I get it that they have bills to pay, but our support was in the form of paying $50/pumpkin that cost $10-15 at any Home Depot, Safeway, or Costco. Literally we'd spend $150/year on pumpkins here. COVID review: I am very torn between this was a cute pumpkin patch, but also not toddler friendly and very pricey. Our 2 year old did not find any joy on any of the rides and if I wanted to join him I would have bought myself a ticket too. By the time we wanted to do the hayride, the truck had died down and they were no longer doing the ride, but they did not make an announcement and like the many comments state, the line to buy tickets are ridiculously long, no way i was going to wait in line for a refund, so i went to the side door of the attendee and asked for my money back. The petting zoo animals, seemed almost sick so highly recommend deep washing your hands after, the pigs had blood coming out their butt and the goats had very yellow mucus in their eyes, as a dog mom i know those are not good signs. The one water activity my son wanted to do was the water boats, which was cool and the guy attending it helped him get started which was nice. We visited Queen's Pumpkin Patch over the weekend and thought it was such a cute and festive place for families with young kids. There are so many pumpkins and squashes to pick from. In addition to a regular pumpkin patch, they also have other activities for families. Kids can play in hamster balls. There are workers moving the hamster balls around in the pool of water. There are places all over the pumpkin patch for photo opportunities. They have a small train to take kids around the pumpkin patch. There's even a little food stand for snacks. And the best part? They have a little petting zoo where you can go in to see rabbits and chicks. And even pet the pigs and goats. Line to get in was long because you have to fill out a safety form in case you get on the hayride?? Okay what if i'm not interested? Nope, still have to! $4 entrance fee + everything else costs $6 and up for the activities per person. Not worth it for such a small pumpkin patch. Extremely overpriced, crowded and small, and odd decorations. Oh and $10 per person for the super small corn maze. Workers seem in a bad mood and not happy to be there. Most of the food was sold out and it was only 3pm. Don't bother getting the popcorn, it was stale and $2 for such a tiny bag. Hot dogs and corn dogs are just sitting there looking old. One thing is for sure, this place is definitely family oriented. Shout out to the girl running the electric boats today, the original boat my son got on stopped running and she didn't hesitate to switch it out and give him a longer ride. Thank you. Hay ride was long and fun! Great scenery. Cow ride both my boys enjoyed it ages 9 and 18months. Green train ride was enjoyable for them as well. Pumpkin slingshot was super fun and my oldest enjoyed trying to make a basket. Petting zoo was nice, there's a black goat that was a little feisty BEWARE, piggies were adorable. Chicks and rabbits we couldn't pet because they were in cages. Now for the disappointED part, upon arriving we paid for all the attractions and all the entry fees which came out to $96. Three adults, one baby and one 9 year old. They say that babies under 1 are free but I guess not for the attractions. However after we attempted to do the water Buffalo "experience" TWICE once on our own and once after complaining that nobody was there to assist us. Let's just say it wasn't a good experience and now we know why. We were told in the morning when we first purchased our tickets that we were the first people to buy the Buffalo experience for today. After talking to a couple of families that had been there a couple times they too also had the same experience and on top of that would not be refunded! I think it's super frustrating that this place is selling tickets to an attraction yet they aren't actually being available for it. On top of that mess, we were sold a extra ticket for whatever reason and again when trying to get our money back for it we were told we couldn't. Bumper boat was hazardous for young children. The boat makes loud squeaking noise. No one was watching my sonq which I didn't expect. But I got yelled at by the employee for running to the back of the pool to try to save my son who got stuck. The manager said that employee has been there for years and has some sort of disability. If equal opportunity is embraced here doesnt mean children's safety can be compromised or lives be at risk. Petting zoo was messy and very smelly (the worst I have experienced). My son had diarrhea and fever with bacterial infection afterwards. Suspected by his pediatrician that the mini zoo was the cause. People managment, training and customer service need to be improved. Cute hidden gem pumpkin patch in the South Bay Area! It's free to enter, but you have to pay additional money for some of the attractions. The petting zoo was free and you are allowed in for 5 minutes with a group of 15 others. There are a lot of cute areas to take pictures around the patch. The pumpkins were rather on the expensive side. I came here to by some pumpkins to carve later, but the regular sized ones were around $20 each! I've seen the same size around $7-10 at another patch I went to last year. The smallest size pumpkins started at $5 and prices went up to $30+. They have a decent sized parking lot with someone directing the cars and letting you know where to park which was convenient. Overall, I think it's a great pumpkin patch for families as there are a lot of activities for kids - petting zoo, hamster balls, cow train ride, pony ride, painting pumpkins, etc. If you are looking to buy pumpkins or for something more geared towards adults, this may not be the place for you! read more

Now that October will soon be over, I wanted to squeeze in ONE MORE pumpkin patch to explore! And we chose to explore Queen's Pumpkin Patch in Saratoga. I've driven past this pumpkin patch for years, but have never visited this place until today. From the streets, this pumpkin patch looks like a small pumpkin patch with not many things to do. But I was pleasantly surprised by all of the activities Queen's Pumpkin Patch has inside. We went to this pumpkin patch on a Friday morning. It looked like Queen's Pumpkin Patch was hosting a field trip, so it was a little busy that morning. Normally, the petting zoo is free, but we didn't get a chance to go inside as the doors were locked today. Most of the attractions were open today, such as the cow train, the hamster balls, the slide, and the hay maze. The only attractions that weren't open were the bumper boats and the pony ride. Oliver was a huge fan of the slide and the elongated, yellow pumpkins that he called "Nana's." My mom and I tried to tell him that the yellow pumpkins were pumpkins and not bananas, but he was not convinced. Oliver currently has a huge liking towards bananas ever since he picked out a banana plush doll from the Museum of Ice Cream. He is still a little scared to go on the rides, so we didn't get to experience that today. As this pumpkin patch is smaller than most pumpkin patches we've been to, I wouldn't recommend going here unless it is in your local area (which it is for us). It is a fun pumpkin patch to visit for a short while, but it definitely wouldn't be worth the drive if you live more than 20-30 minutes away. The place was small, yet that's all that you really need when you have an infant. There are some activities for kids to do. My son and I went into the Petting Zoo and rode the Green Train. They do not allow pets, as they have donkeys and they'll get spooked! So DON'T BRING DOGS! I feel as if they're letting way too many people in at once and it seemed that no one was adhering to the 6-feet apart guideline. There wasn't any staff that tried to enfore that rule either. The place was PACKED with people. The lines for everything, everyone was next to each other. Everyone wore a mask, which was good! The staff seemed overwhelmed... I asked the lady when I was paying for my pumpkin if there was a way of them to know who paid for what pumpkin and she said that it's all about trusting the people... so... you can honestly lie or steal their pumpkins w/o them knowing. Our newborn came into this world 4.5 months ago and we couldn't wait to take him and our two other sons for our first family outing with our new addition. Memories from previous years and taking the other boys when they were much younger (both 10 by the way) was relived with a newfound joy. We stopped bringing the boys to pumpkin patches because they said "they have outgrown it". But being able to take them and our new little boy all together brought a new sense of happiness that we can now re-enjoy the precious moments of dressing our child up and watching them grow year by year in different costumes. The prices were fair (same as some of the other ones we used to go to), we didn't indulge in pet petting or any of that since the two big boys are really too old for that. Back then we used to buy them tickets for the slides and jumpy house etc and it was fun for them. I mean a couple dollars for a brief moment of childhood fun and creating memories isn't too bad. One they they'll grow up and be teenagers and you'll reminisce and even sometimes wish they were babies again. But there is no price tag on the memories, photos, and just the feeling of togetherness. A family as a whole. Just us 5. When we left, the sun was setting and it started to get chilly. We all left happy and picked up a pizza on the way home. Simple family time. The petting zoo was dismal. My child had fun on the water bumper things. Today me and the family went to Queen's Pumpkin Patch. It was pretty normal in the beginning because the entrance fee seems normal but when we got to the food... no... just no. I paid 17$ in total. I don't mind the amount of money I spent today but I have to admit that 4$ for hotdogs that are literally half the size of a normal one and we're microwaved heated we're a complete no, 6$ for an "Elote" which ended up being a tiny corncob the size of your index finger being stretched from your thumb which is not that big and contrasts the image you all had on the photos which is also a big no, and funny thing about the corncob, a staff member walked by with larger corn cobs but for some reason gave my sibling a smaller one which was disappointing considering we paid the normal amount for a normal corncob :/ and when comparing these prices and quality to other businesses, you can tell that it's a bit of a scam. There are a variety of activities but of course you'd need to spend 4-12 dollars per the necessary tickets. But of course you could get the bundle of 20 tickets but you'd have to pay 40$ for them which is a bit pricey in my opinion. A suggestion I have would be to give out wristbands and keep the ticket system for activities like rides and stuff. Wristbands would have to give access to game activities which would probably be more considerate instead of wasting tiny tickets and the prices for the wrist bands can range from 15-40 based on the benefits given for each. This is a great neighborhood pumpkin patch that isn't overly crowded. My kids had so much fun today. Free admission includes: free hay maze with a small slide, petting zoo, free movie at 7pm, and lots of great photo opportunities. They are open from 9am-9pm. My kids loved the hamster ball ($8) and there was no wait at 3pm, first Sunday in October. $8 for 8 minutes sounds like a good deal to me. They also have small row boats ($8), train ride($5) and barrel train ride($5). They have a snack shack that sells popcorn, cotton candy, and drinks. Easy to find parking and fun way to entertain kids for a few hours. We well be back for sure. read more

After walking around this empty lot with our dog and actually having a worker take a picture of the three of us (gf, dog, and myself) we were scolded and accused of allowing our dog to pee on a pumpkin. Then, we were told our dog isn't a working dog so he is not allowed. I'm sorry, but 1) your associate just kindly took a picture of the three of us and 2) you're not allowed to tell us or even ask if our dog is a working dog or not and 3) what kind of people would go to a pumpkin patch and just allow their dog to lift a leg on a pumpkin?!? Icing on the cake: A bystander hopped in the conversation and said "our kids don't want to step in puddles while out here". The others seemed to applaud his remark. HA are your kids not playing around in the petting zoo with goat and pig urine and feces everywhere?!? We felt ganged up on by a bunch of extremely rude workers for literally nothing. Everything was going well till we had to use the bathroom and had to wait in line for the hamster ball. Porta-potty were so disgusting to the point were a guy came out almost throwing up, pee all over the floor no toilet paper, one had cover seats tissue but that was it and to top it off NO WATER to wash your hands WTF! Not sure what lures people to these suburban pumpkin patches. Everything is horribly over priced and there are no package deals. Lines move as slowly as Disney Land. A pumpkin similar to what you buy at the grocery store is $25-35. A single activity is $5-8. In the petting "zoo", only a goat and pig are roaming around - the other animals are all caged. So drop nearly $100 with kids for some dusty memories and cranky kids. read more

Wanted to include this little update: We visited this pumpkin patch on a Wednesday during the late afternoon (maybe like 4:00pm) on the first week that this pumpkin patch was open (early October 2021). The pumpkin patch had lots of people all about, but not a CRAZY amount that was overwhelming to be around. Most of these people were not participating in any of the paid for rides/activities, so there were no lines. Apparently, the weekends get insane there and the lines for everything are pretty epically long for a simple pumpkin patch visit. As it gets closer to Halloween, I'm sure that the pumpkin patch gets a little busier on the weekdays too. But overall, it sounds like people DO pay to ride lots of things...so Queens Pumpkin Patch might think that they are making tons of money and doing everything right, but I still firmly believe that they could make so much more doing this the right way and make parents happy to take their kids there by altering how they charge for everything. First of all, to alleviate some of the intense lines that everybody is unhappy about on the weekends, perhaps they should have an ENTRY FEE line that is separate from a line for tickets b/c the huge reason why this line takes forever is that parents are discombobulated by all the crazy individual prices listed and they don't know what to decide on. Also, Queens Pumpkin Patch should offer some sort of deal or discount for Monday - Thursday as an incentive to get people to NOT flock to the pumpkin patch only on the weekends. This gets more people to actually go all week long and spend money there and helps break up the weekend traffic so people actually enjoy being there. I hope Queens Pumpkin Patch actually cares about the success of their business and about their customers enough to take these reviews seriously...I mean you only have a 3 star rating for a place that you really should deserve 5 stars at for just a local pumpkin patch. And if you break down the ratings, most of the ones from the recent years are only giving you one or two star reviews. Most of your successful reviews come from a long time ago when your prices were more reasonable. Understandably, prices go up over time, but you need to know how to market the prices to make them inviting enough for a customer to pay. Look at it this way: You're not a medical insurance company. Premiums go up and up over time, and people have to pay, there's not much of a choice. But people NEED medical insurance, people do not NEED a horse ride and cotton candy...so if you continue to make the cost far too outrageous over time, people are just gonna skip you over.
