On a separate occasion, she was dragged out of bed and thrown into her wheelchair by staff, leaving her in pain and with bruising. This is not the first time we have experienced neglect and rough handling from staff. No resident should ever be treated this way -- it is degrading and a basic failure of care. I have filed formal complaints with the NYS Department of Health and the Long-Term Care Ombudsman. I strongly caution other families to think carefully before placing a loved one here. They also don't call you back, almost all calls go to voicemail. Still waiting for Director of Nursing to call me back.
