This was the calmest, cleanest, and most efficient lab I've ever experienced. Directions to the location in the building were great, the check-in process was easy, and once I arrived it took only a few minutes to be called back. The phlebotomist was AMAZING. I have small veins, so I'm used to people fishing or not believing that a butterfly needle is the best approach. She took her time to find the vein, grabbed the butterfly needle without me sharing and on shot number 1, got it. She was humble about it, but I was so grateful to not be a pin cushion. At my last couple of visits to Quest, techs were incompetent & I was treated very poorly. First your phlebotomist hands were shaking, which couldnt find a vein, someone else had to finish. It happened again with my most recent visit. Also when I was in the empty waiting area for my Access ride, which was late, your Wexford office manager said I waited long enough in the empty waiting room & demanded that I leave. I will be contacting a lawyer as Quest may have violated ADA laws as I cant stand long outside, with rain threatening, as I have back problems and need to sit. In addition, one of my sample vials became corrupted. Then today I called Quest where they said a fax order was received on 3/27, but that the office only considers orders which are sent electronically. This is true, as I asked in person several times if they received this order &they said they havent. I find the Wexford Quest to be incompetent, on the above 3 problems, and cruel for wanting me to stand outside. read more

I had an easy experience at this location. I came in for a drug screening test and was in and out in under 15 minutes. The Quest suite is located on the second floor (turn right after exiting the elevators). Self check-in allows you to get checked in and scan your license right away. Even though I showed up 30 minutes before my appointment (they accept appts or walk-ins), my name was called in under 5 minutes. Some of the instructions for the procedures could have been more clear, but that was only a minor setback. read more

I took my daughter to the quest lab on Philadelphia Road in Nottingham for some bloodwork. After we signed in which is through a computer and not an actual person, we heard her name being yelled through the office so we got up and couldn't figure out where the yelling was coming from. We then saw an employee and he did offer to help us and when I said that we heard our name being called but didn't know where it was coming from he led us to the right room. In there was a technician sitting at a computer with her shoes kicked off like she was at home relaxing and she took the order from the doctor that we gave her. It was very clear that she did not know what she was doing as she was not sure what any of the codes that the doctor gave her meant so she again began yelling through the office to try to get someone to come help her. The same man that helped us came in to help her and after about 15 or 20 minutes they finally got all of the codes into the computer. I feel like all of this information should've been entered before we were ever called back because this is now making my daughter uneasy having to sit in there and listen to the inexperience of the technician. At this point she finally asks for my insurance card puts everything into the computer and then tells me that my daughter is not covered under my insurance. When I assure her that that is not true I pull up the CareFirst website logged in and showed her that my daughter is in fact covered under my insurance. She proceeds to tell me that this happens with many patients and that I would have to give them a credit card so that when they bill the insurance if it is denied they can charge my card. I offered to call the insurance company to get clarification for her and she said it wouldn't do any good. At this point another technician comes in and begins to draw my daughters blood. thank God he actually did a very good job but when we were finished he took the tubes of blood and left and we sat there for a few minutes before anyone informed us if we were finished or not they never asked my daughter if she was feeling OK if she need water or anything. Everything about this experience was very unprofessional. From the technician yelling through the office, to her having her shoes off, to her not knowing the right codes to enter into the computer, to the whole insurance situation. Also if many patients are getting this notification that there dependence are not covered then there's clearly something wrong with quest computer system and that needs to be taken care of. Seems to me that I come into this office for more drug screens than the average person.. but hey, at least I pass with flying colors! It's always best to schedule yourself an appointment for a drug screen, however getting one at this facility is a pretty daunting task. However, I can assure you that once you're ther, they'll have you in and out within a 10 minute period. Reminder to bring a valid picture ID with you because they cant do the test without it. Overall, the staff is super friendly and unlike most offices there is no dillydally, so they'll have you out of there in "Wham-Bam-Thank-You-Ma'am" fashion. read more
