I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt like I should share my experience. I did see some of the…read morenegative comments online before moving forward, and I'd be lying if I said they didn't make me hesitate. I also asked a ton of questions and probably drove Mike a little crazy in the process, but he was patient and answered everything. In the end, I decided to trust my own judgment, and I'm glad I did. Not every puppy is going to be perfect, no matter the breeder. What really matters is the puppy you take home and how that puppy is raised afterward. The puppy I got, Shadow, has been absolutely amazing. She's extremely smart, learns very fast, and has a strong work drive. From early on, it was clear she was confident and well put together. I also made sure to have her fully checked by a vet. She passed everything with flying colors -- heart, hips, eyes, and overall health. I even had X-rays done and everything came back great. I think it's also important to understand that some health issues people talk about, like hip problems, don't come down to breeding alone. How a puppy is raised while growing matters a lot -- things like excessive stairs at a young age, slippery hardwood floors, or improper activity can affect even the best-bred dogs. Good genetics still need proper care and handling. At the end of the day, I can only speak for the puppy I got, and she's been outstanding. I can honestly vouch for Shadow and say she's healthy, well bred, and exactly what I was told I'd be getting. I wouldn't be saying this if it wasn't my real experience.

WARNING: Avoid Jasper Ranch Rottweilers - My Experience + Others'…read more I contacted Jasper Ranch Rottweilers asking about a male puppy. The breeder said they had "pure German" puppies ready in two weeks, quoted $2,000, and immediately asked for a $500 deposit before I could see the puppy or the parents. When I explained that I wanted to see both parents and the puppy in person and mentioned my concern about negative Yelp reviews. The breeder dismissed Yelp, told me to "look at the Google reviews," and said, "If you are concerned then find someone else! We good." The irony is that Google has many of the same concerning reviews as Yelp. This interaction matched the red flags others have reported: Pressure for a deposit before meeting the dogs Refusal to show parents or environment beforehand Dismissive and unprofessional when questioned From multiple independent buyer reports: Missing AKC paperwork - People have paid thousands for "AKC registered" puppies but never received documentation despite repeated promises. Sick puppies - Cases of pneumonia, giardia, kennel cough, chronic digestive issues, and hip dysplasia diagnosed before a year old, with no real breeder support. Poor conditions - Puppies allegedly kept in small cages, smelling of feces, and buyers refused access to living areas. Aggressive and unprofessional communication - Rude tone, last-minute changes to pickup, no refunds on deposits. Refusal to take responsibility - Only offering to "replace" sick puppies instead of helping with vet costs, and delaying partial refunds for over a year. Bottom line: My personal interaction lines up with the warning signs in many other reviews -- on both Yelp and Google. This breeder pressures for money upfront, avoids transparency, and becomes defensive when asked reasonable questions. For your sake and your future dog's health, find a reputable Rottweiler breeder who is transparent, ethical, and stands behind their dogs. -------------------------------------- UPDATE 10:24 PM: Since posting my original review, the breeder replied publicly, saying they "believe in positive energy" and refused to sell me a puppy because I raised concerns about negative reviews. They claimed their dogs are "imported from Germany" and "health tested" but did not provide proof when asked. After blocking their number, I have continued receiving calls from multiple other numbers, which I have documented with screenshots. For transparency: I have since found a reputable breeder. I have a date scheduled to meet both parents, contracts are signed, AKC paperwork will be provided at pickup, and both parents are OFA-certified for hips and elbows. This experience has been far more reassuring. To the breeder: Please do not contact me again. Continued calls after being blocked will be documented and may be shared publicly alongside the details of the breeder I ultimately chose. For anyone researching: Always ensure you can meet the parents, see health certifications, and have contracts and paperwork in hand before leaving a deposit.
