I have been to this location forever and have ALWAYS had a good experience. Today 3/11/25 12:40 appt, I had the woman in the first or second room on the left. She stuck me in my arm and moved the needle around and couldn't get any blood. Then she went to my hand and proceeded to move the needle all around hurting my hand very much and still got no blood! To get your lab work completed and to get in and out in a timely manner, here's how it works, you have 1 of 3 choices: 1. You make an online appointment 7 to 14 days in advance for the time you want. 2. You arrive early in the morning (about 7:15 am), stand in a short line in the hallway until the office opens about 730 and then get in and out quickly. 3. You go in anytime you want and be prepared for a one hour, two hour or more visit. The ladies who work here have the daily drill of processing dozens and dozens of people who are hungry from fasting and want to be on their way quickly. I don't envy their job. If you don't have your paperwork in order, you will have to come back when you do. Sort of like the Army, you follow 100% of the rules 100 % of the time with no exceptions. Going to have blood work done is not my favorite thing and committing to a time and day is not as easy as it may seem. Fortunately the online system for making appointments is fairly user-friendly to navigate once you get the hang of it. If you need to fast, finding the earliest appointments is always a plus but also very tough to do. Those time slots get claimed quickly. Also, at this particular location, arriving early offers another incentive in that it seems to ensure a parking spot in the lot behind the building. As I left late morning, drivers were circling looking for vacant spaces. The system emails reminders and even a way to quickly check in upon arrival with the ease of a scan. Not so fast. The scan would not register so I keyed in the code. I was warned the wait time would be an hour if I did not have an appointment. I did have an appointment but the wait time was still nearly an hour. I received an online survey about my experience while I was still waiting. That was one survey I was happy to fill out and provide feedback. Once I was taken to the room for the blood draw, the process went smoothly and quickly and I was free to go. Couple of observations. Several folks I watched arrive used some sort of walker for support. The entrance door from the hall does not open automatically which made just getting inside difficult for them. Waiting can be maddening but knowing where you are on the wait list can at least assure you that progress being made. If there was some way to assign anonymous numbers and have an electronic message board that indicated what number was next or what numbers were coming up that would be really helpful. read more

I was amazed with the service I received at quest. I didn't have an appointment because I didn't realize my insurance was out of network with labcorp. I got to quest at 3:27p and was done by 3:45p. The ladies were quick and efficient and didn't have a bad attitude. The nurse that dos my lab draw was friendly as well. I have been in the past and waited for an hour but today I give all the ladies a big pat on the back. In and out and very cordial. Where's the button for zero stars? I just got back from Quest and today was the final straw. 1. My doctor ordered a test as soon as my medicine had run out (7days) So I went to the Quest web site on November 17 and made an appointment. I printed the confirmation. It was for 3:15 on November 24. All the other times were taken. So today, I fast all day for my 3:15 PM appointment and drive to Quest on Swann, (where the appointment was made) and they're freakin' closed. Locked doors. Adios. I should have known they couldn't get anything right. Previous reasons to hate Quest. 2. I always make an appointment. I have never been called at the time of my appointment. They don't care. I've heard excuses, "we're busy". There was only five people in the waiting room. Busy? Maybe busy doing their 5" nails. Why schedule appointments if you never keep them? I guaranty I'd get in just as slow without an appointment. 3. They have this new system for signing in now. A touch screen instead of the paper form. Okay. So I sign in and notice that on the TV has now a list of people ahead of me. Great! I'm #3 and it says the wait time is 8 minutes. Fantastic! Except 20 minutes later, my wait time changes to 5 minutes, another 10 minutes and it changes to 3 minutes!!! WTF? I asked why they post the wait times if it has no basis of reality? I was told, "We're having a problem with that." No, S**t. Your IT people can't tell time? 4. You'll either have someone competent drawing your blood or someone who yesterday worked at McDonalds. Once I left with a giant bruise because the tech wiggled the needle around trying to find my vein. "That's how they teach us to do it." WTF? (to be fair, most are good) 5. If you read a positive review here about Quest, I suspect it's fake. I hope they're giving my doctor a good kickback, because otherwise there's no reason for them to be in business. 6. I made an appointment on October 10 for an October 24th appointment for my prenatal bloodwork as I had the day off. When they called me back they advised they did not have the appropriate "tubes" and therefore could not complete my testing. I would recommend calling in advance to confirm they have the right equipment even if you have an appointment so you don't waste your time. How a place that takes blood doesn't have the right tools to complete blood testing is mind boggling. read more

I did not have an appointment, but arrived at 7:10 and was # 10 in line just before they opened. The office staff gave out orders for everyone to fill out the form, have your dr licence and insurance card ready. Then my credit card was swiped in case my insurance didn't cover all costs. The apppointment was over in about an hour. Not bad. The bad part was the pain involved drawing my blood! I have had blood work many, many times but never with so much pain. I had an appointment for 2:15pm on a Monday. I came in about 20 minutes early and signed in on the iPad. I was 3rd in line. I waited about 10 minutes and then they saw me to process my paperwork. I don't recommend this place for blood work. Although I made an appointment to 9 AM as per Quest's website recommendation in order to have a faster service, I had to wait 45 minutes! I arrived on time and did the check-in using their new autonomous service. What was even more disturbing, was the fact that several people arrived after me and they were taken care earlier than I. I had a great experience at this lab. Based on other reviews, I arrived early, before they opened. The employees were very friendly and respectful, and the service was fast! I did not have an appointment and I was done within 15 minutes of the clinic opening. The nurse who drew my blood did a great job--she was very gentle with the needle.
