There's a lack of selection here to choose from. The staff are helpful and they do the best they can with what they've been given. If given the choice, I'll hightail it to the Lefferts location. It's just as small but it looks fuller and brighter on the inside.

It's loud and the staff does nothing to control the noise. I've been to this branch on back to back…read moredays and the staff has allowed one person to have a conversation on speakerphone for about an hour on the first day, it was a weekday, and on the second day allowed someone to remain on the phone significantly longer than an hour laughing and chatting. This branch also has no private study rooms. It's difficult to want to root for public libraries when this level of inconsideration is allowed.

I remember the day this library opened its doors. Prior to the construction it was an empty dirt lot where kids used to ride their BMX dirt bikes. People brought cakes and pies to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony, geekish memory but I love books. The Images of America-Forest Hills book is copyrighted in 2013, that's a current book by my standards. Many other popular titles hold the center of the floor, highlighting the top authors books. The PC area continues to be the busiest area outside the childrens section after 3:00pm, so if you need to jump on a machine quickly, head over to FedEx or Staples. Copies and newspapers remain at the front by the windows, my preferred area to narrow down my choices to two books, not seven. Great service at the counter provides minimal line hold ups. The wacky hours are a byproduct of citywide cuts, not the libraries decision. I scored Ann Rands FOUNTAINHEAD today which was held together by lots of thick tape which is fine. I just hope all the pages are where they are supposed to be.

It's on the corner but if you're not paying attention you can walk right by it. Right now it seems everything is kept on first floor. Books, dvds and computers. The limit for new patrons is five items. Some movies are for three days and some are for 7 days. I didn't notice right away that the movie I took out was three days. Fines are cancelled right now, but can change. It was a cozy little library.

I forgot the process in terms of any services needed requires a library card to do anything. I found this out when I asked to use the computer. I was told to sign up at the kiosk which I tried to do, but Lo and behold a library card and pin are required to access a computer. I asked a clerk if she could look up my info so that I can access the computer. She said she could offer me a replacement card for $2. If I were in a jam and didn't have a library card at all I would've obliged, but I've explained that I left my library card at home. I mean really who still uses the library, I most certainly don't. I've been out of school for over a decade now. Her response was that unfortunately she couldn't look up my info because she's just a clerk. Ehh you work here don't you? Isn't it your job to verify info if necessary especially when it applies to customer service? I told her that's odd and yeah no thanks. She told me I could ask someone else. I walked away because I was truly baffled. I ended back at the front desk to ask for assistance. A very nice woman gave me a courtesy pass to use the computer. She asked for my Id, found my previous addresses, and updated it to my current one in the system. There's an ample amount of computers for your use. Computer usage is for an hour. There's a Media Center, Children's Room, Book Section, Study Section, Bathroom (a key is required), and a customer service area. They recently had an update over the weekend which makes doing anything requiring the internet extremely slow. If you need to print anything, a page costs .15¢. Your first 20 pages are free.

They are pretty small, but have a nice selection of fictional books and a larger area for kids books. The prices were reasonable and the girl working the desk was kind. I would definitely come back!
