I can't wait. The staff were also very helpful, kind & knowledgeable. Specifically I worked with a brunette lady the first few times I visited who taught me about evergreens and ground cover and today I worked with a blonde lady who helped me pick lavender and a peach tree. My garden is looking great and I even got a compliment on it the other day. I really think it's thanks to the quality of the plants they have here, as well as the help I received, because I do not really have much of a green thumb! I will say I did not take the advice of keeping my peppers indoors when I purchased them in a colder month, but they are still budding/ flowering even though the leaves are not in their best shape, but that's my own fault for being impatient.

My first visit to the nursery was fantastic, thanks to a gentleman named Max who educated me about juniper trees. This past Monday, my boys and I returned in the morning to look for edging material and enjoy the flowers. However, we had an unusual encounter with a gentleman who approached us. When I joked about causing a ruckus and suggested he put my boys to work, he responded in a stern tone, saying they didn't need any help. It felt quite strange. When my son heard a horse and asked about it, the gentleman responded in Spanish, a language neither of us speaks. This left me feeling quite taken aback. Initially, I thought it might have been a misunderstanding. However, when I shared my experience with a coworker, she mentioned that Woods Nursery has a tone that can make visitors feel unwelcomed, which aligned with my experience. It's disheartening because Woods Nursery is such a beautiful place, and one unpleasant interaction can impact the overall experience. I believe the gentleman might be unaware of how his approach comes across, and I hope this feedback is helpful in making the nursery a more welcoming place for everyone. I ended up going to Home Depot and buying the same materials needed for a quarter of the price cheaper.

That plus a…read morecouple other random things like seeing animals, drinking hot chocolate and riding behind a tractor! All good stuff! The farm has been here for quite some time but only recently seems to have become a popular stop for tree patrons. They've got literally acres of trees - all types of pines, firs and whatever other types of trees make good Christmas trees! You're given a saw, a mat to kneel on, and like a hobo with his nap sac, you head out with a pocket full of dreams! Upon finding "The Tree", you saw it down, drag it to one of the trail roads and some nice dudes come grab it; and haul it back to the front of the farm. There they wrap it and help load it on your car or truck. The service is great and done with a smile! Trees are sold based on height and run $10 a foot, with a 5 foot minimum. You're not finding a $29.99 tree here, but they're not bad price wise. Pro tip - look at the width of the tree to determine the thickness of the trunk - we got ours home and had to cut a foot off of it to get it to fit our tree stand. Good lessons! Bring ties to secure the tree as all they have are small pieces of twine and if you're going back to Yakima, you're gonna have to gonna freeway! Memories made, tree procured, Christmas Joy unlocked - and to all a good night!

It's one of the few places currently aware you were able to buy Christmas trees, and since my Best half loves the smell of pine trees during Christmas, it was nice that we were able to find this place. The tree selection was well organized and very adequate. Things were arranged based on height of the tree with 1 foot increments increasing the cost by roughly $10. They had trees ranging from 5 to 10 feet, with a number of different styles available. I'm not smart enough to be able to tell The difference between different types of Pinetree's, but the dude working here was definitely able to... That or he was lying to me very convincingly. Inside are plenty of garden related accompaniments and signage for inside and outside your house. The next time I need a specific house plant, assign declaring that this is a secret garden, or some bulbs for perennials (is that right?) I definitely know where to go!
