Came in on a Friday to have bloodwork done for my employer. I did not have an appointment but the wait was short. A very kind phlebotomist came and took me back. I had an 8:50 am appointment for a fasting blood draw. The waiting room was packed. The phlebotomist announced that he was on his own and way behind. He asked for patience. After waiting 90 minutes it was finally my turn. I told him that I need a tight bandage because I take blood thinners. He placed only a cotton ball and paper tape. I got to my car and realized that I was bleeding profusely. There is blood in my car, shoes, pants, arm and hand. I immediately returned to Quest to get a proper bandage and cleaned up. read more

Stood in line for an hour to get a Covid test. After confirming via telephone AND in person once I got there that they ARE taking walk-ins and our paperwork would be brought to us in line, I was then told I could not be seen today because I didn't register and they were not taking walk-ins. Anytime I see someone write a 1 star review with very few total reviews, you can tell that they are an extremely emotional yelper. As everyone know Quest is all over the place and has extremely high turn over of employees. That's fine, I don't expect 5 star service, I come here for blood drawn or drug testing for employment. I was thrilled with this place. I went online ahead of time and made an appointment, I got there right at that time and they took me right in. I was in and out of there within 15 minutes and the woman working both the desk and in one of the testing rooms was great. She was professional, friendly and extremely quick. Quest does not care about this office during the pandemic. I was shocked when I walked in. It's in a smaller 'office'. When I entered, I immediately checked in the kiosk and waited in the car until called. There is a small waiting room. The receptionist area is astonishingly open. There is NO plexi-glass between the receptionist and a patient putting both lives in danger. The hand sanitizers are watery 'alcohol' and terrible. Going in for my wellness visit. The 3 staff members did not have face shields just masks. I did not feel safe inside. The waiting rooms look old, with furniture having torn fabrics held together by tape (What year are we in and what county are we in?). There is no doors in each room. The staff attending to me seemed friendly (contrary to the reviews here), took height, weight, blood pressure. I walked into another room for blood to be drawn. She def wasn't gentle with the needle and def get a pinch for the blood being drawn. I've had better experience with needle/vain by other staff members. I would AVOID THIS OFFICE at all costs. Being in Ellicott City, I thought they'd be in a modern office and taking the pandemic seriously with friendly staff. Def NOT the case. read more

The ladies at Quest literally turned my whole day around today after waiting 50 minutes at LabCorp and not getting helped. They took my lab slip (with LabCorp on it) and I was in and out inside of 15 minutes. Was just there yesterday... The clinic was very clean and all of the staff were very nice and welcoming. There were three ladies working that busy/crowded office and they were rocking and rolling. My technician was Latel she checked me in was very helpful and explained the whole process too me... She also drew my blood. She was quick and efficient which made my experience great. Im scared of needles lol. I think the young lady working across from her name was Latoya she was very helpful too and i watched how she treated her client and i could tell her client was happy too. Verdict: avoid this place like a plague if you want to be treated like a human being Context: I have very difficult veins and had a long history of phlebotomists having trouble drawing blood and leaving my arms bruised or even inflamed. So to avoid frustration on both ends, I always politely ask for butterfly needles. Front desk experience: I explained to the lady my situation and told her politely that "I would appreciate it if you could get a phlebotomist with a lot of experience with difficult veins", she stared into my eyes coldly and responded "everyone is good". Needless to say she completely ignored my request. Blood drawing experience: The phlebotomist was a young male who dressed unprofessionally, and whose top priority is clearly to listen to his personal music on his phone at all times during work, as the first thing he did after putting on his gloves was to adjust the volume on his cell phone music (with his gloves on). I again patiently told him about my difficult veins and urged him to use a butterfly needle, and his response was a rude "Have you ever drawn blood before?" I should have walked out then, but I sighed and explained to him that the last time I had my blood drawn, I was stabbed so many times on both arms that I ended up with a tendon infection, so please would he use a butterfly needle. Once again all this fell on deaf ears and he proceeded to drawing blood with the big needle. He a) stabbed me multiple times with the big needle; b) caused a huge bruise on my arm by pulling the needle in and out and breaking the veins (I will try to post a picture); c) after all this didn't even get enough blood for the tests; d) no apologies whatsoever. Here is how some of the conversation went: Me: could you change to the butterfly needle if you could not get blood after the first poke? He: umm Me: could you change needle? He: (no response) Me: would you mind not stabbing me more with that big needle? He: (no response) Me: see, I was not lying to you before about my veins being difficult, but you wouldn't believe me. What should I say next time so that people can believe that I have difficult veins? He: you should ask them to use the butterfly needle. Me: but I did!! He: I don't know. Synopsis: I will never set foot in this place again. I was met with neither care nor respect, as if I was not a human being. The phlebotomist clearly cared more for his music on the phone than his patient. Shockingly, during this entire process, he never once said "sorry" or "I should have used the butterfly needle". Petition: if you know of a good place/phlebotomist who handles little children or difficult veins well, please, please, please, leave me with that information. Thank you. read more

Avoid this location at all costs. There is a tech there named Marcia. She treated my wife very poorly when she went in for labwork on the morning of 9/19/20 at around 8:45am. Her behavior was nothing short of obnoxious and unacceptable. She was inept in using the computer in registering my wife and a number of people were taken earlier by someone more competent. In addition she made very repulsive and nasty comments asking my wife "WHY ARE YOU HERE FOR THE SAME THING AGAIN?" When my wife tried to assist and tell her which arm was better in drawing blood she retorted back "I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING AND YOU WOULDN'T KNOW ANY BETTER" even though we are both in the medical field. My wife was in tears because of how she was treated. When I asked to speak with the manager because of how poorly we were treated my wife was accused of LYING by Marcia-her exact words. She has no respect for others and certainly needs more training in customer service. I don't see how someone keeps a job with this type of temperament and demeanor. On our way out Marcia held up her MIDDLE FINGER saluting us. I have never dealt with anything like this before. I would not be surprised if she tainted my wife's blood sample. AVOID AT ALL COSTS: I took my 6-year old to get a covid test so he could return to school... seemed seamless... however an hour later when I returned home, the lady in charge at this specific practice called me saying she needed me to fill out some information online. I tried explaining many times that the items she was requesting, I already provided via the online portal I was texted. I was trying to figure out a solution, clearly, if I did it, but she wasn't receiving it, I must have been doing something wrong. In the middle of explaining she started yelling at me over the phone saying, "WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN?! I AM NOT YOUR WIFE!" And proceeded to hang up on me. At this time I decided to drive in and have a conversation, alone, to get better clarity... ultimately I was trying to avoid my son having to get another COVID test. Upon arriving, she continued yelling at me in front of other patients, threatening to call the cops and I kept reiterating "ma'am I am simply asking for clarity"... she continued by telling me she was going to throw away my sons covid sample and kicked me out the office slamming the door on me and another patient on the way out. I will be contacting corporate and patient advocacy because these actions are unbecoming of a medical professional. Worst part is, my 6-year-old who is innocent in this now has to go through the extremely uncomfortable testing process again and will miss more time from school. I am typically very hard to stick....but not here. They always are able to find the vein quickly and expertly. They're better at finding my veins than most hospitals! As a frequent blood tester, I've had to have my blood drawn at many different locations. But I have to say that this location has always been quick and good. I have even brought my small daughter here to get her blood drawn. And they were patient and kind and quick and painless while drawing her blood too. Awesome job!!! read more

Well like everything people come and go. This has been my "go to" lab for a while now. I'm only giving 2 stars because of the admin who checked me in was very nice and first thing on a Saturday as a walk in I waited maybe 5 minutes! That part was great. The lab tech, not so much. One of the most painful blood draws I've had in quite a while. Almost 20 minutes later and my arm still hurts! She definitely missed or went through the vein due to how painful it was and how slowly the blood came out. Makes me mad after having so many great experiences here to have to write something negative, I guess next time I will request another tech if I get her. read more

It was my first time going to this office, thinking their reviews are higher than other offices, maybe is better than other offices, but I feel like they are racist toward asian peoples.Im vietnamese,due to this corona virus, they were really rude and thinking because im asian, i might spread the germs to them. One of the girl who draw my blood was like, "people like you that how it get other peoples sick, should be at home." I was like im not even sick, "yea you not sick but you should be at home." peoples get their blood for other reason not because they are sick, and is this referring to health.They were all color womens seems to be rude and unprofessionalism.After i leave,they follow after every move and walk just clean and wipe after me.I thought it was funny and stupid that they try to list as chinese.I told my friends and my american bf and they were like those peoples working there are veing racist. read more

Receptionist is very rude. She seems very uninterested in what you have to say and willingly chooses to ignore you when you go up to the front desk. The person who did the actual blood test was very nice however and that is why I'm giving 2 stars. read more

We have had dozens of blood draws here over the years. They have always been friendly and done a great job. I am amazed how well draw blood with my kids. My kids have no problem going there due to the excellent care and skill of the staff. While my kids are not afraid to have their blood drawn, I am, and they are always very sweet to me. read more
