Have not been here in a couple of years, so I checked the reviews, and it still looked pretty good! We went for dinner, and it must be under new management as oh boy has it changed. At first sight, it looked pretty bad from the street; inside was nicer for sure. It was a warm summer evening, so we asked to sit outside. Tables are metal, and the chairs are simple plastic and decor sparse. I ordered a Cadillac Margarita as this is my go-to at a Mexican restaurant. Advertised as "2oz," I did ask about how it was made as some bartenders really have no clue, but I was assured this was the real deal! It came out in a PLASTIC 7-10 oz cup full of ice for $15.75! The waiter apologized about the cup, so I was thinking there might be some consideration in price. It had little to no alcohol in it at all and maybe 4 oz of total liquid. Yes, I could/should have sent it back. Later, I ordered a Regular Margarita, and it was the same. Normally, one Cadillac will do it for me, and after two, I was sure there was no alcohol. Chips and salsa came, and another disappointment. A big part of the Mexican experience, and it came in a very small, thin wicker basket with just a touch of salsa. About that time, the waiter showed up with the bill. Full charge for the Cadillac, and with all the ants, I requested the manager. Our server said they did not even have a manager working, and as mentioned, it was a Friday night! We will not be back, and I hope this might save someone else the same experience. The prices, not unlike a lot of places, have skyrocketed, but their product has diminished. As noted the food and presentation are nice but the corners they are cutting are not acceptable. Lots of great spots that would love your business.

So picking up the staff was friendly and I really really liked that they used proper taco takeout boxes. As frequent taco purchaser I cannot tell you how much proper packaging makes a difference when it comes to take out tacos. No big gooey mess and each taco is as perfect as it was meant to be. As a person who understands not everything has to be over the top complicated I enjoyed the simplicity and authenticity of these. Just meat, spices, red onion and lime. So delicious. They may not look like much but that would be an incorrect assumption. LMC is a small restaurant where many Steveston locals have had celebrations & parties at over the years. My Strawberry Margarita was just ok - I didn't enjoy it. The steak Tacos were so-so = they lacked in flavour & pizzazz. I even forget to take pics of my Tacos. There's so many Mexican restaurants in Metro Vancouver that are way more authentic, in my view. On my last visit, I had the chicken bowl, topped with corn, salsa and cilantro. I decided to keep it simple. The lime, hot sauce, burrito sauce and sour cream made it flavorful. Without the sauces and lime, the rice was quite bland. Maybe they should have cilantro lime rice as an option. This time the chicken was tender and full of flavor. I think it was quite blah previously. Note: With covid, the many types of hot sauces were no longer available. Since I had it to go, I could add my own hot sauces at home.
