I was pretty skeptical about going here after the reviews I read here. But decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and I'm glad I did. 8:00 this morning I made a 9:00 appt. I arrived on time and used self check in( automated so there is none of the "others taken before me" that's been written about. ). A few minutes later Reina called me into the office. These employees here are the biggest lowlifes I ever encountered. I brought my 1 year old there for bloodwork with an appointment. They ignored me for 45 mins , said I had to wait cause I was a few mins late And then continued to take people and act like I didn't exist with a young infant in a waiting room during covid. I have been coming to this location for years. I really miss the Asian gentlemen and the same employers who were there for years. Now every time I go the staff is always different. I just went last week and one staff member was so nasty that I had to call the superviser and complain which is something I rarely do unless they really pinch my nerve. Ugh, just remembering her attitude gives me bad energy. The moment she called my name and i walked in her frown and the way she spoke with me was horrible. But the superviser (jackie) was soo nice over the phone and really calmed me down and hopefully she talked to that lady because she was horrible. Also the bathrooms are filthy here.. read more

Update The rude lady told me that my insurance didn't cover bloodwork But I have the best Aetna level I have never paid a co-pay since I've had Aetna the woman I had asked me for my credit card number and I asked her for what and she said just think case they do not cover it and I said then just have them send me a bill and she said that they don't do that She asked me to swipe her iPhone card reader and sign About six weeks later she charged my American Express card $100 but it didn't say quest diagnostics. What a joke. You walk in. No one there to greet you. I had to DROP OFF...yes, drop off, with all the paperwork attached. I was rudely told after someone opened the door on the side of the room to sign in. Using an electronic device. Keep in mind I am just dropping something off. Worst service ever. I made an online appointment and when I got to the location they had no record of the appointment even though I had a confirmation email. To my surprise they had a full waiting room, with several people on the same situation, waiting for hours. Additionally there was only one technician!!! Very rude by the way and very unprofessional. After one an hour waiting a female technician arrived with lots of shopping bags and started to call people very slowly. In total, despite having a confirmed appointment I had to wait for around 2 hours to give a sample!! You have to be kidding me! It is the worst lab I have ever encounter and I will never ever use their services again!! Is not even worth a one star review! read more

I think Arisa speaks too highly of Quest. It's even worse than two stars. If I could rate it no stars, I would. They have no idea how to run their office, something that I told them today on my way out the door. You will show up for your appointment on time, sign in like a good like droogie, and then they will take 40 minutes with one patient at the front desk for no discernible reason, keeping everyone waiting while they stall into inaction. There is no sense behind what happens. Someone comes in raving and drooling and they coddle them instead of sending them on their merry way while the rest of the us are ignored. Other people arrive late and are immediately seen. Total incompetence. No supervision. I waited patiently until I lost it and had to leave. I could hear them apologizing as the door slammed behind me. Even in this economy some of us have to work and nobody that incompetent is shoving a needle in me. For all the crazies spouting nonsense about Obamacare and socialism, Quest Diagonstics in Clifton is probably as close to the bureaucracy in the good old Soviet system that one will face in everyday life, unless of course, one has dealings with the US government itself. Then all bets are off. Still, I think there are two opportunities here. First, Quest's stock (DGX) is an opportunity for anyone who is into shorting stocks. I really had no complaints about this place. My experience was as pleasant as it could be for getting blood work done. It's just your basic waiting room. I didn't have an appointment and waited about 20 mins while the other techs helped the patients. Reina was the tech that helped me and she was wonderful! She kept me calm and explained everything that was happening. She was professional to me and I know that I'd go back to this facility for any testing. read more

I made an appointment online for 9am. I was emailed a registration code to check in on the kiosk once I arrived. I got to the office at 9:02am and punched in my code. Within the next few minutes my name was called. The tech was very nice and professional. She got my vein on the 1st try and took 8 tubes of blood. By 9:16am I was out. Had appointment but got there ahead of time and was seen early. Staff was friendly yet professional and worked to put me at ease and get me in and out quickly. 1st time here and how amazing this place is. Netta is godsent!! I came for alot of testing..she took my blood so soft and gently. Usually phlebotomists cannot find my vein or cause bruising by wiggling the needle.She got my vein perfectly!! Her kind and compassionate energy is also very calming. The woman here who took me had zero courtesy and was not helpful at all. Asked me questions that didn't have any relevance to the blood tests I had made an appointment for. And never ever forget your medical insurance card even if you come here every 6 weeks for a blood test. She maybe a good human but definitely client or patient care is not her thing! read more

Rude Rude Rude!!!!!!!!. No one wants to help you . My daughter needed her first urine test and could not get the urge to go. So the lady had her wait. The minute she got the Urge I looked for the girl who wasn't anywhere to be found and the place was empty. Ask another lab tech for her she said you have to wait meanwhile she wasn't doing anything but holding a wall up. When I finally saw the women to tell her my daughter is ready she tells me I HAVE TO WAIT in a very nasty tone. I had to come here for a drug test for seasonal employment at Kohls. I had to go there twice because no one informed me that they only do drug testing at a certain time. At the time, I was taking prescription and over the counter drugs for a sinus infection. By the second time I went there, the lady told me to talk to the people over the phone about my medicine for my sinus infection rudely. The people who had appointments at this location were upset that they were waiting 40 minutes to be seen. I called up customer service to tell them that they were rude in the office. They need training in customer service. Kohls paid for me to come here, but I wouldn't pay to get any testing done here. read more

I almost fainted in there and felt very bad after the drawing. They are still using the old larger kits where they have to jerk your arm everytime they change the vile. I walked out of there with a very sore arm. A few hours later my arm was bright purple and deep red and terribly bruised. It became so bad that the blood even bruised the under side of my arm and a spot around 7 inches long. My dad said it was because they took out the needle before taking off the turnacet. You think they would know how to draw blood correctly since that is basically all they are doing all day. I would upload a photo here but it is not letting me. read more

This had to be the best blood test I've ever had!!!!! Normally use the quest in Montclair because of its proximity to my house. But made a appointment here because the times I needed where available.... 11:10 Thursday afternoon.... 3 customers inside...sign in for my 11:15 appointment and I'm taken in about 7 minutes...... Yanique was the name of the one taking my blood..and she was the best, and very nice!!!!! I really don't care for needles, and I can truly say I never felt the needle go in.. (yeah, I look away when they insert it..lol), never felt her switch the vials (5), and never felt the needle come out, even though I was looking now.. her technique is fantastic!!!! Next time I'm required to have blood work done, im definitely coming back here. read more

I went to the Clifton location Saturday morning at 8:30.Although I did not have an appointment, I waited only 15 - 20 minutes before I was called. The tech that took my blood was polite and professional. In the past I have had techs struggle with locating my veins and inserting the needle. The technician was able to draw my blood with no problem, The facility itself was clean and well kept. I would recommend this Quest Diagnostic Center and will return in the future. read more

I wish I could rate this place with 0 stars. I went for my initial pregnancy blood test and let the receptionist know what I was there for. After an hour and 45 minutes of waiting and watching customers come in after me, have their lab completed and leave, I asked what was going on. The receptionist was just beyond any limit of rude and told me that they would try to get me in when they could, but they could not give me a time- it could be an hour, 2 hours, 3 hours or more. She told that my lab test was not a priority and I would have to just sit and wait. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she said she saw no reason why I should do that and I should sit down. At which point she got really belligerent and began to berate me. Point noted: whatever you do, don't come here!!!!!!! read more

On July 20, 2015 I went to the Quest website to make a 7:30am appointment for July 27th. While in the process I also created an account in hopes that it might help in case there was a problem. The system told me my appointment was set, I never jotted down a confirmation number because i expected to receive an email or for the service center to have a list of all people with appointments. I did get two emails, one an email confirmation, and the other thanking me for creating an account. On 7/27 I went to the patient service center and arrived at 7:20am, ten minutes before opening. There were three people already there and one more that arrived after me. The employee that opened screeched into the parking lot at 7:35am and opened the door. Once we were inside and signed in she asked us to raise our hands if we had an appointment. Thinking I had an appointment, I raised mine. She then asked for confirmation numbers, I explained to her I did not have it. She took in the two people who produced those numbers. When she came out to call the next person, the woman who was there with me became irate because she said she had an appointment and didn't have a confirmation number. I told the employee to just take her next because she was upset and argumentative and she was holding everyone up. She took in the irate woman. In the mean time more people begun arriving and another employee showed up. They continued to call people but skipped over me. It was close to 8:30am when the original employee I dealt with came out and was going to take someone with an appointment for after 8am. I asked her what was going on that I wasn't being called when I told her I made an appointment for 7:30am. She told me since I had no confirmation number I had to wait. I offered to show her the emails from 7/20 when I created an account and made my appointment, she wasn't interested in anything but a confirmation number. I told her I have the emails from the 20th when I created an account and told her that I created the account while making the appointment. She then told me that there's many reasons why people create accounts, not necessarily for appointments and that she knows for sure that I didn't have one. I then reminded her that the irate woman I let go in front of me so she would calm down did not have a confirmation number and she was seen. She then told me that I let the irate woman take my spot and I'd have to wait. I couldn't believe that my letting an irate, combative customer go first in order to make her job easier and move things along would wind up penalizing me with an infinite wait. At that point after waiting almost an hour with no hopes of getting seen, I left. I had to wind up going elsewhere to get my blood work. If I would have been seen at 7:30am, I would have made it to work in time, instead I have to burn vacation time because of your employees incompetence and total disrespect. This particular Quest PSC is terrible. Appointment or not expect to wait an hour at the least. The techs seem to have no ability to think on their own, they just keep trying to follow their very flawed policy without daring to apply any come sense and reason. I suggest you go anywhere else but here unless you have an entire day to burn. Every time I think the service can't get any worse, it somehow manages to disappoint even more. read more

I have no idea where these bad reviews are based. I made an appointment on line, extremely easy. I arrived on time, 8:14 for an 8:15 appointment. I waited approximately 5 minutes to be called to the reception desk. Presented prescription and insurance cards, directed back to room 2 and was leaving 10 minutes later! Everyone was friendly and efficient. I have the worst veins ever but it was absolutely no problem Very skilled and professional. I will make this my go to lab from now on. Well done. read more
