Staff shut down free speech, they scorn at questions during class, and upper management calls you into long, private meetings as an unprofessional spook-tactic if you notice something amiss. Even if you just want to improve. If that is not enough to deter you, professors will pile on countless hours of work and not go over material: good luck on your exams because they'll pick the content they want even if it's never mentioned during a lecture. And, if that's not enough, professors are uneducated on basic anatomical principals to the point of frightening ignorance. This not only hurts students: it hurts the animals. It pains me to see how many others had this same exact experience. Save your money and your health and find alternate options. Any field going into medicine is stressful, but VTI makes sure you have the worst experience possible.

I was in a two year program here and I wouldn't have chosen a different school to complete my program. There's a student center which was nice. Small campus and a variety of programs. No comment about the faculty. I didn't give the campus 5 stars because - the cafe downstairs (only place in the building to get food, snacks and drinks besides the vending machines). It's small and very pricey. The food that they served was ok but I rather packed my lunch to save money. And the parking lot right across the street was expensive. $70 a month and if you didn't want a contract, $12 a day. There was a $6 garage parking down the street but it's not that close especially if you're running late to class. Tip: Shriners hospital literally next door serves lunch at a certain time, serves DELICIOUS food for cheap! And a pretty good menu! Hamburger and fries was $4 something. There's even a small salad bar.

I was told by the host that the website needed to be updated and to call since the website wasn't 100% accurate. JUST CHANGE WHATS ON THE WEBSITE THEN? I tried calling numerous times and the advisors and admissions told me they go off the website stated "no earlier than August 1 for Spring admission". Talked to the nursing director and she had no idea about the immunization's deadline, she had to talk to a professor. To my surprise the tuberculosis was due July 31st, NOT after august 1st. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND NERVES. People having issues with HCC is no coincidence.

Get out and VOTE!…read more I'm not sure why so few people vote, but I always want my voice to be heard. Although I usually do early voting, sometimes I forget and I am voting at the last minute. That was the case last Tuesday. While watching the news, I realized that I had forgotten to vote. Hopped in the car with my favorite plus one at 6:36 PM. The polls close at 7 PM. HCC West Campus is so close and so easy to access. Plenty of parking. Signs and volunteers directing you to where the polls are set up on the campus. Only 8 people in line ahead of me. Saw so many of my neighbors. They had forgotten, but wanted to have their vote count, too. In the election last Tuesday, 1.9 million Texans voted. Sounds like a lot. It broke a record, but it was just 10% of the 18.7 million registered voters that live in the great state of Texas. For the next election, I know where I will vote. HCC West Loop Campus.

Academic Advising can't…read morefind transcripts I submitted two years ago, Admissions can't produce a transcript without redirecting you to a self-service computer, and the general staff just completely ignores you instead of helping you. I've been going back and forth on this campus for the past hour just trying to get a couple of simple things done and yet I can't. Even worse, despite the fact that my transcript was now found, I was told that I'd need to wait an additional 6-8 weeks for the credit to be applied in their system. They keep claiming "first come first serve" but they refuse to respect or acknowledge the people and documents actually entered first if they make a mistake in their system.

I was also trying to get my prescription drugs mail to my house due to the fact that my car is in the shop because of power steering issues also trying to get my rental car to get me around from point to point B because I'm disabled I have been rudely interrupted by the library manager. Her name is Christina. She called the campus police on me five of them blatantly because of my size of my statue. I'm a 57 year-old black man who's been disabled I have spent $2000 into this college to take three steps forward and three steps back because of my stature I have not gotten any help from professors or of the associate dean of students from the NW College. I would strongly urge students who want to go to this newfound for your college, not go. It is discriminating. It is gender ism on how the way the students not only feel but how they have been treated. This university needs to be seriously streamline. Advisors are very rude. They miss inform students as well as the chair people of the Higher administration and conducting and supporting professors who are passionate, but not giving them the tools or the students to succeed and which is really sad because the next generation they have no support I've got no support and no avail and I've decided to move forward with another accredited university so I strongly urge you don't go to this university I've wasted four semesters and good hard earned money that I put out in my pocket that I won't be getting back. It's wrong to have the administration of this college treat the student in such fashion and it is also wrong because somebody who is gay like myself who is big, black, bold, beautiful brilliant to be treated and such a racist and gender manner

Dallas College offers online classes like many other higher education institutions. Though HCC seems like the affordable option to better your life through education, at its core, it is an institution of moral corruption. Their graduation rate sits at 16.5% (out of 100%) and if you read their policies, you will see that they do not encourage students to advocate for themselves. They do not want to assist their students; they want to take advantage and keep the money. From deans to professors, they are only looking to keep their jobs and gaslight the students. As an educator and someone who works at a university, I am passionately encouraging you to seek education elsewhere. This will only be a waste of money and time.
