Just a lonely tablet check-in that screams, "Welcome to Hell!" Arriving 10 minutes late was apparently the equivalent of committing a felony. I lost my place in line and had the pleasure of waiting over an hour. And for what, you ask? To drop off a literal bottle of shit. Yes, a stool sample. When I finally got called into the testing room, the fun really began. Despite having already entered my info into the godforsaken tablet, the staff had to reenter everything. What's the point of the tablet, then? Decoration? And let's talk about the staff's personalities - about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. They couldn't care less about you or your time. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. I'd rather wrestle a crocodile than deal with Quest Diagnostics again. read more

In reality this should be a zero-star review, but as there is no option for that I have selected a 1-star. I have had several horrible experiences with this Quest location and today was probably the worst. There is a consistent lack of care for customers' time, rude staff, dirty facilities, and inept management. This is not a new problem and I have previously reported this location to Quest management prior to the pandemic. For starters, there is inadequate signage or any clear notification as to their Covid protocols and procedures, only faded, hand written notes on the door. We are over 6-months into a pandemic and yet you cannot even print up official, coherent signs? There are no updates given as to wait times, who is next in line, etc. You get better service and more details at a supermarket deli counter (and yet we entrust this company to take our blood and detailed personal information?). This is poor management and lack of care for customers. I waited outside for close to an hour, others were waiting for almost 2-hours by the time I left. When I left I immediately phoned the area manager (Nancy Kelskey) who proceeded to tell me I was wrong, that others waiting for 2-hours were exaggerating, and that I was "yelling" at her. No, I was not yelling Nancy, but perhaps you need to change your attitude about customer service. You and I have discussed these issues before and as we can all read in these reviews and comments. These are ongoing issues at this and other area Quest locations. Dirty, from the front door on. Broken blinds in the windows, ragged signs and peeling layers of tape on the front door. Dirty carpet, filthy bathroom, disinterested staff and the atmosphere of a methadone clinic inside. Their system for such a small facility should be to take a phone number and call you from the car when you are ready to be seen, but instead they have seating arranged for a maximum of 4 people in the waiting room, which leads to people outside making multiple confused trips to the front door as other people leave, only to find the waiting room still full. Asinine, and absolutely unacceptable. Manager should be retrained and so should that persons manager for 2 steps up the line. This is what you get when you run on a shoestring budget. read more

Asked a worker where the bathroom was and said "I don't know" and turned back down to his phone and chuckled. everybody else in the waiting room had been waiting for over an hour as well. We must have hit a sweet spot in the schedule because without an appointment we waited about 5 minutes, which was great. The purpose of my post though is to compliment our technician Brenda. My daughter was nervous to have blood drawn but Brenda was so calm and cool. Didn't make a big deal and communicated everything to my daughter. She was just the right amount of calm and wit we needed. She also did such a fabulous job my daughter didn't even flinch. read more

The technician was nice but I felt bad that she was also the receptionist and took care of the paperwork. People knock on the door and get frustrated because they don't realize that the technician is drawing blood and can't answer. This lab needs to hire a receptionist and a cleaning company. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Do not use this location, save your self the headache and go somewhere else. I have had nothing be terrible encounters with the rude staff here. Especially "Nancy G". Today my boyfriend needed to get a drug test done, we had an 11:30 appointment, didnt get seen until 11:45. Then he couldnt provide enough so they wanted him to retest. We sat in the waiting room for an hour. The nasty woman came out and said shes going to lunch and we need to wait till she gets back (which would be another 45 minutes). I scheduled an appointment for 3:30, arrived at 3:15, checked in & didn't receive a text, walked in at 3:40, checked in AGAIN, no employees in front office to talk to, just an ipad, and two people were in front of me as the screen said I was a "walk-in" meanwhile I had an appointment. Someone should advise Quest staff drawing blood is a confidential medical procedure requiring privacy in the draw room, not to have the door to the draw room and the outer door open to view of patients in the waiting room. The patient was clearly visible and conversation with the staff member audible. read more

Staff was "VERY NASTY" facilities were understaffed, small and looked rundown. Went in to leave a urine sample to be analyzed. The "NASTY" staff" told me I didn't leave enough specimen when I did. The "NASTY" staff then hand another specimen cup and told to go home, that they had other patient to deal with before they left for lunch. As I was walking out of the facility the "NASTY" staff ran out after me and grabbed me urine specimen out of my hands. read more

I just left quest diagnostic office in Wading River. I had a very poor experience. I needed a drug test for nursing school and the slip expired at 6pm. So when the door opened because there is no reception, I said, "excuse me". I just wanted to ask If I am going to be seen before my slip expires I have a 5:15 appointment. The person said, I have no idea with an attitude. How do I know how long each person is going to take. Other people in office could not believe what they heard and her bad attitude. When I was called in the lab tech did not introduced herself. When told to lock my bag up in the box, I said, it does not fit. She said, Make it fit! I just left my bag outside the bathroom. Her name was on my slip when I left because she had to sign it, JILL GAROFOLO. Do not go there. Manager phone number on wall, I called to file complaint, mail box is full. That says it all.
