They put my feet in the water for pedicure and it always got cold before they finally started. The owner started out nice and considerate but over the past year she became extremely rude and disrespectful. She talks to her kids on speakerphone for long lengths of time, ignoring the customer. It takes twice the amount of time to do my nails because she's constantly getting up and doing other things while I wait. She yells in Vietnamese across the salon on a consistent basis. I've seen her make other employees cry because she scolds them in front of customers, therefore the turnover is high. She and her husband argue in their language loudly in front of customers making everyone extremely uncomfortable. Most of the time I enjoyed my pedicures because they were always done by other employees. Over time she stopped listening to me about what I wanted for my nails because she was too busy yapping to other employees. She's embarrassed me and made me cry more than once and about a few months ago I'd had enough! I always tipped her well even if she didn't deserve it. I have friends that stopped going to her for the same reason. She will never be rude or belittle me again. I've already found a new place that I love. The service I received was wonderful, I had forgotten how good it felt to relax and be treated with kindness.

I went to Stripes because I had been here once before with my mom and I don't really like going to new nail places if I haven't been there before. I asked the nail tech my nails were long enough for a gel manicure. She called over another nail tech, held my hands up to her, asked her a question, and they laughed at me. Then they strongly recommended I get acrylic tips which I did not want, but ended up getting anyway. I will say my nails look nice for what I got. They did a good job, but during the whole appointment I felt humiliated and embarrassed. I likely won't be returning.
