This is not my usual Value Village location but I was in the area and decided to pop in. This location has a ton of great stuff when I went. Their shelves were well organized and full of great finds. I usually like to search for kitchen items and sometime some clothing items. This location had a great selection of kids books too! Some great find this time. The staff working here were also very friendly and pleasant. I ended up buying a cool handmade dress that fit me perfectly for $10, just a tad bit long on me. I also got 2 amazing condition Dr. Seuss books for $2 each, and a milk glass nut serving dish for $6. Check this location out if you're in the area. read more

So I'm usually a huge fan of thrifting and such but I had a terrible experience the last time I was here. First - So I get that with the current pandemic there is a lot more cleaning involved for all staff. So I partly understand the shortened hours to accommodate for cleaning. However, every other store I have been to recently as reinstated their regular hours. I think that 11am-7pm is just ridiculous, there's no time to go in the morning and most people who want to go in the evening, can't go either! Second - How can you have a store for buying clothes and not have your change rooms open?? AND not change your return policy!! So if you can't try on any clothes and you take home a bunch to try them on you can't return them?? You can only get an exchange? Honestly it's just ridiculous. I don't think I'll be back until you fix these two things. read more

How horrifying to complete a fundraiser going through the tremendous amount of work to receive not one/ not two / not even three ... but four of the reimbursement cheques bounce? This Value Village is definitely not my go to location but still good for looking for something to add to a costume for that Ugly Sweater party you're going to. I've found a few killer steals over the years as well but for the most part, the good stuff usually gets shipped to other locations that are busier. My pet peeve is a Walmart item like kids leggings being priced at $4 when they are only $4 brand new but then again I've scored next to brand new Josef Seibel's for $10 that were originally in the $100ish ball park. Well look what we got here. A store for second hand used items. Price is increasing due to inflation of the economy. Not so cheap anymore, but still people find stuff to buy here. You can find a lot of old stuff here. This place is great for unique items, like walking through the old times. I'd say this place is like Winners but nothing new. Place is pretty well organized. Staff is friendly and parking is large. Busy at times but not crazy busy. They have lots of books in one section, which is interesting to browse what other people were reading. Wide selection of clothing. The layout is pretty much like Winners. Just immerse yourself and window shop if anything peeks your interest. Recommended for anyone looking for cheaper used stuff or of older quality. read more

This is a brand new Value Village that is much nicer than any other in the city. After taking over Liquidation World, it was renovated and spruced up with new flooring and lighting. When I came to this location during the Grand Opening, I found some impressive items. There were some great books on travel, self-help, and language. I was surprised to find some very old classics that were amazingly still intact, but they were priced quite high. I also saw some great furniture, electronics equipment, and board games. There's also a counter where they have jewellery or video games locked up. I almost bought an antique brush and mirror set. I've found some really great clothing at VV, but this is after patiently searching through racks upon racks of clothing. You really have to go in with the mindset that you may leave empty handed. I love that I can find fashions that are totally unique that no one else will be wearing, but it's disappointing when I find nothing at all. I don't come to Value Village as much as I used to, mostly because I don't have time to look through everything, but also because the prices have gone up considerably. It used to be such a great place to get a t-shirt for $3, but now a t-shirt can cost up to $8. Also, they never used to markup big brand names, but now they do. A paid of Seven jeans used to sell for $20, but now they sell for $100. Value Village is still a great place to find a bargain; it just takes a lot of time and patience. read more

wow... total night and day difference from my experience at the southside location! Overall, I still can't say that I'm a fan of Value Village, but they won me over slightly. Since my boyfriend lives on the northside, we decided to go here to pick up some lumberjack-esque attire for an upcoming event. First off - the parking situation was much better at this location. It was definitely packed, but it's not nearly as crowded as it's southside counterpart. Despite the fact that it was 5:30 on a Sunday, the store was clean and the staff were friendly. The racks were very clearly labeled so it was easy to find what we were looking for. Which is awesome because I *HATE* searching through racks. I just don't have the patience for it. The only thing we couldn't find, was suspenders... but we found an amazing hat that we weren't looking for, so that balanced out nicely. AND, when we got to the checkout, they asked if i had some kind of card. Which I didn't. She asked if I wanted to sign up, and if i did, i would get 50% off our purchase. HELL YAH I WANT TO SIGN UP! The benefit to the card is that i'll get emails with a head's up of when the 50% off sales are happening. In the future, if I need something from Value Village, I'll be heading to this location! read more

I like this location better than Whyte ave. It's newer, cleaner and has better stock. Great finds for children's clothing. I often get a whole new seasonal wardrobe for my daughter for less than $100. I've even found great clothes for myself, name brand and in great condition. Found a lined dress skirt and pants for under $30 for both. read more

My favorite place to shop, the majority of my wardrobe is from Value Village, and In my honest opinion I look great. everything from Silver, Mavi,Private Members, Lacoste, Calvin Klein, Gap, Nike. and a host of other cool items. This is a nicely run store with a massive selection of varied designers, styles and sizes. They also have a good selection of household items, books, childrens clothes, toys. And most times if you bring in items for drop off you will get an additional discount on your purchase. read more

Yes! I am a fan but always have difficulty with access to the disabled change room. I AM DISABLED. HA, so there you go. The fact I have an invisible disability is no matter when I am listing to the left or right and about to collapse, I expect a big argument from whoever is in charge of the rooms because my word, calmly said is never enough. Very upsetting so when I come to the store I have to weigh how much I want what I have found if it is enough to warrant a pleading quest for the larger room so I can sit down and not fall down, which I have done before but to no avail. I have my vehicle parked right outside with the disabled placard prominently displayed but I do understand it could be anyone's vehicle but why so rude? Each and every store. So I have missed out for years not shopping or visiting or just buying a table cloth or trinket so no trying on is required.. well why so nasty to persons of limited mobility? Store policy? Not playing nice at all. read more

I love hunting for treasures at value village. I have been to every location across Edmonton and this location has been my favourite. The staff is great, the selection is awesome as the store is a really good size and the prices are generally quite low. I have come across a few over priced items but I always find a lot of really good deals; more so here than any other location. They have a good sized furniture area too which is not generally the case in some of the other stores and for the most part the store is clean and orderly...a lot more than in some of the other places...which makes the shopping experience better. At Halloween value village in general has a fantastic selection of new and used costumes. It is the first place I check when I'm in the hunt for the right outfit. I also like to keep an eye out for new items in their display case that I might use for gifts as they are usually priced around half of the original sticker prices. Great to stash away for birthday and Christmas gifts. read more

Edit: It needs to be known that their price gouging is getting out of hand. Walked in there to see bunch of stuff that is $10-15 when its sold NEW in box; They where selling it (used, scuffed, marked up and now dirty with their stickers) for $25-30. When I pointed this out and said I would appreciate paying a fair price (I even brought up the price for new in box collectables that I was trying to buy on my smart phone to show them I wasn't lying), I was told "Thats the price and we aren't going to change it". Absolutely 100% unreasonable to be pricing used and donated items so much higher than their original new instore price. I've yet to see this problem at other VV locations, and I visit each one of them often. ---- Shop here a lot for toys and kids clothing, and I've saved a lot by doing so. Everything is clean and well organized, they usually have tons of variety. The only issue I have is they often price used items for higher than the original purchase price (and sometimes they don't take the original store tags off items so you can see you're paying more for it than you would in the actual shop like Walmart or Winners). The service here is pleasant and the store is fairly well organized. I come here and hunt for picture frames which they always have a ton of and for much cheaper than brand new in the store! The 50% off card is awesome, as well as the stamps they give for donating. Be sure to donate during the day when someone is manning the door to get credit for donations, it saves me a ton of money. My only issue is the state of their parking lot. It desperately needs a facelift, as well the curb to exit back out to Fort Rd is TERRIBLE. I hope the property manager or building owner sees this, don't be cheap! Save your customer's vehicles and they will come back! read more

The service at this store has always been pleasant. The store is clean, organized. Yes prices are higher than they used to be and this is why I won't give them 5 stars. However I go out of my way to donate my items at this store in particular because I collect stickers on my "hero card" to get up to 30% off a purchase and they have always been reasonable when handing out stickers. Horrible service from the cashier. An item I was trying to purchase had 2 price tags. $4.99 & $14.99 The cashier charged me the higher price. When I pointed out the mistake, the cashier gave me super attitude and asked what I wanted her to do. Give me the lower price, obviously. She called for help from a superior but after 5 minutes and holding up the line no one came. Horrible horrible service. I will go out of my way to go to the Whyte Ave location now on. read more

I love shopping at Value Village, and this one is my favourite on this side of town. It's clean and well-organized and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I can always find something really great here. Lately, though, the prices are a bit out of control. $5 and more for a used kids' t-shirt? $10 for a pair of used men's Walmart brand track pants? The same thing I bought brand new a few weeks ago for $3 more?? No thanks. But they will continue to overprice so long as people are willing to pay for it. Good thing pillow cases are still 99c because that's what I needed today, as well as a $4 wallet that looks much more expensive. Value Village is getting stupid in it's overpricing. they charge a premium price that is equal to or greater than the cost of buying it brand new on sale. I avoid it now because of how greedy they are. they pay charities just 10 cents per pound for ONLY the soft clothing items they get which means that those cute jeans that you paid them 20 bucks for (which you could have purchased for ten on sale at the store), value village paid 20 cents to charity for. And the coffee maker you got for 30 bucks (which you could have bought for $40 brand new) they paid $0 to charity for. 0 money goes to charities when you donate "hard items" Shop at independent thrift stores or goodwill. This is one of cleanest and neatest VVs I've visited. I usually go several times in the fall as I scout for the components for unusual Halloween costumes. This a very big space and it is always organized which some of the other locations are not. It seems to have a lot more baby and kids items maybe because of its location in the burbs. There is lots of parking, although the eastern entrance off Fort Road is a little trickey, easier to enter from 137 Ave. read more

I LOVE this Value Village it is easily the cleanest and best stocked thrift store I have been to in this city. I found alot of nice things today in my size and that was even with not going through all of the racks as I ran out of time before being able to browse through the whole store. All the staff I dealt with were really nice despite the fact it was really busy and they were obviously understaffed tonight. I was particularly impressed with how a young girl handled a customer who was irate and abusive over not being able to purchase something that had accidentally found it's way onto the shelf without being properly packaged with all it's other pieces. Admittedly Value Village has a reputation of price increases that are getting dangerously close to original retail in some cases but for the selection,service,and beautiful clean store I was able to enjoy at this location I am a little more willing to overlook it versus down on Whyte where the store is dirty and the service is spotty. read more
