Those taking drug tests, be forewarned. I reviewed this place a couple of weeks ago giving them a 3-star rating and I realize now it should have been 1 star and I'll tell you why. I came here to take a urine/drug test for my new job- a seamless process...or so I thought! I was supposed to start my job on 8/9 but my supervisor-to-be emailed me asking if we could postpone my start date until 8/23 indicating my drug test was taking longer then usual. Now I found it slightly odd that MY drug test could take "longer then usual" but okay. I thought nothing more of it until... Approximately 2 days ago I get an email from HR from my new job advising me the drug test was inconclusive, siting over-diluted urine. Now I found it very odd. I drink close to a gallon of water daily and have been for the past 7 years. This drug test was not my first go-around since I've taken about 4 drug tests within a 5 year period - all with no issues despite my excessive water-drinking habit. Yes it was odd but possible there was an issue. HR allowed me to take it again, so I rescheduled my drug test for the very next day. Once again, registering online through the Quest website was very easy and quick. I get to Quest and a nice lady named Kim calls me in to complete the drug test. Kim is very professional. She takes me to the restroom. She then unlocks a metal case in the restroom for me to put my pocketbook in. The first time I was there the lady that helped me told me to leave my pocketbook in the office and she locked the door so this process was different to me. After I peed in the cup, Kim immediately took my urine and poured it into 2 vials. She then told me to dispose of the rest of my urine in the toilet, flush and throw the cup out. None of that was done the first time I was there. Then, Kim took me back to the office where she put a sealed sticker onto each vial and had me initial each one. Again, none of this was done the first time. I told Kim none of that was done when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Kim seemed surprised. She said that was their strict procedure and if my initials were not on that seal, the test could not and would not go through. At this point I'm thinking someone...ahem...the employee I dealt with a couple of weeks ago must have messed up. Lastly, Kim printed a sheet of paper that had my information on it and other information pertinent to Quest. She ripped the bottom portion off and gave me the top. Again, didn't happen the first time I was there. The employee gave me the whole sheet of paper and I left. I believe Kim did everything she was supposed to do. Her patience and professionalism was most appreciated- 5 star appreciated but I can only give one star because of my first visit. I believe I will not be called back for an inconclusive test this time because it seems Kim did everything right. Not sure what happened the first time but I'm very upset to say the least. If my potential employer even suspected that I did something to tamper with my urine test, it's possible they may not have given me a second chance to take it again and I would have lost out on employment. Would I come back? Only if Quest could ensure Kim would assist me. I would not take a chance on coming back and risking employee errors at my expense. read more

Please do not come here. The staff is condescending and rude. The person who attended my mother had an attitude from the minute we walked in and got upset when I mentioned my mother had issues with her veins. While I waited for her another person got into an argument with a gentlemen waiting apparently he checked in as a number and not a name but they had an appointment. Just overall a bad experience, please go somewhere else if you can. read more

I came in for the antibody test and there was no one at the desk, but a sign that says to check-in at the kiosk. There was a hand sanitizer next to the kiosk. The check-in was super easy especially if you have the QR code from the email confirmation. Some seats were taped off to ensure social distancing. I barely sat for a minute before I was called. My temperature was taken and the bloodwork was quick. I was literally in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. The lady was pleasant and answered my general questions about the test. Parking outside is in the public parking lot right next to their building which you have to pay for but it's not too expensive. I paid $1.00 for 2 hours of parking (totally didn't need that much time). Keep in mind that Quest Diagnostic is on the 2nd floor! read more

A notice should be place and their system should be updated not to be able to register and sit as a standby and place where everyone can see. After sitting over and hour and seeing all the people before and new ones coming in and go and asking their employee that my name disappear from the standby list I'm told I need an appointment. I was horrified by this lab location. The bathroom was littered with paper and a used gown. There was no soap at the sink and the protocol for urine samples - which involved using a wipe - could not be followed because there were no wipes. When I asked a tech for wipes and soap(!), I was told not to follow the protocol they themselves had posted. "You don't need to do that," she shrugged. I also presume they routinely are in violation of HIPAA given how loudly I was asked personal medical questions by the receptionist in clear earshot of the waiting room. Finally I was given zero paperwork - or a ticket number which is required to look up my results. Just abysmal. read more

There's always a hiccup here. You complete and provide insurance information online and you are asked to provide again in person. Your lab work prescription isn't always here (not necessarily their fault) however upon arrival I asked the folks working in the back, specifically Wendy and a male worker to check if my prescription was there but they refused to even acknowledge if the script was there. Kimberly along with the other phlebotomist working the morning of 5/24 are the only saving grace. read more

While waiting in the waiting room with other patients , the receptionist yelling into the waiting room is anyone ready to pee..wtf.. but that's not all the tech takes your sample and she has gloves on and than gives you a pen to sign with. I said no thanks I have my own pen. I will be letting Quest headquarters know about this. read more

My daughter went there for drug screening for her clinicals, she has all paperwork/ receipt that she was there and specimen was collected. She called to follow up and they told her there's no record of her coming in. She even spoke to the supervisor, and they just hung up on her. WTF, she has the paper work. This location need to shut down. I give it 0 star, I don't think they need to operate. I just have to pick 1 star so the comment posts. read more

The Quest facility on Morris Ave in Union NJ is horrible. They only have two attendants and about 50 people in the waiting room. The attendant doing the registration was not the friendliest. Whenever someone ask her a question she would say she can't stop to answer questions because it is holding up the registration process for others. Unbelievable! I was there to get blood work done for my teenage son the day before and they told me in order to do the blood work he would have to fast. I decided to come back the next day which was a Saturday. She explained that Saturday's are really busy. If they knew this, why are there only two people working? I have been to other Quest locations and this one is the worst. They need to come up with a better and more efficient system that would benefit both the workers and the patients. There are people fasting all day in order to take the tests required. To have them sitting in a waiting room hungry and frustrated for hours is utterly unfair. read more

I was shocked at all the negative reviews this lab at Union, NJ has received. First, I want to state that I have been going to this lab for over two years now and they have been nothing but friendly and efficient. They have been able to get blood from my arm each and every time on the first try (other labs have poked me at least twice before they get my blood -- I have small veins and when I fast they get even smaller) and never leave a mark on my arm. I will say however that the last time I went there the bathroom was out of soap, but it was not dirty and did not have litter on the ground. I think the fact that people are doing more hand washing due to covid may be the reason for this. However, since I always carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer with me I used my sanitizer instead. Also, I have never heard any screaming or loudness in the waiting area and I am usually in and out within fifteen minutes. I usually go on line to make my appointments and I have never had a problem. read more

I am so shocked at the negative reviews. This was my first time at this Quest location and it was amazing. I was literally in and out. Shakema was so sweet and patient. I have at least three people who have gone to them for their bloodwork, and have nothing but positive things to say about how efficient this particular Quest is. Keep up the great work! read more

My doctor specified that my blood was to be taken at 8am with no stress, as stress could affect the blood results. I signed up for this appointment three weeks in advance because there were no other closer openings available. When I arrived for my appointment in Union, NJ, the doors were only open at 8:05 and there were about 10 to 12 people waiting while the staff who just came in was settling in. Most if not all of my compliments are both for, and about, Tara. I visited on November 30, 2017 around 2pm. Not only had I received the wrong forms from my doctor's staff (LabCorp paperwork), but I did not have an appointment either after being sent to the wrong place to get my bloodwork done. Tara went so far past my expectations that I wish I had more reasons to visit Quest Diagnostics. Regardless of the fact that my doctor had given me paperwork for LabCorp which is not in my insurance network, Tara didn't just send me away. Tara was warm, very friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and she still manages to be quick without rushing and so, so efficient. I wish there was a Tara in every customer service position that exists. She is a true, true jewel. Instead of turning me away she sat me down, asked my insurance company, and even offered to google the test codes if need be to be absolutely certain of what the LabCorp form said. She respected my fear of needles by asking if I was ready before pricking me which I genuinely appreciated her caring enough and taking the time to do. Tara also kept making sure that I was okay as she switched vials for collection, even teaching me a few things in the moments while we waited for them to fill. Beyond the excellent performance of Tara, the entire space at Quest was clean, pleasant and inviting. As someone with a strong fear of using public restrooms, the Quest restroom did not trigger me the way that 98% of restrooms do. All in all, my experience was exceptional. I wish I needed bloodwork more often just to get the star service Tara gives. If you're reading this, Tara, you are RARE and AMAZING!! read more
