There's a lack of selection here to choose from. The staff are helpful and they do the best they can with what they've been given. If given the choice, I'll hightail it to the Lefferts location. It's just as small but it looks fuller and brighter on the inside.

After a couple of months of never making it here, I finally did. It was a short walk from subway…read morestation. Maybe five minutes. It's on the corner but if you're not paying attention you can walk right by it. Right now it seems everything is kept on first floor. Books, dvds and computers. The limit for new patrons is five items. Some movies are for three days and some are for 7 days. I didn't notice right away that the movie I took out was three days. Fines are cancelled right now, but can change. It was a cozy little library.

This is an OK library. The librarians are quite helpful when you need assistance and the children's…read morelibrarians are very child friendly which I love because not all children's librarians should be in that position. They offer a weekly playgroup and story time here and I tend to bring my toddler here more often than to the Ozone Park branch as there are left major streets for me to cross with him. The few times he has come to play group, he enjoyed it for the most part. He took the librarians in charge of facilitating the playgroup and loved meeting the other moms and children there. The children's book section is also very well stocked with a nice variety of books that my toddler and I enjoy reading together each week. When we don't want to go to the Ozone Park branch or to the Children's Discovery Library at the Central Library, we come here and it's perfectly fine for that. I'm giving it 3 stars because it needs to be updated the way they just finally finished updating the Ozone Park branch.

The librarians are helpful and somewhat friendly, but my main issue is the noise and the lack of rule enforcement. The children reading and learning is absolutely fine, it's the people who are blasting videos on their phones without headphones and constantly being disruptive to the workflow. No staff attempts to enforce any rules. The tables are oddly intimate and facing each other, so you'd be facing another individual for hours on end, and chances are they are blasting music too. If you like staring at crackheads, I think you'd love this place. There are CDs, DVDs, Books and all, but they're all old. They need to update their collection. I came here to study for an exam and got so irritated with all of the inadequacies, I left. I think studying on the Chambers Street platform is better than studying here. SMH. What a library.

This is my local library, and I only use it sometimes when I need a quiet place to catch up on…read morework. The librarians do a great job keeping the after school kids in line and quiet. Everything looks well kept and the place has always been very clean. They offer language, computer, reading, and many other classes, although I've never attended one. They only have one restroom for everyone. They have computers available for use, and free WiFi. It's located on a residential block that has free street parking available. Coming here every now and then reminds me of what a staple it is in my community and how it serves the community if you let it. It's been through several renovations since I remember it and it looks good. I came on this specific day to get an issue resolved with my library card and check out the new books selection. There new book selection is great it's books front be same year meaning they're doing funding wise. I got help quickly and resolved my issue quickly. Love coming here always.

The intimacy of this place is wonderful, Every librarian I met was a real life Librarian! Always look for my favorite book (just the book , not to read) and like an old friend, its there waiting for my check-in. One of these days I'' get down to the outdoor lower level and discover what they were trying to communicate with such an exciting space. I wonder if the old children's library is still together downstairs. If I recall it has a magnificent circular desk. Very stately and scholarly for a Children's Library. Glad its still around promoting Learning and Reading!

I'm grateful for my local library. I've always loved visiting the library since I was a little…read moregirl. I have visited this location for many years. Staff is always helpful and friendly. It is where I have taken refresher classes for crocheting and sewing. I always borrow books from this location. If I'm not home and need a document printed, this is where I come. They provide classes for children, teens, young adults and adults. They are a great source of information in the community. There is a job/training posting board which frequently updated information. The library is there to serve the community and they are doing a great job.

Very welcoming and staff is welcoming as well. Accessible to the community. Not so much if you live outside the community. The B15, B6 and 3 train is the closest MTA transit. Also it's weird it's right across from a cemetery. They have a 2nd and 3rd floor for events and meetings but the elevator is out. Not helpful in the ADA compliance but not the library's fault. Whomever was supposed to get it completed seems to drag their feet a bit . However it's always good to have a library in your neighborhood.
