I had to go for general lab work and I can say I was pleasantly surprised. My appointment was for 1:40. I arrived about 1:30 expecting a wait. Let's just say I was done by 1:48. Dasia was so friendly and had me rolling with laughter while she did the blood draw. The other staff were friendly as well. This was the best experience I've had with Quest. I was at Quest a few weeks ago for bloodwork. During that time they found my Thyroid level was high so he ordered more test. As usual I made an appointment, arrived to the appointment on time and left 50 minutes later. So easy and efficient! They were super busy today but they did a great job getting me through. Again; all I can say is YOU MUST make an appointment so you are in and out in decent time. If you don't have an appointment and just walk in you are filtered in with appointments which will take forever! Today all the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Despite quite a number of bad reviews, I love this place. The staff is always friendly, smiling, & makes me feel comfortable.

Sometimes the worst experience with some of the most rude techs. This morning theres a handwritten sign on the screen said 'bypass ID! NOT WORKING' & there was no bypass button? So I moved to the next machine & tried again, another lady tried to use it & since I couldn't figure it out I told her I'm not sure how what's wrong, then the tech came out & I said I couldn't figure that one out & she got pretty loud with me immediately & said 'Thats cause YALL DONT KNOW HOW TO READ' She made me friken cry at 7:30 in the morning. Luckily the person who helped me named Daysia was nice & helped calmed me down (the only reason this isn't a 1 star review) but there is no need for the outrageous attitude at 7:30 in the morning. I will probably book at a different location next time just because of this interaction. I will not tolerate being yelled at by someone who's supposed to be helping me. read more

The waiting area is large and clean. There are 2 computer screens to check in - one wasn't working. The only staff I saw was when a diagnostician would leave their "inner sanctum" to call a patient. Staff was friendly. Being older, I asked the phlebotomist to use a small needle (I do have good veins). I could tell once she punctured me that it was not small and it was painful. As a result, I had a bruise for a week. When I use LabCorps at the Dillon Building, the staff is friendly, puts you at ease, painlessly draws blood, and never leaves a bruise. Although the phlebotomist was pleasant, she dismissed my wishes without explanation. read more

This is now my third time taking my teenager for lab work, and I've been meaning to share just how lovely our experience was - the phlebotomists are warm, helpful, and efficient. They took great care of us. We were walk-ins each time and they fit us in under 30 minutes. read more

You must come in to schedule an appointment just to drop off a specimen. The vibe in Quest is bad energy. I am not a fan.

I set an appointment for 1:30 pm. Did not get called back till 1:55 pm.... Now I'm waiting in another room with5 other people waiting to see when I'm next for my blood draw .... What's the point of making an appointment that they urge you to do so bad??? Had a fantastic experience at Quest Diagnostics today. This was my first time at this location and I was impressed. There were enough employees to handle the appointments and every employee I spoke to was so friendly and helpful. I only waited a few minutes to be seen and the blood draw was easy and painless. I also appreciate that Quest is enforcing mask wearing and implementing safety standards. Will definitely visit this location again. read more

Their Customer service is terrible. They lose patience with customers and give a lot of attitude and sass. If they can't handle the amount of traffic that comes in and out especially with pregnant women or first time moms who need all the help they can get then maybe they shouldn't be in business. This location is horribly busy. You can go on their website and make an appointment. I'm honestly not sure if that does any good or not. They do take walk-ins, so I can only assume they take back the patients with appointments first. When I went in around 1pm for some routine blood work from my doctor, the wait was going to be over an hour. What??? That was way too long of a wait for me, so I left. Monday - Friday, they close at 4pm, so I did what they probably hate the most. I went back and arrived about 10 minutes before they closed. The waiting room was empty. Heh! Worked out perfectly for me. The woman working the front desk was rude. It couldn't have only been because I came in right before closing because she was just as rude when I came in around 1pm. I smiled and tried to strike up conversation with her, but she wasn't having any of that. I honestly wondered if it was even possible for the woman to smile. I just ignored her rudeness and gave her the info she needed because I knew I wouldn't be there long. After giving my ID, insurance info, and doctor's orders to the rude woman, I only waited about 2 minutes before they called me back. The woman who drew my blood was very kind and she was really good at her job. She got me with the first stick and I barely felt it. She didn't seem to be the least bit annoyed with the fact I came in just before closing. Everything was very clean and organized. If you make an appointment... awesome. Hopefully they'll get you back at your actual appointment time. If not, then just do like I did and go at the end of the day. On Saturdays they are only open until noon and they are closed on Sundays. The chairs in the waiting room are hard and not comfortable at all. They are all placed very close together so you will practically be sitting on top of strangers. That would have been a big issue for me as well because I don't like people in my "bubble." The television they have in there was blaring so loudly I would have had a massive headache if I'd have had to sit there for an hour and wait. I know a lot of the Quest Diagnostic Centers do drug tests, but I noticed a sign posted stating they do not do drug tests at this location. I would go back here if I absolutely HAD to. But it would be my last choice. I generally have my blood work done at my doctor's office which is in the Baptist Pavilion, but his lab closes at 4pm. If for any reason I can't get my blood work in his office, I just go to the hospital's lab on the first floor of the Baptist Pavilion. If your'e in a pinch like I was, use this place, But if you have better options, I'd suggest you use those instead. read more

Something I see at Quest is no receptionist to help people get checked in. I noticed two times that I've been there that the elderly people don't have a clue how to work the computer. Quest Lab is the most ridiculous, UNHELPFUL, medical service that I have EVER experienced. I have been dealing with double vision for over a yr now. Finally sent to a neuro-ophthalmologist, I thought, but just a neurologist. Have had many lab tests done by pcp, all normal. Oakleaf did lab for neurologist, sent 3 results to me, all normal; other 3 sent to Quest in Tampa! Last 2 STILL not received by neurologist. Plus he wants mri with contrast. I want some prism glasses to find out if that's ALL I NEED!!! You get NO ANSWERS FROM QUEST. CAN'T EVEN SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON!!! This COVID HOAX has driven the World into MADNESS. IF I can get some glasses from a regular Optometrist, and they don't help, THEN I will decide what to do. I AM SICK OF THIS CIRCUS!!!!! read more

This place really needs some training on how to treat people, especially in today's times. I have been coming here for years and I have been writing to corporate for years about their discrimination of hearing impaired people. They can't just shout out your name from another room when it's your turn to go back! And yet they do- so wrong. It's a violation of privacy, it's demeaning and it's a huge problem when you miss your name being called because of your hearing impairment. I have told them soooo many times when I check in to not do that. When I was delayed considerably because I didn't hear my name you would have thought they would stop doing that. Nope. And their nee text system doesn't fix the problem since I didn't get the text until AFTER I missed my name being called. But this place is so busy that there is no reason for corporate to care- the money flow is working for them. read more

This location has really turned it around. I've been twice in the past 5 months for routine blood draw and both times I was in and out in about 20 minutes - total! The first time, I had an appointment and the second time I was a walk-in. Both times were in the morning before 10a. They checked me in and took my lab slip within 5 minutes of me being there. Then I only waited about 7-10 minutes before I was in the chair getting my blood drawn. The phlebotomist was very friendly and did a great job. Extremely pleased! Especially since this was NOT the case two years ago. Someone is running this location right! read more

I had to get blood work at Quest but I didn't have an appointment so I said I will be here all day but to my surprise I was only there for 1 hour and the tech that waited on me was amazing my veins are hard to find but she got it on the first try the employees at Quest are fast, and friendly keep up the good work. read more

You can make an appointment online and expect to be received within a few minutes of that time. However, I have found if you arrive before 11am it is not crowded and are received within a few minutes upon arrival. It is the afternoons that seem to always be slammed, hard to find a seat and slower in & out. The staff are always friendly and the blood tests are painless. That being said, I also am not afraid of them drawing my blood and I make sure I'm hydrated before going. read more

Showed up. Signed in. Someone from the back called me even though I hadn't been seen to provide my orders. They had my address wrong and asked me if I had taken my "blood thinners" which I have never had along with an order requesting 4 labs as opposed to the 8 I had in writing. We went to check in and they provided an attitude when they were in the wrong! I'm not paying for incompetence and attitude! Not to mention that when your incompetent, you don't have the right to an attitude. I would avoid this place! I don't like these places. Why can't doctor's offices just get their own blood and samples from you? This place is filled with people who do not look or act qualified to be poking on me. Very unprofessional and rude. Yelling at the people in the waiting room to have your insurance and ID ready when called up..then you wait and wait and wait and wait.. well if I have to wait to be called then they can wait 7 seconds on me to pull out my wallet for my cards. Quest on St.John's, Riverside was not a pleasant experience for me. The employees, not all, but enough for me to complain are just plain RUDE! They need training on people skills, especially when dealing with people of all ages and anxieties about having blood tests. I cannot say anything positive except for when I went, the wait time wasn't so bad, but the lack of people skills and lack of compassion have me terribly upset. read more

I'm very disappointed in this Quest location and I've never even been inside. I signed up for a 1:15 appointment and showed up promptly. I was stopped at the door and told that I couldn't come to my appointment because there was training for employees. Apparantly this happens a certain Thursday of every month, but Thanksgiving moved it to a Tuesday. That's fine- if they would have advertised that. It still said that they would be closing early on Thursday when I made my appointment. I've watched about 10 other patients try to go inside but they are locked, so clearly I wasn't the only one who missed the memo. Labwork is essential to our health. If you plan on closing, don't take appointments during the hours you're closed. That's common sense. I would have worked around their hours had I known. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. One this place does not have the feel of a lab it feels more like a low grade lab with no funding to keep it at the right temperature or the cleanliness that a LAB of this magnitude should have. The staff is just unprofessional and unfriendly. If these staff members hate where they work they shouldn't be working. They set the mood for every person that walks in the door. Quest should be ashamed with who they have hired for this location and how they do not inspect this location making sure its up to par. They also are NOT equipped to handle any infant or toddler. They have no right approach and are not qualified to handle this age group. After waiting for 3hr!! YES 3 hrs for a toddler to have blood work done , they couldn't even complete the task because of the torture approach they used on my 4 year old. Making us hold our 4 year old in a figure four move. She is 4 and scared of needles you have made her 1st experience the WORST. I was emotionally exhausted and left this place crying and NO one was concerned NEXT patient please !!! Quest again should be ashamed how how they treat people at this location. How about opening more LOCATIONS and hiring people that like doing what they are suppose to do. I'm disgusted and forever scarred of ever getting anything done at this QUEST or any one for that matter. The amount of reviews at all the locations that point out how rude people are the wait time and how unprofessional Quest is should RAISE some eyebrows in corporate and maybe do something about it!
