I've been here numerous times to take my clients for routine blood work and have been here a few times myself. Overall it's not bad the receptionists have been cold but for the most the staff are helpful. Walk-ins are a go here which is good and the waiting area is a decent size compared to a lot of other clinics. Checking in has never been all that bad and as of writing this review they have kiosks now that check you in very quickly. Of course if your primary provider will do blood work go there but this Labcorp has always been a fairly smooth place to do it. read more

Terrible. The staff needs major training on how to work with people who have disabilities -- they were insulting and demeaning to my Autistic child. Additionally, the reception is left vacant for long periods of time and the drop-off process is confusing. The phlebotomist I saw BRUISED ME UP REAL BAD. When he cleaned the area on my arm, he went to feel for the vein again with his glove and then tried to stick me. I had to remind him to clean the area again before he stuck me. ALSO! The tourniquet was on my arm for like 4 minutes!!! And then finally he stuck me and still left the tourniquet on. Once blood was flowing, I had to remind him to take the tourniquet off! I knew I was going to bruise really bad. It's amazing how many phlebotomist's do their job wrong. You have to be on point with everything. No mistakes! I feel bad for the people who get their blood drawn with no knowledge of what a phlebotomist should and should not do. This is an important position! Never coming here again. He was also so quiet. Barely said a word. You are working with people. You are taking their blood. No empathy. read more

Yikes! This place is simply awful. The staff are poorly organized and they seem to want to actively minimize helping people and doing their job. I needed blood work and an employer-mandated pre hire drug screening. It should take 10, 15 minutes tops. I check in, there is no number or indication of what to do so I ask the front desk and they speak to me like I am the biggest nuisance. As I wait, multiple people who arrived and checked in after me got to go in first. By the time it was my turn the waiting room had turned from just me to half occupied. The phlebotomist was fine but their equipment was so old and the needle was unnecessarily large. I work with needles everyday as a health care provider, so I literally know all the sizes that they come in and what is needed. When I was done, I was waiting for the drug screen and after having no service or information, I ask the front desk and they pointed to the person who was supposed to help me. She saw me multiple times, didn't acknowledge me, and pretended to be busy with something that did not appear all that important (i.e. organizing some inventory). She finally gets to me and it literally takes only 3 minutes (meanwhile I waited like 20 minutes ) to get it done. At least they didn't lose my labwork! The staff here is so rude. I get there at 7am for routine blood work and although staff is inside, the doors are locked. Once they finish their morning chatter around 7:10am some broad swings the door open and walks away. I get called into the back and another broad (older African lady with short hair) who doesn't say hello, tell me what room to go to, crack a smile, or even give a head nod. I wanted to share how wonderful the staff were today at Labcorp. Yes there were lots of people there and its obvious that they were trying to serve everyone that came in. I did not have an appointment but waited patiently to be served. Individuals with appointments were prioritized. the phlebotomist was exceptional I think her name was Trenae. She was efficient, professional and toke my blood so quickly, I didn't know she was finished. Thank you everybody at Labcorp. Lets give people a little break folks. Do not go here! I watched as the technician took blood from one patient, walked over to my cubicle area to type on the keyboard, walked over to me and started to handle all the vials. I asked her if she was going to wash her hands or wear gloves and she said that she never wears gloves and insisted that her hands were clean. I told her I had just seen her with another patient and watched her type on the keyboard and never once did she wash her hands. She shook her head and insisted her hands were clean. Told her she couldn't come near me if she didn't wash her hands. She got up and left to help another patient. (Again, no hand washing involved!) The front desk lady was so rude and all of this happened after I had waited over an hour to be seen. Disgusting practices for a place that is supposed to be sanitary. read more

OOF. Waited 3 hours to get a drug screen. They go to lunch from 12-12:45. You just wait around and there's not much seating. Once you're inside, they don't let you use the restroom but outside in the waiting room, you can. Either they're short staffed or extremely slow. Same issue with union and Newark. This is where I go to get blood work, etc. - what you go to Labcorp for - and have been here many times. I am surprised by these negative reviews. So here's my take. First the building and parking lot are very oddly designed so allow yourself more time to park and get in, especially if you have not been here before. Second, Labcorp should invest in painting this facility. While it's clean, it is dingy. The staff is professional and know exactly what they are doing. The processes are well thought out and clear. I have shown up both with and without an appointment, including on Saturdays, without any problem. No one was rude. They aren't exactly friendly, but I am having blood drawn, not making a new best friend. Never had or seen a problem and any staff that can stick my little rabbit veins first time is fine in my book. read more

LabCorp is on the second floor of a really old and sketchy building. You will wait around 45 minutes to an hour. They are short staffed!

Woman at front desk should be fired, she barely speaks English and is the nastiest woman I've ever met. 3 different people walked in and back out while I was there because of her. All she does is yell at you incoherently and tell you register. She didn't answer any of my questions and to be honest I think she was drunk or under the influence of something. Ms. Jennifer and Ms. April were very professional, patient, and friendly. Smooth and easy check in and no wait. These women were great with my kids especially my 5 year old son who refused to get blood drawn and even with him kicking and screaming both women were still able to draw his blood. Wow I will never return to this location! I went in for a drug test for a new job I am applying to at a YMCA. I checked in at 1:42pm and there was no one else in the waiting room. I sat there until 1:55pm when I got called up. The girl at the check in counter told me I would have to come back because they stop conducting the drug screenings at 2:00pm. If her tone with me had been different I would not be writing this review but her attitude was unacceptable! I tried to explain to her that I had been waiting for 15 minutes (how long does a test like that take?) and asked why the screenings finished at 2:00pm. Her response was belittling and berating. Upon exiting I did see the drug screening hours were listed on the door but I still did not understand why I couldn't do the test that day since it was still before 2:00pm and there was no one else there. I went back the next day at noon to make sure I was within the window. I was so relieved to see a boy at the counter rather than the girl who had such a bad attitude. I waited for nearly 30 minutes, again no one was in the waiting room. Finally I got called up to go back. I proceeded to go through the door when the boy stopped me and told me I couldn't go back with my 6 month old daughter for fear I would be falsifying the test. I asked what people do and he said "I don't know, leave her out here or with someone else." I understand the policy however it was not posted anywhere (he said it should be posted but the sign must have fallen off) and again his attitude was despicable. The workers seem to have no customer service skills. I decided to forgo the drug test since I would be out of the mandatory 48 hour window if I went back the next day. I will gladly drive a little further to the Westfield location from now on!!! read more

Never again! There's nothing like entering a filthy space to have blood drawn. You already feel grossed out and consider walking back out. I stayed because I have to have this blood work done today. Once inside, a woman barked for me to sit down. I rolled up my sleeves and held out both arms (a pro at this, after having blood drawn every few weeks due to thyroid cancer for the past 10 months). I saw her starting to go for the biggest vein and asked her to please use any one but that one because it got so much use the first few months that it now kills if used. (Most technicians who are skilled prefer not to use a huge vein anyway because it can roll and they know it hurts more.). This woman raised her eyebrows, made a face and tied the rubber around my other arm. My inner monologue started cussing in alarm. You don't want a grumpy, rude person to come at you with a needle. I closed my eyes, put one hand on my gigantic stomach to distract myself with something cheerful and then felt what seemed more like a shot than a blood draw. She went so deep! And then came the digging around. I wanted to vomit. She told me twice to keep my arm still or she would poke me again. I opened my eyes to peek at my arm and see if I was somehow involuntarily thrashing it about. Nope. It was completely still. The same way it is every single time I get blood drawn. I just breathed slowly and waited while she continued to push harder and move it more. After at least a minute she was finally done and oh-so-gently (false) said "You can go now." I resisted the urge to pick up the needle and jab it deep into HER arm and do the hokey pokey inside and instead simply walked out. I haven't been too emotional this pregnancy, but I burst into tears as soon as I got back to the car. I will never step foot in there again. And I really hope karma is real. read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. I typically go to a different Labcorp- but this one was closer to where I needed to go. The place is a dump. The building is run down and the actual office seems dingy. They wear paper lab coats in this place. What's that about? Not to mention I've had bloodwork done several times in the last month and never left any other place bleeding & bruised from two little vials of blood. I had such a disturbing experience that I'm going to complain to my insurance company. This place is just the worst. Go anywhere else. read more

I suffered a hematoma in my arm due to an inexperienced phlebotomist (or maybe just a bad one but I like to give them the benefit of the doubt). Ended up in ER (no, seriously) because PCP thought it was a clot and sent me from her office. To add insult to injury, they sent the results to the absolute wrong Doctor.... Like one I had never seen before. Even though my PCP was clearly indicated on the form. Awful awful. read more

The employees in this place do not practice infection control . They all walk around with gloves on which they should all know not to do. I saw an employee take blood from a man and went straight to the next room without taking the dirty gloves off to wash her hands. I just couldn't believe my eyes. one of the employees took a urine sample from a client , with the same pair of gloves that she handled the urine cup , she wrote on the receipt while holding the urine cup, and handed the client her receipt. As I was sitting there watching all those things going on, I was saying to myself either they don't care or they don't know. You would think that with everything that's going on in the world right now with the coronavirus and every other diseases that can be transmitted from either mishandling a sample or not washing your hands that people would be more careful, I guess not. And the fact that I was able to see so many things in just about15 minutes really blew my mind. Hopefully, LabCorp will read this review and retrained their employees. By the way, this is the first time that I ever write a review about any business, so it's not because I'm picky, I'm just concerned. read more

Wow please do not go here! But if you must.. Be prepared to be hunting for a parking spot in the parking lot for quite some time. I would suggest just parking on the side street right off of millburn ave closest to the building. The building is disgusting inside and there is no directory. I figured the suite was on the 2nd floor so I went up. After looking around for 203 I realized it must have been the one with the open door. Alas, it was! Horrible experience. I've been getting blood drawn/labs done for 15+ years now, and this is the worst lab ever. Besides seeming impersonal and barely interested in their jobs or me, they also seemed incompetent. The phlebotomist jammed the needle into my arm without warning and after four days there was still a black and blue mark. Normally after labs I can't even see where the needle went in by the end of the day. Then, apparently, they faxed my results to the wrong number, so I had make calls (and be put on hold waiting to talk to someone). It may just be a problem with this location, but I won't be using this company again. read more

I was in and out on 15 minutes and it would have been quicker if I didn't have to fill out forms for "the first time". Possibly it helped that no other clients were there when I arrived at 7:20AM. Sabrina, the phlebotomist, has such an engaging smile that I didn't even feel the needle piercing through my skin (ok, I did feel it but ...).
