Best Nail Salon in Austin. Mani/pedi/brows/lash extensions are my favorite. The owner, River, runs a tight ship. If you make an appointment it will be honored where as in other Salons around 78704 you can have an appointment but end up waiting and waiting and waiting as they take walk-ins before you. I've never been disappointed with any Queen Salon service. But I want to give a shout-out to VIVIAN. She's talented, professional and efficient. I came based on the good reviews and wanted to walk out as soon as I came in. The shop is so tight and the manicure tables are literally right next to each other. There is no personal space and your chair is touching the client next to you. I was so uncomfortable esp during Covid times... I requested a basic manicure with regular polish and I asked for black tips (French design). The tech had to redo my nails two times because the color would run when she would put the top coat on and also because the lines were crooked! She was impatient with the dry time by putting on the top coat too soon. I get French design on my nails all the time at other places and they have all looked symmetrical and the polish is flat. The results from today are SO sloppy looking and textured, even after she tried to fix it. I felt rushed so I just paid and left but I will NOT be back. read more

They overcharged us, then acted like WE were confused when we asked why our prices were so off, and they refused to fix it.... Some major gaslighting and scamming going on at this business. I'll be disputing with my bank and also letting the BBB know about this sketchiness. This is the opposite of how you run a business, y'all. Went to Queen with my best friend to get pedis (for us both) and a mani (for her). We were told to pick out the color from the swatches at a table and take a picture on our phone of the color we want. It was totally unclear what was an additional charge and what was just a regular polish color. When we sat down, the nail tech asked us for our colors. We were told there was a $5 upcharge for my color bc it was neon gel, and a $20 upcharge for my friend bc it was iridescent gel. I get the upcharge for gel, but $20 for a gel color being iridescent is wild. This is not the worst part. About halfway through the service we were asked if we want Lux ($58)or basic ($38) pedis to which we both answered basic. We were given a menu for pricing and I saw the basic or "queen" pedi listed as $38. With the $5 upcharge for my polish the total should have been $43 + whatever I was going to tip. My friend asked what was the difference and the techs explained "the wax" , hot stones and better massage was included for the Lux. Neither of us received wax, hot stones or a great massage with our service, so we definitely received the basic queen pedi. My friend and I were chatting while they did our polish and suddenly she realized that they were painting her nails the wrong color. They tried to tell her it was right and she pushed back and brought them the swatch. They then realized they had painted the wrong color, but never apologized, and acted pissed off, as if my friend had been such a jerk for wanting the correct color she asked for. When I got to the register after my pedi, I was surprised when I was told my pedi was $58. I explained I received the Queen pedi + $5 for polish and my total should have been $43. The woman at the front rolled her eyes and said "all pedis $58". I told her that's the cost for the Lux pedi that I did not get, and I was being overcharged. She looked at me like I had two heads and pretended not to understand what I was saying. At that point I gave up, paid, and now I'm writing this review. Arguing with scammers themselves never gets you far, so I'll just proceed to dispute the charge, let everyone know how sketchy (and RUDE) this place is, and absolutely never go back. read more

I went here this weekend for the first time but have mixed feelings. I made an apt online with a specific technician after seeing some of her work online. I walked in at my apt time and was not asked my name and just thrown to the closest tech. There was zero attention to my cuticles, no soaking of my hands or cleaning up of the nail bed. This was my first time doing SNS so maybe that's normal but I've never paid for a manicure where they didn't at least soak your hands first. They started going at my nails with a battery powered drill and then filing which felt more uncomfortable than comfortable. It's a pretty good price and overall I don't hate how my nails look but some attention to detail could go a long way. You can tell from my photo that some of the nails are lopsided and weren't evened out. read more

I used to love Queen Spa. About 6 months ago they were really good, but sadly, my last few experiences I've left disappointed. I will give 3 stars for the great pedicure service I just received, but the last 3 times I've come in for my nails, they're so bad. I try to be specific and patient, but after being in the salon for 2 and a half hours and my nails still looking lumpy and unevenly shaped, I have to get on with my day. See my pics to see what I mean. I asked for stiletto shape. It's not too difficult with how long my nails are. I could have shaped them myself, but the tech told me that they would break? The salon was pretty busy on a Tuesday afternoon so that seemed like a good sign! The employees seem to work pretty quickly, but don't skimp on perfection! I had a pretty crazy and time consuming nail design picked out, along with needing tips and special shape. Lee was my nail tech today. I showed her a reference picture for the nails I wanted and it was smooth sailing from there! She put so much concentration and effort into getting the shape and design just perfect. I'll never go anywhere else in Austin to get SNS nails!! I've had a couple hiccups when calling to make a reservation but if you do it online it's pretty easy. Plus they're sooooo fast!! No more 2 hrs in the nail salon for a mani/pedi. Out of the 10 times I've been here, 9 of the times they do my hands and toes at the same time. It's incredible. My last pedicure (gel) lasted over a month and a half! And my nails (SNS) usually last about a month. Best spot! read more

I have been visiting this Salon regularly for about 8 months now, and it has really gone downhill. I called ahead on a Tuesday morning to request an appointment for 6:30pm for myself and 2 friends. Once we arrived, it was a madhouse. This salon is popular due to the location, and it used to be a great option in terms of service. I was with 2 friends who were getting pedicures, and I was waiting for a manicure. They had me sit on a flimsy stool in between the two pedicure chairs while I waited for my friends to get their pedicures. I told them I didn't mind being separated from my friends to get my manicure, but they had me sit and wait uncomfortably for at least 45 minutes. At the time one of my friends had finished her pedicure, they said they didn't have room for me at a manicure station (even though I made an appointment for an hour prior), so they were going to have me and my friend switch places so I could get a manicure in one of the pedicure chairs and she would be stuck sitting on the stool waiting for her nails to dry. Horrible service and experience. Eventually, they seated me at a manicure table and rushed through my manicure. I had been waiting for close to an hour and 15 minutes by that point, and they did a horrible job. They rushed me out because they needed my spot and refused to carry my things over to a waiting area with me for my nails to dry, so the polish rubbed off and looks terrible. They also had to re-do one of my friends pedicures because they rushed through it as well. I'm never going back, trust the poor reviews. This place has gone downhill. read more

I could not find a place where it's possible to remove gel polish cover on my nails and I've got recommendation to go to Queen Spa. And it's a Nice salon, I've got a great result. But unfortunately a girl (don't want to write her name here, maybe it's just a bad day she had) was really stressed and her all actions by her hands were too much rude. She probably was not in a mood at all or she doesn't like her job. Moreover I've got a few cuts and only after I asked her to make smth like put medicine on it - she did it ‍ When she was about finishing she started to talk with her coworker on Thai language (probably) that's was inappropriate in my point of view because they continue to talk and talk. I went here on a Sunday afternoon an hour before they closed and was not impressed. I got SNS dip powder on my natural nails and asked for 1 tip since my pointer finger nail had broken. For one tip they added an extra $5 to my whole manicure. ($48 for dip + $5 extension = $53) I also asked for color #357 which looked more light purple/lavender but was actually pink. When she did one coat and I asked if we could switch she said she wouldn't have time since they were about to close. No but deal since I do also like light pink but it would've been nice if they offered a discount since it was wrong color I thought I was getting. On top of that the woman left a ton of product around the cuticles from dip powder (didn't ask me to wash hands before putting clear coat and top) and didn't bother to moisturize cuticles/my hands when done like most places do. Also when she filed my thumb finger she filed in crooked so I'll have to go home and fix it. I'll also echo what others have said about pricing not being transparent since they just tell you to pick a color and don't specify which ones cost more. You can get a lot better service and nails done somewhere else for same price so go elsewhere read more

I enjoy going to Queen Spa, mainly because they have the best color selection in the area. However, they tend to over book which makes appointments frustrating rather than enjoyable. Overall... Pros: great color selection, has nail art options, location, cute inside, clean Cons: you book an appointment and seem to never been seen and done in time, customer service is meh, sometimes burn my nails from drills(SNS) probably because they are trying to rush River is fantastic and works her booty off to make sure things run smoothly.
