Super easy check-in, clean seating area, bottled water provided, efficient and pleasant staff, and skilled phlebotomists (at least mine was!) Great location with plenty of parking. The check-in kiosk was super easy to use. The room for testing was clean and well lit. My phlebotomist patiently and pleasantly answered all my questions and then we had a great conversation about creole cooking. Very satisfied with visit. read more

My appointment was at 11:10am walked in the door at 11:10. Someone ahead of me was checking in. Ye know as an older gentleman and told me he was checking in as a walk in. So much obviously he was at the kiosk for a few minutes putting in all of their info and getting out his ID and insurance card. Once he finished I tried logging in I had my bar code ready but computer said I did not have appointment! I finally grabbed a tech after waiting 20 minutes and they took ok the walk in before me. The technician I spoke to said I was late so my appointment dropped off!! They saw me waiting behind the walk in so I wasn't technically late. The only answer she kept giving me was I have to take the name that comes up on the screen!! Provided more than one kiosk than if you're concerned about 6-8 minutes! They took every walk in and let me sit over two and a half hours! I had my QR code and was ready to check in standing in line! Some people take a few minutes at the kiosk especially if they are elderly! I wasn't going to rush the man ahead of me! The tech definitely saw me waiting in line so to say that I was late when you saw me waiting was RIDICULOUS! I wasn't late and to ignore me for TWO HOURS is unacceptable! I ask about every half hour and she would not tell even give me an estimate of how much longer I would have to wait! They took EVERYONE that came in after me appointment or not because I asked the people waiting. I was there at 11:15 and they took the 1:50 appointment before me! Next time I will knock it n the door if Kiosk is being used. If I didn't have an upcoming surgery soon I would have walked out! When is it ok for a medical facility to act childish and revengeful! They definitely saw me standing in line behind the gentleman who was a walk in. Petty and unprofessional. read more

Can't speak with an actual person. Sick people in small crowded waiting room. Self check-in kiosks don't acknowledge your appointment time. Workers with masks below their mouth and noses. If I didn't have to come here for pre-employment testing I wouldn't use this facility. read more

Got up early for appointment as it had snowed quite a bit. Called to make sure they were open and got a recorded message stating they were open. There was no option to speak with an actual person. Having an important procedure later in the week requiring the Quest blood work, I shoveled snow and made my way in only to find they were closed. As a senior citizen, I did not appreciate putting myself at risk only to find that Quest was not able to provide even the minimum customer service! read more

The absolutely worst healthcare business I have every dealt with Background - I've been going to the Quest in Thorndale, PA for a very long time, and have yet to have ONE pleasant experience. Needles - my veins are very small and they should therefore use a small needle by default (Phlebotomy 101). When I asked about the needle size, I was told that I have to tell them EACH TIME I come in that they need to use a small needle on me. I asked if they can add a note to my account about always using small needles, but they said NO. On the visit where they used the big needle, my arm was bruised for 2 weeks. On another recent visit, I was injected in 3 different places, and left there taped up everywhere, it was ridiculous! That phlebotomist had been there over 20 years (she even stated that she opened that Thorndale offic). I had to come back the next day to complete my blood work (hydration issues), but she also advised me NOT to take my blood pressure meds that night. BP meds - I called my doctor about that and the nurse said that that was the craziest thing she had ever heard. 20 years of experience, really? Billing - be warned that when they do the intake paperwork, they will sometimes tell you that you owe them an estimated amount, and they give you a bunch of credit card options for payment. DO NOT ever pay them a dime!! Say NO, BILL ME. Let them put the claim through to your insurance 1st. Only pay after your insurance has assessed what you owe. My labs are always covered at 100% by my insurance, and I never get billed a penny by my insurance after my visits to Quest. I made the mistake of paying them the estimate one time, that will never happen again! Also note that they won't ever voluntarily give you the option to bill you, but IT IS a valid option. I tell them that every time I go in and they don't ever push back/argue with me. Employees - they are very very unpleasant and rough. I am not sure if they hate their job, their employer, or both. They all complain about everything under the sun. Several have complained about issue such as; having to rush to open other offices in the same morning, being short staffed, the lab request from the doctor has too many pages (really?) Customer experience - the worse experience ever, and I have spoken to others who have visited other Quest labs, and they have shared similar feedback. Quest management, if you don't start treating your customers right, the Malvern, PA location will be the 1st of many to get closed. I have visited my last Quest lab this past week, and will be taking my business elsewhere starting next month. Location and convenience is just not enough anymore. read more
