I don't even live in the state of Illinois, and he thought it was a good idea to keep me in the hospital for two weeks. His decision cost me my job. He also demanded that I start taking medicine that I didn't need and that essentially turned me into a nonverbal three-year-old. I am guessing he did this to stop me from complaining to authorities about him, but, unfortunately for him, I am in the process of filing a 10-page complaint with the Illinois state medical board. At discharge, he stole a prescription of Adderall from me and attempted to steal $700.00. I had to have a lawyer call and threaten to file a police report in order to have the money returned. I didn't get the medication back. I am guessing he took it, and I don't blame him, because he may need it worse than me. I am hoping that in doing so he was able to provide his other patients there with something other than the far-below substandard care that I received. Unless you want a nightmare horror movie experience, stay out of this hospital. It is the worst. Not only are the doctors ignorant about developmental disorders, but they actively abuse and take advantage of the vulnerable people who have them.

I just wrote a review for Future Diagnostics at New Lennox because I didn't see this location... oops... this is the location I had MRI done. It's located in Joliet. Well worth the drive from Chicago!! Everyone was so professional, medically knowledgeable and so very kind and caring!!! And the MRI cost was nearly 1/3 less than the hospital I was referred to originally. I was able to get in so soon after calling!! Lori Russ is phenomenal!!! All of the MRI techs are great!! Each person I interacted with was professional, so knowledgeable and so very kind! And, each person really took the time and listened to what had been occurring with me medically..so refreshing!! I got Dr. Berger and Dr Berger is a walking malpractice lawsuit waiting to happen. Time: First of all he is chronically late. Nice guy but I had to wait 2 HOURS AND 15 Minutes to see him! Ludicrous. The nurses say you just can't talk to him and that this is how he is. Two other patients were waiting with me and all of us were flummoxed as to how long it took him. It took so long that I had no idea my 1pm doctors appointment would interfere with my 5:15pm appointment. So I had to get my ekg the next day! I also had labs to do. Originally Dr Berger sent me upstairs to get my labs and didn't sign the correct order (signed the order for the in house lab). The lady upstairs looked pretty confused and then she asked me if I had fasted. I said no. She said I needed to do that (which is what I've always already known). So I went downstairs to tell him and he said oh ok. Oops. The bottom line is this. I had to refuse my EKG portion of my physical because I ran out of time. I had an online 5:15p appointment. My doctors appointment was at 1pm. Sink into that for a second. The next day I went in for bloods and was scheduled at 10:15 am. The girl in the lab didn't show which I'm told happens fairly regularly. The EKG happened right away (this is DAY 2 by the way) and then I needed to wait on a signature from the doctor to get my blood test and I waited three hours. He was supposed to come in at 11:30a a d didn't come in until 1pm. Dr. Berger just Joe's the give a f*ck! It's unnerving. I had the poor guy in the room next to me mention that his mother had dialysis but he had to take her to and he was waiting on the doctor. We were all waiting on the doctor. This is a malpractice lawsuit waiting to happen this man is completely irresponsible with his and everybody else's time and gives literally zero regard. If you have Dr. Berger, just be ready to be there all day waiting for him to finally decide to saunter in on his own free well. And apparently because he's a doctor, not even the manager can say anything. So this guy just gets to do whatever the hell he wants with zero consequences! I've never seen anything like it in my life and after being a Clinical in Associates Follow Los 15 years I'm never going to see it again. By the way, if you want to see what death on earth looks like, simply go into their lobby! Picture Kmart fluorescent lights on a deep dark purple along with purple seats from the 1990s for people to sit on and wait. The Secretary at the front having literally the most monotone voice that it's comical. The whole place is a disgusting nightmare. I've complained about the color scheme since they moved in and so has everybody else but apparently the owner truly just doesn't give a shit. He doesn't care that the doctor is not taking care of patients, He doesn't care about the color scheme or depression among staff or nurses who say they can't say anything to anybody about anything. It is crystal clear that Dr. Arvind Patel, the owner could give two shits about any of this and that in fact, he just doesn't care at all. My father is an independent physician in Michigan. I called to find out a price for an MRI if I self paid. No one answered the phone, but almost…read moreimmediately I got a text asking what I needed. I got the impression they did not want to speak to me, only text. I asked for the price of a self pay knee MRI and they told me $375 with no contrast and offered no other information. My doctor ordered the MRI and I was lucky enough to get an appointment for the next day which was great. However, my doctor's office sent it through my insurance for approval. The facility charged $1926 to my insurance and with the discount my portion is $525. I called to ask if I could just pay the self pay amount and I was told I needed to pay that at the time of the appointment. Once insurance is involved they get an outside company and I have to pay the significantly higher amount. The person who texted me with the price information should have told me that and I would have just paid upfront and not gotten insurance involved. Also, the day of my appointment there were several young women working at the front desk who seemed a lot more interested in chatting than helping patients. A couple acted annoyed by having to help patients. After my MRI I told them I needed a disc. I sat for 15 minutes waiting for my disc. I finally asked about it and it was done and sitting in the machine waiting. The woman who actually did the MRI was friendly and explained everything which was great.

It made things very tough because I had a date for surgery and surgeon needed to review the images to make a plan.

There may be an explanation for this discrepancy, but despite multiple attempts to follow up, I was unable to obtain clarification. Dr. Chin did just that. He gave me a lot of details about why my current condition made sense given my earlier injury and why all the signs he was seeing that everything was healing normally.
