I know this is the go-to place for Atlanta brides, and pageant girls, but wow did I have a bad experience during my engagement season (2019-2022 thanks to Covid). I have had so so many friends have their wedding dresses done here I was actually excited when it was my turn - almost like it was rite of passage. I made my appointment a month in advance (as suggested by multiple friends plus at the time because of the pandemic alterations were taking much longer and booking up VERY far in advance) and double booked for the same day I had a doctors appointment in the area (which is about an hour away from where I live) When I arrived the woman who apparently does all the quotes for brides wasn't there...she was out getting a facial and had no plans to come back in. They also had no record of my appointment. They tried to say I had the wrong day (though again, no record of my appointment) to which I explained that there was no way that was possible as I specifically booked this day to kill two birds with one stone. I even showed them the call log on my phone showing that we had spoken on the phone and when and for how long. Then they said come back another day (reminder I originally had to book a point in advance and I had already been told by other alterations companies that I was late to book, even over a year out)...so I did come back, after my appointment and explained how far I had to come and that it was unprofessional of them to just say "try again" to which they actually agreed. So they got her in after another half an hour, and they did the work. Ended up being quoted $850 for ONE of my dresses. And $500 for the other (though all they were doing to the second one was hemming on a simple slip gown...which also indicated to me that they are just making pricing up because why would hemming on one be almost the same price as multiple services on a much more intricate handmade lace ballgown gown?) Listen, bridal alterations are expensive but that was truly a silly number to throw out here. They also quoted me an additional $55 to add EACH cup (4 total). WHAT? This was by far the most expensive quote I got out of four. Like by $400+ more than even the next most expensive. It's comical how expensive this place is looking back. I can't imagine what they are charging now a few years later. I ended up elsewhere at a an alterations specialist in Buckhad who did an amazing job on both gowns for $600 total (whom also made custom sleeves for one of the dresses) and every appointment was so personal and wonderful. It could not have been a better experience. Gave them the benefit of the doubt of two stars because I know they can do god work but the lack of professionalism, rudeness, and laughable sum was just too much for me. My experience was a one star affair. Sadly, I do not recommend. read more

I was in a tight bind and really needed some alterations by the next day on a blazer and some slacks. I called around all the places within 20 miles, until I found them. I ended up calling them 30 minutes before closing to see if they could get them altered by 1 PM the next day, and they agreed! I got caught in traffic and ended up getting there at 5:53 PM (they close at 6:00 PM) and they still let me in and put in my order. Plus, the rush fee was only $15! By 1 PM the next day I had my blazer and slacks, and they did a great job! All in all I had a great experience there. I came here a few weeks ago for an alterations appointment based on the good reviews. However, when I arrived at the shop, there were already 3 other appointments scheduled at the same time, in a shop that is very small. We were all in each other's way. They were very unorganized and all over the place. When it was finally my turn to get into the dress so she can see what needed to work on, she barely looked at me. I was basically in my dress for a good 5 minutes for her to see what she needed to work on, but my wait time was at least 20 minutes. I felt very rushed. She kept telling me that there is so much work that needed to be done on my dress. When there really wasn't. She wanted to charge me $1200 and then changed it to $1000. On my lunch break I went to this tailor in Roswell to have two pair of pants altered to fit my frame. I'm tall and slim so I rarely find pants that fit well. At the tailor, there was one woman ahead of me. A caucasian woman with a bridesmaid dress she needed altered. The store owner takes her information, lets her know the cost and when it will be ready. I'm in the fitting room at this point, but I hear the store owner tell the woman "you can pay when you pick the dress up next week" When measurements are taken and it's my turn to sign paperwork I meet the owner at the counter and we talk cost and timeframe. I explain she can take her time with my slacks and I'll pick them up at her convenience. She tells me my total again, and says "you have to pay now". I was surprised, but I paid. I returned to work and thought about it. The only difference between my items and the woman ahead of me was that the bridesmaid dropped her dress off last minute and needed it done asap. But I , understanding she was busy, I told her take her time. I just got off the phone with the tailor. Not wanting to assume, I asked her if the woman ahead of me was her regular customer. To which she replied "no" I explained that while I didn't mind paying up front, she offered the caucasian woman ahead of me the option of paying later. After a few vague excuses, I explained that even if it wasn't intentional unintentional, discrimination is still discrimination. I picked up my pants and took them elsewhere. read more
