How convenient![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Donya, the phlebotomist, confirmed my identity and insurance professionally. However, I never had a phlebotomist caused my arm to be in such pain. I do not know if it was Donya's technique or the fact that she used my right arm. I usually let phlebotomists use my left, which has a more prominent vein. Donya told me to apply ice for about 15 minutes if it continued when I got home. It did not, but my arm was stiff and bruised (see photo below). 80% of them in this establishment are so lazy they want to do minimum work . they give you a really hard time about your blood orders. They refused to add more doctors in the system to send out blood orders. I mean, this is your job if you don't like your job, you should really quit. One of the worst experiences. Once inside you find that there are plenty of technicians with lots of time on their hands. Only a handful of technicians actually work. Most likely the reason for the wait. don't have any issue with the staff; the wait time is ridiculous though. even with an appointment. i arrived 10min early & sat in the waiting room 38min past the wait time to complete a drop off that took 1min the person prior to me waited roughly the same amount of time, just to be told they couldn't even help him please actually hear your reviews & implement a better check-in system. read more

I made an appointment online for a couple of blood tests that my doctor wanted me to have done. First of all, it is basically impossible to talk to anybody from customer service on the phone if you have questions and if you try to message them, it takes them about 3 weeks to reply. It was my first time at any Quest location so I did not even know what to expect. When I came in for my appointment, I was a bit confused because it was just a room with no front desk. It was an empty room with a bunch of chairs, a tv screen, and two tablets to sign in with. So don't even bother if you have initial questions because there is literally nobody there to answer them. The only cool thing is that on the tv screen, you can see how long it will take before they call you into the back. The timing is a bit inaccurate but you get the idea. The lab tech lady that drew my blood was nice. I mean, if I had to come here again, I would. But if I didn't have to, that would be great. read more

This location is probably the best out of all the Quest Diagnostic Labs I have been to. Directly across the street from New Island Hospital, there is a very big parking lot as it's part of a Medical Complex. Very large, bright and CLEAN waiting area with a TV to help pass the time. I'm impressed with their Online Scheduling System which is very simple and easy to follow. I also like the Email reminders that are sent to you before your appointment. This also helps to make things run more smoothly. I was even more impressed that they actually honored your appointment. There was a room full of people when we got there and my Daughter's name was called within 10 minutes of her scheduled time. This wasn't a fluke since I had an appointment there last week as well and no wait time for me. Pleasant and very knowledgeable staff working there. They must have a phlebotomist that specializes in children because when I walked into the room with my younger Daughter, the original lady walked out after a few minutes and another one walked in. I didn't bother to ask why as it was pretty obvious since this occurred as my Daughter started to get upset (to put it mildly). Really great with children I have to add. They turned a very unpleasant experience into a "tolerable one". Big plus - there is a Diner right next door to the Lab as this very convenient and important to those who may have had to fast all morning!! read more

I made an appointment online but never got confirmation and if you try to call you cannot speak to a live person. So when I showed up there was no record of my appointment. The people in the waiting room were all averaging 2 + hour waits. The time listed for your wait on their tv is totally inaccurate, more like dog years! I've gone to other labs and at most waited 30 min. The staff is nice and once I was finally taken it was quick. But never again. I will go to lab Corp. read more

Had 9:40am Saturday morning appointment, easy check in from the phone. Once walked in, waited less than 2 minutes we got in room 3. Super quick for a blood test, we were out the facility in 5 minutes. Best Quest experience so far. The key is to make appointment ahead of time, and respond to the text message. read more

I wish I could give this office of idiots zero stars. They're only half of the problem. The first issue with this Quest Diagnostics is their iPad sign-in system. For a branch which deals with many seniors citizens, not having a representative at the front isn't just bad business, it's irresponsible. They have a sign in system that works based off of appointments. So there can be twenty people in the waiting room and if you have an appointment you go right to the head of the list and any walk in gets bumped down the list. So logistically if you have a walk in and a very tight appointment schedule then they can be sitting there all day before they're seen. Then you have the employees that couldn't care less. Most of the women there that were taking blood couldn't be bothered with doing their job and stand in an office near the waiting room. You can hear them laughing and talking instead of doing their job. If your insurance is forcing you to go here I'd seriously consider paying out of pocket to go somewhere else. You'll sit in a poorly painted room with a bunch of pissed off people while waiting forever to be seen. read more

This place is fairly convenient as long as you don't plan your visit, but go in as a walk-in. For people that make appointments, they get bumped all the way to the end of the list while walk-ins get served first and quickly. It seems unfair for those who made an appointment, they should be able to go at the time they were promised. I saw a few people making a scene about how unfair that was, and I understand it. This place is over crowded. The lab technicians are flooded with customers / appointments that they cannot handle. It is not fair to them and not fair to the customer who has an appointment. Why make an appointment? By the time the customer is seen, no one is happy - not the over worked technician and not the customer. read more

After a horrible experience at the Quest lab in Summit View, Puyallup for which I left an overly generous 2-star rating, I made another appointment in order to comply with my doctor's request for blood labs. But this time I made the appt at the Sunrise Clinic. Wow! What a huge difference. Clean, nearly empty at my appt time (8:45 am). Check in was smooth and efficient. The phlebotomist, Yan, and the staff member who checked me in were fantastic. I asked her after she was done when she was going to "poke" me with the needle. We laughed. This Quest lab put the Summit View lab to shame. read more

The way this business is run is RIDICULOUS. You walk into not a single human being, a blank wall with an ipad on a stand. Guess I will sign in here? And I am now FURIOUS because I was here on FEBRUARY 27 - and my charge for my copay was JUST processed and charged to me on APRIL 2! What the ... takes over a month for a card to get charged? I am now worried about them possibly having kept my card information in their files. Horrible staff! Made me late to work on Monday because the woman Melissa L. was so slow with paperwork after already taking me 30 mins past my appointment. I told her I did not have time to do the urine test that day because it was so late already. She seemed annoyed and sure let me know it when taking my blood out as I have never experienced such pain at a blood drawing. I started sweating and my arm was in a lot of pain. Today I had to come back of course to drop off the urine sample and simply asked how long it would take for me to give them my urine sample even though I made an appointment and it was already passed that. I asked how long the wait to give my sample in would take and I was met by a very rude woman who raised her voice with an attitude and told me I would have to wait until all blood tests were done with all patients first, including walk in's and then I would be taken at the end. I was confused as all they had to do was take my bag and script and go on their way. how does it make sense that I made an appointment not for urine sample drop off but for a drawing appointment as I was advised to do on Monday and I still have to wait last for someone to simply take my sample. She became more and more agitated and started yelling at me screaming that she just got back from lunch. It was as if she was arguing with a stranger on the street and so uncalled for. I raised my voice back and I asked for a supervisor and Melissa L. came back and dismissed me and would not give me a supervisor name and told me to just sit down and wait. All this After 15 mins of already sitting and waiting they wanted me to wait until all patients with appointments and walk ins after me get seen and then would take me? I have a job I was already late to on Monday because of these unprofessional and extremely slow working people . I have never had issues at the plainview location and all those workers are kind, professional, helpful and extremely level headed. Please let this Review be a lesson in making sure your blood test is correct and not a mistake. Every year I get a physical I get a blood test to! I was told I had low hemoglobin's and was told to see a specialist! In fear for my life I went and was retested by the specialist, Guess what I was told I was fine and the first blood test was wrong! I was there today, January 23rd, 2019 around 9 am, and I have to tell y'all it was wonderful. Sign in on a tablet was easy, and they took me in within a few minutes. Now, I don't know anyone who actually enjoys getting bloodwork done but, I usually end up hyperventilating. However, the phlebotomist I was with made everything as painless and relaxed as possible. She was so sweet and talked me through it. Wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else. HIGHLY recommend. read more

Went to quest for blood work ,when you sign in the scan does not work . When you use other method it gives you a wait time and they claim to call you if you are outside which did not happen I go back check in now they say I'm on a waiting list . Then finally get in and they say where is my prescription which I thought they had when I made appointment.they send you many txt about appointment time but never mention for you to bring paper work . I have a really weak stomach, so I absolutely dread getting bloodwork. I told Khalida that I was nervous prior to my blood draw in January, and she did an amazing job keeping me calm and distracted! I was lucky enough to have her for a draw again yesterday, and I had another great experience. Was a nice quick visit to get a drug test done. Upon entering you can appreciate the attention to customer efficiency. You check in via an iPad and you're called in. Don't try to get a drug test within the last hour - even though they close at like 3:30, I heard it's hard to come in like right before they're about to close and be seen and get tested. read more

My experience was quick and easy for a pre-employment drug test. One of the staff members kindly greeted me and walked me over to an iPad to check in. She typed in all my information and shortly after I sat down in the waiting room for about 10min (walked in on a Thursday). Rooms were clean and nice. I was in and out in less than 20 min. ** Very long wait & ignored by rarely seen staff ** The lab is located inside a "Chase" bank building so its easy to miss at first. I entered the waiting room and wrote my name on the waiting list. There were others waiting but no front desk person. After about a 15 minute wait a worker sat at the desk for about a minute and left again. Some of the people were complaining that they have been waiting too long and except for the occasional lab person who stepped out to read a name from the list (while making no eye contact with anyone at all) there were no visible employees. When someone asked one of these lab persons how much longer is the wait the lab person just said she did not know. I don't know if this lab is understaffed or just extremely slow and inefficient or both. Without front desk administrative staff to speak to you or to acknowledge your presence one ends up just waiting & wondering if any lab tech even knows you are there. After over an hour of waiting (and the AC is pumped so high you are waiting AND uncomfortably cold) and with no one around to give you an estimate as to when or if you will be seen I just gave up and walked out. read more

Called and was hung up on 17 times, as a Healthcare Provider this is totally unacceptable!!! Quest makes it nearly impossible for our more mature patients to make appointments if they do not have internet access. I highly recommend patients ask their healthcare providers to recommend them going to a Northwell Health facility. I am not an employee of Northwell Health either. Quest also requests that any orders are faxed to them...even with a confirmation they state they were never received. read more

This place is a joke. I have been here at least 4 times over the past few years getting routine blood work and nothing has ever gone smoothly. My last visit was the icing on the cake. I made an appointment on line and arrived 10 minutes before my appointment. I waited patiently for my name to be called. My name was called (they only call you by your first name) within a minute or two of my appointment but someone with the same first name jumped up. I suspected it was for me but when the person didn't come out right away, I assumed they got the right person. About 15 minutes later they called my name again and when I stepped into the blood drawing room I asked them which person they wanted. When I told them my last name, they told me they already drew my blood. Um, no! You screwed up royally and did the wrong patient. Total fck up!! They are so clueless in this place. read more
