I had appointment today at the Suffern Office. got Text to sign in. Signed in. name did not appear on screen. One lady came out to call a patient once. Another patient said she signed in 40 minutes earlier. The Tech said something was wrong, to come on in. after that, no workers came to the door for anyone in over 40 minutes!!! you do not have contact with anyone there. the Door window is all taped up with paper & locked. you just sit in a room in front, and hope someone will come out of the Back to help you. Customer Service does not exist at this office, there are no people to talk to & nobody to help you here. so i made an appointment for the end of the month. Miserable, Substandard Blood Lab! Obviously, no way to call this place as the main company blocks calls and loops a blow-off message with no opportunity to reach a live person. If you need the results report, it can be impossible to receive, and the customer service line is rude and worthless. The patient/customer is not respected whatsoever. What's the point of getting blood work if the results are not considered important enough by this company to release to the patient? read more

While the office is large and there are separate, private rooms, there are some problems, the first being that they are understaffed, which shows on the techs. Second year in a row that doctor sent me here for specific bloodwork. Both times, staff was distant, one-word answers, no communication except when necessary. Had to do a urinalysis, tech gave me an unsterilized cup with no lid, no wipes - had to repeat the test at hospital prior to a procedure because analysis was tainted. Tech did not know how to draw the specific blood test request from my doctor. I had to call doctor, tech had to call someone else, at one point asking for specific shipping orders. I'm not confident in my test results and will have to repeat them. read more

This is establishment has the worst reception and technicians. The place was like a Ghost Town that is how empty it was and, the staff was extremely rude and made me wait hours in an empty Quest. A few weeks ago, I gave this lab 4 stars. I made an appointment for my toddler, arrived on time, and was taken in within 5 minutes, and the techs were good with my son and patient with us. We had a great experience. However, today, I had an appointment for myself at 8 am, and arrived just on time. The waiting room was full, and the tablet for check in was down, so I signed in on the paper form, and indicated that I had an appointment. There was one tech working, and he was busy on the phone with tech support or whomever (while he had a patient in one of the rooms) and was trying to fix the problem. He was unable to, so when a 2nd employee showed up, he handed her the phone, and she proceeded to try to rectify the problem, while all of us in the waiting room sat watching this debacle. Finally, the female employee said she'd have to call back later. When one of the people waiting asked her if she'd be taking people in soon, she responded quite nastily that she was "trying to do something" and people would have to wait. She eventually realized that it was ridiculous to have a waiting room full of people., and asked who had an appointment (thank god I did) and she took me in, complaining the entire time how the computer system was down, how she was tired, and how she "didn't want to be mean to people," but she didn't feel like having to be at work, and how she was stressed out. Frankly, I could not have cared less since I made an appointment, wanted to get my blood drawn, and get to work. The only reason I like this lab is that it's usually a pain to find parking at LabCorp down Rt 59, but I'll go there next time. So if you see the female employee with a heavy accent, nose ring, tattoos, and long hair, be sure not to ask her questions. I don't necessarily blame the employees-I blame the company for having one employee working and then a 2nd one come in later, and having employees trying to tend to patients and tend to the front reception check-in. read more

I had blood drawn this past Tuesday. They also needed a urine specimen which I could not provide at that time. I was given a specimen cup, told I could simply drop it off either that afternoon or the next day. I went by the next day around 11:30 am. The waiting room was filled with at least 10 or more people and more waiting outside. I knocked on the inner door. One of the technicians came out to talk to me. She wouldn't take the specimen from me but told me to "sign in." Are you kidding me? I am standing right in front of you and you can't take this from me? I told her the technician told me I could just drop it off. I was NOT going to wait hours before it was collected from me. I left. I was furious. The specimen cup had my information on it so I am not sure why that was necessary and I was not told upfront. read more

Appt time was 8:15 ... took me right on time. Julia was very pleasant and skilled. I was back in my car and on my way to work at 8:30.

I use labs quite often due to recurring health issues. I am very happy I have found Quest Labs at Indian Rock Plaza in Suffern. The staff there is very efficient and kind. During this pandemic they have kept the office clean and running smoothly. There are few labs open right now so this location is busy, however, do not be discouraged. There is a monitor on the TV screen in the waiting room that keeps you informed of your walk-in wait time. You can make an appointment so appointment are honored as closely to the scheduled time as possible. I give the kind staff three cheers for keeping things going quite well during such complicated times. read more

Extremely disappointed with the service. For 2 consecutive days now I have gone to the location at opening (7:30 am), signed in via the tablet, and indicated that I would wait in my car. The lobby (which does not feel anywhere as neat and clean as it seems that it should right now) was near the 5-person capacity on both days. According to instructions, I should have received a text or call to let me know that it was my turn. I never received any communication. I never saw a single staff member, except for the individual who unlocked the front door at opening. That person never said a single word to any of us waiting. read more

This place lost my blood that was drawn and then never answere their phone. The hospital that ordered the tests, and I spent a full day trying to get them to answer the phone so as to try to locate the blood, but no one answered our dozens of attempts to reach them, and the blood never arrived at the hospital. I do not intend to use this unreliable place ever again. read more

when u walk in you see, a tablet that asks you about your name and dob, sort of like signing in. I thought that was enough. Its not!! Its better to make an appt at home and then walk in. And even then you will have a wait of 15-20 minutes. We waited about 45 minutes before someone who came after us was called in. Then another person who came after us was called in, thats when i spoke to the lab tech who informed me that the people who have an appt. will go in first no matter how long i have been waiting for. Every time someone with an appt walks in we will get bumped. There is nothing informative in the office while you wait that warns you or suggests that you make an appt. so if its your first time be prepared to wait for 1hour and 15 minutes. Other then the wait the lab techs are very nice and friendly. The lab area was also clean. So overall its not a bad place unless you don't make an appt. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Staff is rude and should not be in the healthcare profession! We made an appointment 5 days in advance, arrived on time, I stayed outside while my husband went in as there were many people inside and others standing outside waiting. My husband is suffering from congestive heart failure and stage 4 cancer. There is no reception person - only a digital sign in station. He tried to sign in but failed to complete the sign in properly (apparently) - after 30 minutes of waiting he finally asked for help and was told that he didn't sign in correctly and he would now be treated as a "walk in" with no time frame for when he would receive service. At this point he left extremely agitated (bad for his heart) and I went in to try to talk to someone. I was told that he signed in incorrectly and that the mistake was "on him" and they would not honor our appointment. Staff was nasty, rude and unwilling to help in any way. It seems that this location is understaffed and the staff is severely stressed. Unfortunately it really shows. Stay far, far away if you want to be treated with the slightest courtesy and professionalism. You won't find good service here. Shame on you, Quest! read more

They are severely understaffed. Their techs are stressed due to it. Even though the website and the window of this location say walk ins are welcome, they aren't. Their phone system says if you are high risk you can come the first hour of the day. I was there a half hour before they opened. The woman was extremely rude and turned everyone away saying they are appointment only now. Then have that on your website, phone, and door!! I told them fine, don't bother with my bloodwork but I had tests I had to do at home. They gave me everything. Refused to give me directions on how to do a test I had to do 3 nights in a row. Told me to call the doctor for directions. Doctor was annoyed. Printed something from Quests website with directions. I go in today to drop things off. There are 3 staff members. Without getting into details one woman was sooo rude to everyone. RUDE! This is my first time ever dropping things off. They tell me to check in on the kiosk. It says 40 minute wait. Why? I'm just dropping stuff off!!! Then they wanted to do my bloodwork that they wouldn't do on Friday. I told them to Nevermind. Forget it. I'm going back to Bioreference. This was my first experience with Quest. NEVER AGAIN! I have always gone to Bioreference with never a problem. Quest should I not tell you walk ins welcome when they are not. This is an incredibly poorly run office. My issue is not with the employees that work there, it is a lack of having enough employees to make this an efficient office. I arrived with an appointment at 9:30. While using the automated sign in to register, the information in the computer was incorrect, there was no one in the front office to give this information to, so I waited 10 minutes before I saw an employee and told her that the automated sign in was not recognizing my name. She was overwhelmed with her own patients and told me she would return. After 15 minutes she did not return, I then bypassed the system using a different phone number, and now was registered as a walk-in. At 10:45 ( I've now been here for an hour and 15 minutes,) I am called in the back. I am told that they do not have my doctor's order, though it was faxed four days before. I am sent back to the waiting room to call my doctor who immediately faxes the order again. At 11:45 I am still waiting, I flag down the employee, she says it's still not there, I go into the office with her while dialing my doctor's office, and realize the fax machine is not even on. The employee is now on her hands and knees trying to get the fax machine to work. I have been in the office for 2 hours and 30 minutes; clearly I cannot trust this company to do a competent job. I walked out. Once in my car, I called LabCorp in Pomona, spoke to an actual human being, and had an incredibly professional experience. I truly felt sorry for the two lab techs that were there, they were doing their best to keep up with the flow while handling computer glitches, fax machines not working Etc. Save yourself hours of waiting, lost doctor's orders, and computer issues , or hope that they're just having a good day over there. read more
