It is quite spacious and has a lot of seating to come dine in but does also do take out options. The staff is quite slow here to come take your food and even for your food to come out, so be prepared for that! It took quite some time for one of my friend's dishes to come out while the rest of us had even finished eating. But the staff are very nice and we were seated quite quickly, on the plus side. When it came to the food, everything was pretty good!! We got quite a few appetizers including: Gopi 65 (which was delicious), Chili Idli (would come back just for this) and the Bhaaji. And for our entrees we got the Garlic Parotta with Kurma (would pass on this), Paneer Biryani (was okay), Paneer Masala Dosa (was good) the Mushroom Uthapam (was good) and the Chili Parotta (would pass on this). Overall the food was good, definitely had some dishes I would come back for. If you're looking for some South Indian food in Scarborough I would recommend! 7/10 Recommend!

I won't lie, I was overwhelmed at first on what to pick, so I highly recommend going with a group so you can try a bit of everything. The portion sizes are great, we had so much leftover! The variety is so nice. Taste wise, every dish had my heart. It was all packed with flavour and tasted authentic. The stars for me were the Paneer Chettinad and Parotta with Kurma. Atmosphere -5/5 The interior of this place is insane! It feels like walking into an emperor's house! All the walls have paintings of hindu gods, and the restaurant is decorated so well. It's pretty big so perfect for smaller or larger groups. I'd try to get a reservation on busier nights. Service - 5/5 The staff is super helpful ! We asked a lot of question on what to order and they were so helpful. They would check in on us to, when it's super busy it happened less frequently but totally understandable. Will I go again? Of Course! I think it's going to be my go to Indian veggie place! Lash's Recommendations -Paneer Chettinad -Paper Masala Dosa -Parottta with Kurma

Wow what a disappointment. Honestly feel robbed after having a dinner here…read more I ordered a bunch of items to try with the family and boy was it underwhelming. The biryani's and chicken tikka were the saviours here but to be served the rest of the items has to be a joke. The small quantity of meat and curry from the dishes was ridiculous. Each dish ranged from $15-20 and paying $20 for a singular piece of meat with no flavour is a complete robbery. Each dish was pretty much finished after we had a small sample of it. Being known as a kebab house you'd think the grilled meats would be flavourful and juicy but the kebabs were dry and lacked in seasoning. The Karahi gosht was a single piece of meat with a thick layer of oil resting on top. The curry itself lacked in flavour and we almost vomitted when trying it. I love trying new restaurants with the family and supporting local businesses but you need to avoid this place at all costs. 1/5

They recently had takeout from Chowrasta Indian Cuisine. They had the mutton biriyani and raved about it. While sitting at their nutrition studio, I did a search. There are three Chowrasta locations in the greater Toronto area. The closest one to me is this one on the northeast corner of Markham Road and McNicoll Avenue. I placed an order for the following items on Uber Eats: - Ghee roast mutton biryani - Onion samosas (5) I thanked my friends at ZeeV's and drove over to Chowrasta. It was rush hour, so I got there five minutes after my estimated pickup time. This eatery is in the same plaza as the Markham Convention Centre. It is two doors down from a walk-in clinic that I had visited a year ago. This eatery used to be Dosa Rama. The menu still offers a number of dosas, but I suppose that it has branched out to offer more dishes. There was lots of parking when I was here tonight at 6 pm. A year ago, I was here on a Saturday and parking was crazy. I parked fairly close to Chowrasta and walked over. This eatery is clean and deep. There were a lot of tables and seat for dining. I was at the counter. A woman came out from the kitchen with the nicest smile. I indicated that I had an Uber Eats order. I showed her the details on my phone. She nodded and grabbed my order on the counter. She wished me a good evening. I reciprocated and happily left carrying my takeout with me. I got home and dug in. My friends were not kidding. The food here is flavourful and excellent. I had the onion samosas. They were the perfect size. The wrapper on each samosa was thin. The caramelized onions filling with a green pea here and there was so good. The spices and flavouring were amazing. I'd get these onion samosas again. The mutton biriyani was delicious. The mutton was flavourful and not gamey. The chunks of mutton were large and generous. They melted in my mouth. I got a bonus cube of potato that probably shouldn't have been there. Even that potato cube was so good. The rice was fluffy and equally flavourful. This place seasons their food so well. There is heat to the biriyani. It came with two sauces. The red sauce was spicy. I used more of the white one with little cubes of cucumber and carrot. It took down the heat a notch. The mutton biriyani was huge. I ate half of it. I have leftovers for another meal. I got an excellent recommendation. The food here is so good. I want to return and try more items. I'll definitely be back. (184)
