The bed and pillows were very comfy. Cleaning service visited daily. Our room was clean and had ample space for our luggage. The shower was super hot. We loved the staff. I'm not sure I have the name right, but it might be Yoso, he was the main desk person - he was amazing. So welcoming. He gave great tips on local places. When we forgot our key, he quickly got us access to our room. Fantastic service. We ate breakfast each day in the Fish restaurant. Excellent food and service. Great stay.

Although the room 834 provided only a partial harbor view, we preferred this side over the harbor view to avoid facing the cruise ship directly. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. We arrived before 3 pm and the front desk staff kindly accommodated our request for an early check-in. Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable, though slightly compact. A friend traveling with us got #830, which was marginally larger than ours. It's interesting as I'm a Hilton gold member while my friend isn't but ended up getting a complimentary upgrade. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom featuring both a rainfall shower and a spacious bathtub. We had breakfast at FISH restaurant on Level 1. The dining area offered beautiful harbor views, and the buffet selection was impressive especially fresh fruit (including golden kiwis), smoked salmon, pastrami, and an excellent variety of bread and pastries. Overall, our stay was relaxing and enjoyable, aside from some rooftop noise around 5 am on the first night. When we reserved the room, the Hilton website said the pool would be closed for maintenance until 31 Oct. However it was still closed when we arrived first week of Nov. The pool almost like an infinity one, is one of the reasons I chose this hotel. It's unfortunate that we didn't get to enjoy it.

I hailed a cab which wisked me and my luggage to this lovely location with the nicest front desk staff who worked diligently to get me to a room as quickly as possible. Let me add here I was at the hotel at 9:30 AM and the room availability was 3:00 PM. Yes, I actually planned to check in and leave my luggage to tour the city....best made plans, I didn't plan on getting ill. It did take a couple of hours but I ate a great breakfast, drank several cups of coffee, a liter of sparkling water and tried my best to remain in an upright position in the lounge. The concierge tracked me down and escorted me to my lovely room before noon. I was pleasantly surprised by the furnishings and quality of the hotel, don't get me wrong I don't do cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but I assumed the first available room wouldn't be the one I reserved. Great king bed, soft pillows, huge TV that I never used, desk, bar, refrigerator, hot water pot....bathroom with a huge soaker tub, separate shower, double sink...I was impressed. Then I started reading the room service menu....oh yeah I was thinking I could camp here and never leave. Since everything converted to NZD from USD the prices were cheap by Hawaii standards. The restaurants and room service were top shelf. The staff from concierge to bellman were fantastic. The check-in staff were awesome. This hotel is five star all the way.

Decided to stay at Grand Millennium because of the price and location. Everything was very easy to walk to and convenient. The staff here was very friendly. I loved how comfortable the bed was. My all-time favorite thing about this hotel was the bathroom. Because it was so cold outside, it felt amazing to come back and soak in a nice hot bath. I did have an issue at the end when checking out. The billing they provided me was incorrect. But after contacting the hotel the bill was corrected.

The gym is quite small and had one broken treadmill that didn't have a sign so I'm not sure if staff are aware of it. Our rooms didn't include breakfast, but we were excited to try it. We ended up disappointed because the hostess gave us two menus and told us to sit anywhere. There's prices for a la carte and buffet and we opted for the buffet and just went up to get food. A staff member stopped us and asked if we were doing the buffet and then told us she'd bring us the bill so we could sign our room. It felt like maybe a staff member should have brought us to our seat and asked us what we wanted to prevent being stopped at the food counter and having guest and staff play a guessing game. The breakfast selection is mediocre. Another table was sat and the staff member who stopped us was quick to go to their table and explain the menu choices to them so I'm not sure if it's a lack of consistency or if they need more staff during the breakfast shift because it seemed like it was just her and the hostess working. Staff was also slow to clear tables.

Location and views alone are 5-stars. Booked my trip back in December. To gain more airline points,…read moreI booked the hotel through the airline portal. After reviewing the map of the Auckland central business district (CBD) and where the Sky Tower was, I knew I wanted to stay by the harbor, with a view and reasonably priced. That's when I came across M Social Viaduct Harbor. From Google Maps and looking at YouTube videos, the hotel was in the midst of it all. My first encounter with them was a few weeks earlier when I learned that M Socials last check-in time was midnight. Unfortunately, because my flight was schedule to land at 9:45 pm, having to get through customs and waiting for Uber, we'd be cutting it close. So I emailed M Social and they assured me that we could check-in after midnight, no rush since they knew how long customs could take. What a relief. When we got there, a little after 11 pm, I was told our room was upgraded to the 12th floor which is the highest floor. I was told "The harbor view is great up there." And it is!!! All the rooms face the harbor and all rooms have a view!!! The higher you are the better the view. And when we got to our room, we had a signed card from the employees along with Easter candy because I didn't realize it was Easter weekend when I booked our flights. The room was clean with modern and youthful aesthetic. And the price? I can't believe it is one of the least expensive hotels along the harbor. It was between $129 - $189/night. Of course, Weekends are higher price. And, laundry is free. We just had to pay for laundry detergent. No dryer sheets in Auckland, though. People in NZ said I had an American accent. But they're the ones with accents... lol. Auckland is also a melting pot. The front staff were mainly Filipino, Vietnamese, and Chinese. So they had their native accent along with the English accent. But everyone was so kind to us. And they have a restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night socializing. Although we only had apps and drinks, the food was really good and non-alcoholic drinks were refreshing. As much as I want to gatekeep M Social, I also want to praise the staff members and hope everyone can enjoy your time staying at this wonderful establishment.

The room was on the corner of the third floor, and we had a nice view of the bay and lots of light, and enjoyed the small balcony (too small to put a chair on, unfortunately), whose door we left open for a breeze (very nice after being in many hotels without any windows that open). When we did use the A/C, it worked a lot better than we expected based on other reviews, and did seem to have a working thermostat. The room was clean and well-furnished, and we appreciated the drink-making amenities, including little containers of milk for tea and coffee, which the desk staff was happy to replenish for us (be persistent, though, as once they said they'd send someone up to our room with milk, but nobody came and we had to ask again). We were very happy with how quiet the hotel was, as central Auckland can be noisy. Luckily this part of Anzac Ave. doesn't get a huge amount of foot traffic, and though there is a fair amount of vehicle traffic to the east of the hotel, the building seems to be pretty noise-proof with the balcony door closed. We didn't have a car, so can't speak to parking issues, and we didn't eat any food at the hotel. Internet scarcity is as expected from most low to mid-range NZ hotels, with minimal free wi-fi. There are two computers in the lobby with paid internet access that we used a couple of times without problems. The location is convenient to the university, Queen St. area, Vector Arena, and many bus lines. Be aware that to get back to the hotel from Vector Arena or Queen St. by means other than a vehicle, there is a trip up a moderately steep hill involved.

My room 711 was quiet and clean with big cheerful windows and view of the City. But the door to room was the heaviest and hardest to open door I ever experienced in my life. I had two breakfasts here. My comments are the bacon isn't cooked enough leaving lots of fat on it and it is not crispy, served wimpy in liquid of water or fat with the lid steaming the bacon. The congee was extremely boring. No minced Chinese preserved mustard greens and pork sung that the Chinese eat congee with. What looks like soy sauce didn't add flavor or salt to the congee. Some people thought the scrambled eggs were too runny, but I like it like custard This was so runny you have to drain the liquid out of the spoon before putting in your plate. The breakfast selection was not large, but gets the job done. The Wi-Fi was so slow. But on the day I checked out and had to wait in the lobby till 2 pm to board the ship, I told the front desk how slow THE CUT wifi was, that my email would not send. She put my phone on a different wifi and the email sent right away and wifi was no longer a problem.
