An English-only section of the waiting room would be nice, a no cell phone conversation would be even nicer.

My phlebotomist was very friendly and resolved an unclear portion of the lab order without any problems.

This was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I show up and get checked in. No…read moreissues so far. I wait for about 2 hours from check in as a walk in since the nearest appointment wasn't for a week out and this is a required drug screen for my employer. After my wait I get called up and told "we've done too many tests today so you'll have to come back on Monday". Keep in mind this was at around 2pm I was turned away but they state that they accept walking until 3pm. Absolutely ridiculous and who would have know that the lab can't run many lab tests or hit a "quota" for the day. As I was waiting, in case someone doesn't show up, I saw another gentleman be turned away for the 2nd day in a row due to the same "quota" being met. Highly do not recommend it's an absolute mess and waste of time.

The worker then told me to go to the Long Beach walk-in location and assured me that they'd accept me there. HOWEVER, after driving all the way to LB, they told me they also maxed out. I tried calling Tustin and Long Beach before driving out but no one picks up the phone. I'm not upset that the capacity maxed out. I'm upset that the worker wasted my time telling me to drive 30min to a different location and assured me that they'd accept me when I specifically asked if that location can max out also. The LB location told me that the Tustin worker had no right to assure me of this and they couldn't help me. Lesson learned: never show up without an appointment because walk ins are impossible. And book your appointment early because they're booked out 2+ weeks in advance.

Anyways fast forward to next thursday and i check in at 7:58 and i wait about an 1hr to get called up and hand it my paper work. i didn't get her name but i was trying to talk to the nurse and asked her if i would be seen today or they reached capacity and she kept on interrupting me with "yes" and "okay" and i could not even talk to her so i just said thank you and walked away. i understand she had other patients to talk to but i felt a little hurt she was interrupting me but after that i say down for about another hour and waited to get called up at around 9:40. the actual drug test was no more than 3 minutes. i walk back, she hands me the cup, explains the rules, i go pee, hand her the cup, sign a paper and cup than i'm out. to talk about the procedure more in depth tho i walk back and have to place my things in a box to avoid tampering and empty my pockets, she didn't pat me down but i still took everything out and left my jacket on. she explained that i had 4 minutes to pee and that after i pee up to a line in the cup to NOT flush the toilet or my hands and that once she gets the cup and the okay i can wash them and she'd flush the toilet for me. and to clarify, the toilet waters blue to avoid tampering with test and sink is to to be used after for those reasons. i than handed her the cup. she let me wash my hands than handed me a key to unlock the box and i filled out a form than initiated a little plastic vial with my pee in it and i was good. overall my experience was much more pleasant than the last time i was there but im taking 2 stars off because their communication with patients is atrocious. they fail to communicate proper times with patients until after they're checked in (what happened to me that friday) and overall wait time just sucked but i get they can't control that. i really hope they'd have their rules posted online or out side but since they don't ill share them. Once a day they will take up to 15 walk ins and after that you'll have to come back after lunch times where i think the count re sets (?) as i was ese dropping i didn't really understand what the nurse meant but she did say its a new policy they're starting. but as a professional work place they should have the competence to post their PROPER hours and clarify. To end my final notes are GET THERE AT 8. from what i heard i don't think they accept walk ins at 7 and the window is from 8-9:30ish basically. 15 spots fill up quick so be ready with PAPER WORK, ID, SNACKS (if applicable) and SOMETHING TO DO. my time went my so fast because i was watching my show; yes id get impatient but overall it started to go by really fast when i was distracted.

Bring in Yelp to the rescue! Asked Siri , "find me the closest location Stat" and onward it brought me to this location in Orange. Parking was a breeze, i was greeted by Edith who assisted me with several of my orders. One of which i had to email. Word to the wise, wifi here is a bit tricky. So, i signed onto their "guest" portal via wifi and after several attempts was able to successfully send the order to them. Thank you Edith! I got lucky. It must be noted: Morning draws have to be by appointment: 7:30am-12pm. After lunch, walk-ins are possible. I made it by 3:15pm within walk-in hours and was able to be helped . Key note: this location is located on bottom floor, as you walk inside the building it's straight after security. They are open until 5pm M-F. I had to use the Kiosk to check-in via ID and verify insurance per usual and the rest was sitting in the waiting room. The vibe here is lovely. Its a small waiting room, with limited seating ( i counted 6 chairs) but it has a tv for one to watch while they wait. Edith, Brianna and Sherri at the front desk were friendly, welcoming and super helpful with my email/order issue. Each Labcorp location has its own vibe. This one is cozy yet uplifting. Once inside the Phlebotomist named: Louis Helped me. My arm wasn't being helpful, and mid-way we had to abort mission. I had a small, tiny issue with vasal -vagal nothing some rubbing ETOH can't handle. Luckily, I was able to get some samples needed for an immediate issue. Will come back for the remaining when ive rested for round 2.
