appearance of my new crowns. Instead, after waiting more than 30 minutes past my appointment despite being the only patient there, I was briefly color-matched and sent on my way with very little discussion. When I returned to preview the finished crowns, they were missing the gum porcelain entirely and were much larger than expected. I questioned the lab because they had color matched my gums during my first visit. After stating it wasn't in the work order, they acknowledged the issue and told me to give them another week to correct it, this was Friday. Surprisingly, by Monday morning, Premier Family Dental called to say the crowns were already finished and ready for placement. That timeline immediately seemed unusual. When I saw the revised crowns, they were extremely bulky. They felt unnatural, interfered with my tongue and bite, and the tooth/gum colors did not match at all. I expressed my concerns before they were permanently placed, but I was told my jaw just needed time to adjust and that I was "hyper fixated" on them. Unfortunately, things only became worse. Within days I developed severe jaw clicking, popping, and discomfort. Over the next two weeks, I returned FOUR separate times for adjustments. Each visit involved grinding the crowns down further until the undersides became uncomfortable yet the problems remained. When I continued asking for the crowns to be remade, Dr. Swanson refused and even tried to tell me I needed a mouth guard for sleeping. During our final conversation, he told me he would not remake them and stated that no one in the practice had the ability or skill set to correct the issue. The practice ultimately refunded the ENTIRE procedure, acknowledging that the crowns would need to be redone elsewhere even though Swanson told me the only way I would get a refund is if I could prove to him I was going to get them re done, which was EXTREMELY unprofessional and unethical to assume I was dining and dashing when they failed me and did terrible work. Since the new crowns were put in I have sought two independent second opinions from other dental providers. Both offices examined the crowns and independently concluded that they were poorly made and would need to be completely remade rather than simply adjusted. Hearing the same conclusion from two separate providers confirmed that the problems were not simply a matter of "getting used to them," but that the crowns themselves were not acceptable and required replacement. As a result of this experience, I am now starting over with another provider and am receiving treatment for significant TMJ symptoms that developed after these crowns were placed. I also received a patient relationship termination letter after requesting that the work be corrected. I would NEVER recommend this office or the work of Robert Swanson based on my experience. What should have been a straightforward replacement of two implant crowns resulted in repeated adjustments, a complete refund, ongoing jaw problems, a very trusting relationship tarnished and the need to have the entire treatment redone elsewhere.

Another local dental office has been providing care since the toddler year and we all get cleanings every 4 months. Today I learned we were billed for having 15 teeth worked on for fillings and our $2500 yearly max has been almost exhausted and it's only February. I would recommend parents attend appointments with their teenagers. Ask for their X-rays and get a second opion before you proceed with dental work that is permanent. I am now waiting to take my child back to our other dentist for a 2nd opinion to see what was actually done given this child had a cleaning late August 2024 . I feel a bit concerned much of the work completed and billed may have been unnecessary. Update: I have now learned that it is not legal for a minor to receive medical or dental care without consent of a parent or legal guardian. This to review finding, recommended treatmant plan risks, as well as review and agree to financial obligation BEFORE care is provided. This can only be circumvented for some preventative care and in the case of a medical or dental emergency, which was not the case for us and I was never contacted to consent or review their recommendations.
