After logging into the kiosk, I checked again and it still said 1 minute wait when I was surrounded by people waiting. BLOOD & URINE TESTS Last Wednesday before Thanksgiving I had an appointment with my physician for my yearly check up. He requested the normal blood and urine tests. He asked where I would like to have the laboratory for these tests. Usually I have it at Washington Hospital but for some reason I decided to have it at Quest Diagnostics. He processed the order form for Quest Diognostics. Then I realized I would need to make an appointment at Quest Diognoatics because the wait for a walk-in can be long. I tried to make an appointment but the day and time weren't available. So instead of taking a day off from work for a blood test I went in today for a walk-in. Since I didn't make an appointment I knew the wait would quite a while especially when there are patients waiting on a Saturday. The wait was about an hour. After waiting the process to take my blood and urine tests went quickly. The staff here is really nice. I recommend making an appointment to avoid the long wait. If come back here again for a lab test on Saturday I'll come really early or make an appointment. read more

I made an appointment here last week to get a blood test. I arrived at the scheduled time, signed in and gave the receptionist my paper work. There were two lines, the one on the left is for people with appointments and the one on the right is for walk ins. Both lines were equally long so I thought that was a little questionable, especially since they should know how many people they're capable of seeing on any given day. There were at least 10 people ahead of me with appointments. As I was sitting around waiting for name to be called, I overheard a conversation between the receptionist and a patient. Let's just say the person was not thrilled because of a mistake that was made on the lab's part. I won't get into the details but it made me second guess coming here. Things got worst when they told me that my insurance group did not allow me to get a blood test at this location. I asked if they were absolutely sure I couldn't use my insurance here and they were confident. The only reason I came here was because it was close to work. I would have otherwise went to one of the labs in San Francisco to get it done. That's what I eventually did and when they asked me why there was writing on my paperwork, I told them what happened. They were baffled at why this location turned me down. I decided to research this a little bit further. I contacted my insurance company and found out that because I have an HMO plan, the lab can decide what contracts they accept. Unfortunately mine did not fall into their list. read more

I came here today to get some blood work done via doctor's orders. I have been coming here numerous times. The most important thing I learned before coming here is MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! I did just that last week. When I entered here, the room was packed wall to wall. If you do end up coming here, the reception desk is composed of two sections. The right hand side is for walk-ins and the left is for appointments. My appointment time was scheduled for 8:20am but, I got in a little early to fill out minimal paper work. The receptionist was friendly and processed my paper work. This took less than five minutes. After registering myself, I had to find a place to stand. There were no chairs to sit in after I was done registering. Even though that seats were opening up left and right, I rather have someone who needed more than I did. Ten minutes later I was called by a phlebotomist. He was friendly person. I guess it is a hit or miss with the cool and not so cool ones. The process took about five minutes. Despite all the bad Yelp reviews, this place really isn't as bad as it's made out to be. I came here for the first time yesterday to get my blood drawn. To be honest, I was quite scared and a little nervous because I've had a bad experience the last time I had my blood drawn and did not want to go through it again. However - my experience this time was different. To my surprise, the whole process only took about 30 minutes, even though I was being a difficult patient. I had an appointment but the place was pretty empty when I got there. I was seen immediately after I registered. The phlebotomist made me feel completely at ease and made the entire thing as painless as possible. She was definitely experienced and did a great job. I will most likely come back to this location for any further test or blood work I may need in the future. read more

Oh man, I have never waited so long for lab test. This is probably the most busiest lab in Fremont. While physical examinations are normally once a year, I still would not subject myself to waiting here. Since it is located in the heart of all doctor offices, you'd expect it to be very busy and full of sick people. Even so, the staff is very patient and seems to be normal with the amount of people that come into their lab. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of sitting and standing room. In my opinion, if you are going to quest laboratories, and you don't want to wait - I would go to the Quest laboratory locations. I am just saying, if you are fasting, and you don't want to wait longer than an hour - spare yourself some time it is the same business and your lab work is sent electronically there too. read more

This is the most horrible testing center i have ever seen. Apparently they just routinely "lose" your blood test results with no implication. For both myself and my wife we took blood tests for immigration purposes(separately of course) later on the physician said to repeat the blood tests because the results for both were "missing" from the Quest labs. If you try calling, they will not pick up the phone. Losing results for one person is almost unheard of and unacceptable, but these folks manage to lose results for 2 people, so imagine the standard of care and professionalism. There is no guarantee that you will be able to see the results even after you do the testing from this center, just avoid it like the plague. Go to some other center. read more

Brought my daughter in for blood draw, the phlebotomist she got was an Indian lady didn't catch her name located in room 3. Not only did she poke my daughter and was fishing around with the needle upon no successful draw but she disinfected the area and touch it afterwards with her gloves. Tourniquet was left on the whole process for over 2 minutes. Definitely disappointed because I'm aware of the protocol and she didn't follow it. Super disappointed with Quest obviously they need a refresher on the proper steps. read more

We just had to drop off a urine sample and now they have no front desk so there is no one to talk to and the girl in front taking temperatures just says "it's a really long wait and there is nothing she can do because she has no computer". I thought instead of searching will ask these guys if they can do the tests. They checked my insurance and it was done in less than 10mins. This is a really really busy lab. You can wait up to 1 hour + if you just walk in and are not early. An appointment can be as fast as 15 minutes. My best advice is to make an appointment. 1-888-277-8772 You will be happy you did. Remember to bring your paperwork (Doctors orders, Lab request forms), even standing orders need to be re submit. Also, bring your insurance cards. You can have them faxed there but that will take even longer. The receptionist are usually very nice and the phlebotomist are well practiced since they see so many patients. They move fast but not sloppy. Can't say I love coming here.... its comparable to visiting DMV, but surprisingly a bit faster. The digital check-in actually stream lines the service, in comparison to the old way you used to have to check in. Here's how it works; walk in, go to the computers, fill out your name and basic info, sit down, wait to be called, when called, go to the receptionist, give them your forms and insurance info (if you have any). Sit back down and wait to be called again. They tell you to go to a certain room, sit, go over information, costs, etc, draws blood, and you're on your way. Easier said than done though. You're sitting in this small space with sick and healthy people of all ages and ethnicities. Expect to be entertained or bored out of your mind. It's stuffy and a bit claustrophobic so if you don't like being sandwiched with people in this small space, stand outside. There's been times where I've waited 15 minutes, and times where my wife had to wait up to 2 hours to be seen. Hence, the reference to DMV. Not everyone there is friendly, so don't surprised if you get great or terrible service. I've experienced both sadly enough. read more

DO NOT walk in here...every seat was taken and there were people waiting outside in the rain..would have thought it was a methodone clinic or something.. There a front desk worker name Almira (picture is in the photo area). She is not a good with customer services. I have a standing orders which I come here twice every week. Today I also have an additional test that were send to my house thru fedex. I didn't think you would need the fedex box so I just brought in the test box only. So I presented to her and she demanded " where is the fedex box?" I said "I didn't think you need it so I left it in the car." She said "of course I need it." With an irritated expression. This is not the first time she act like that with me. People that come and have their labs taken are usually sick or something might happen to them. The main problem in this quest is that it's always crowded. I have been here twice and both the time on awkward weekday hours and it was always crowded. I always have a habit of scheduling an appointment before going to a place and I am very particular to get my service at that time but I don't think it really works here. Both the time I had to wait for almost half an hour even after having an appointment which kind of frustrates me. Now the worst part my lab person, I really don't know if she punctured in the wrong place or what but I had an excruciating pain while she took the blood out of me. I walked into the clinic and checked myself in on the kiosk. My doctor had sent paperwork and no appointment needed. I was called to the receptionist desk maybe 2 minutes later and then called back almost immediately after the one page of paperwork. I was greeted by the sweetest phlebotomist ever and she was gentle and quick. The entire process was very easy for me today and I enjoyed all of my interactions with the phlebotomists in the back. From my interactions, it seems that the staff get along well with each other and everyone seems to enjoy their job. Which truly makes all the difference for the patient! Thank you guys! read more

I came on a really good day, from what I've seen/heard. There was only 2 other patients other than myself so I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. For first time patients as long as you have your paperwork it's quick to put you in the system. They've added kiosks for a quick self check-in that makes the process of adding your name into the system a lot faster and more efficient! I called in to make a same-day appointment which isn't necessarily needed, but it's recommended since usually it's extremely full of people just trying to get their bloodwork in during their lunch break or something. The call in is easy but tedious with the automated voice system, but it saved me an hour of waiting at home instead of waiting an hour in their office. All in all good experience! The guy was funny and said he'd never donated blood before because he draws in all the time, isn't that weird?! read more

I unfortunately have to have bloodwork drawn at least once a week. This branch of quest helps the experience to be as pain free and comfortable as possible. The facility is clean and nicely decorated. They provide cold drinking water in the waiting room and the restcrooms are spotless. I am a difficult draw my veins don't cooperate, however, the techs here are very good, professional, freindly and caring. Sometimes the waits can be long. You can make an appt. Using the quest diagnostics website. I can't comment as to that process though since I have never made an appt. If you are bribing an infant you really may have a long wait they have only one room with the eqipment necessary for a baby blood draw. read more

After my Doctor appointment, I needed lab work. I know it seems convenient to just walk in, considering it's only a few doors down from my Doctor's office. I've done that before in past and the wait can be long to very long. So I always make an appointment online beforehand. My appointment was at 1:45 pm and I was done and out of there before 2:00 pm. I usually go to a another location but they didn't have the time slot I wanted and after reading some of the Yelp reviews I was a little concerned about this location. I know the mornings are the busiest especially when you're required to fast. The staff was very pleasant and friendly and the withdrawing of blood process was quick and efficient. Sometimes they have a difficult time finding my vein. If I walk out of there with only one needle prick, you know they are skilled. So when you need lab work, make an appointment and have your paperwork ready with name, address, birth-date, phone number filled in and paperwork signed. Otherwise, they will ask you to fill in the information. Saves you a minute or two and saves the staff from asking the same redundant questions all day. read more

I went there to get blood work done worst experience ever. Last year they didn't send blood report to my Dr. And this time After I waited for 2hrs they told me my insurance not working here need to go to different place, but they took same insurance last year it was fine. Super rude staff nobody tell you where you have to sign in after looking around I figured it out. It's hard for older people to fill online information when there's no one to help. They should have security person to help people and hire friendly staff to give right information to people. read more

If the zero star is available this is the ultimate zero star. We go here at 9:30 with room full of people 30+ heads. The employees are calling one name about every fifteen minutes, one name. It's now 11:30pm and I think they only call 5-6 names. They have a broken system. Drawing blood a tube or a few takes five minutes with one intrusion. So if they have three people drawing blood and say three minutes to prep for paperwork and materials needed they should be able to draw seven people per employee. So twenty plus patients per he right? They don't seem to care. Must be getting double time on Saturday and drag their feet because they are not even in a hurry to get things done. Worse clinic and device by far. Do not go here unless you don't care about wasting your Saturday. Zero stars given!!!!!! read more

My first review on yelp. It had to have been pretty bad for me to post a review. I have gone to this location several times. My veins are pretty hard to find, but with an experienced person they are able to draw blood and not bruise me. They use a butterfly needle. I had 1 lady several months ago poke me 2x and she bruised me right away. She gave up and gave me to someone more experienced. He was great, used a butterfly and didn't need to poke me in odd places. Went strait for the middle of the crease in my arm. So, I said ok she's new that's fine. Went back a month or 2 later, had another lady draw blood in my bigger veins on the middle of my arm. I thought it was weird since no one ever goes for a big vein. I've had a man draw from the front on my hand before, no bruising whatsoever ( Sutter Health.) Well, by the time I took off my bandage my arm was badly bruised! Again, I thought ok maybe it's just me. Well, today I got the same lady she did the same thing! Went strait for a main vein in the middle of my arm! Why would you do that? And she used a big needle. Well it's no surprise I'm bruised up again. It's not the bruising that bothers me. I've been told if not done right I get scar tissues and it makes it harder for the next draw. I just want them to see this review and train their people better. I get blood drawn on a regular basis, and will try another location. I have no complaints on the service or wait time. People are nice and professional, but they lack skill level. read more
