I knew we could not get to work next morning or any other place with that bad of a flat. I have an air compressor in my garage and started to inflate the tire. Once inflated, I drove to Walmart and by the I got there it was utterly flat again. Why did I choose Walmart Auto Care to take care of this problem? Simple they were the only ones that were open in town on a Sunday. I walked in and there were two other people in the auto care center waiting to be helped. After the guy started having their vehicles taken care of, I told him about my problem. I told him about the flat, and the fact I may need at least one new tire. He went to look at my vehicle to confirm and he said yes you definitely need that one, he checked the other tires and found another one was damaged and needed replacing... it just wasn't as bad as the other one. Yay! More money! In the end it wasn't that bad of a cost considering, still it was an unexpected expense during the holidays. While they were changing my tires, I did some needed grocery shopping, so it is not like I wasted my time waiting. In the end, I was thankful Walmart Auto Care Center was open on a Sunday, and allowed me the convenience to get my grocery shopping done while my problem was taken care of. Now they have changed managers and nobody seems to be in any hurry or have any clue about teamwork, or how to get vehicles in and out quickly. if you're planning on getting an oil change at this location, please give yourself at least an hour and a half. Wait time before you even get into the bay. Then you're looking at possibly another 45 minutes for a simple oil change. The crew that they have on staff at this time seems in adequate and on educated about the procedures required to perform an oil change in the 15 minutes that Valvoline states it should take. I would not recommend coming here unless you have half a day to get an oil change. The staff, as I said, seems completely inadequate for the services that you're looking for. My experience has been that the staff even asked me what kind of oil my vehicle took, that the dipstick was difficult to return back into the dipstick tube, and if I knew the type of oil filter required for my vehicle. We stopped in and asked them to take a look, and they were able to quickly figure out what the issue was and help us figure out a solution. They had the kind of oil we needed to top us off and most places don't carry it. They even called 3 local parts stores trying to help us find the cap we needed, which Valvoline cracked when they over-tightened it. They never called we had to call them and when we did they said "o yeah they got here yesterday". I was then told they needed the car over night to get the tires on. I don't know why it takes so long but any other place I have taken it to does it in a couple of hours. Then when they come to take the car they finally tell me that some of their machines are not working and I will have to take it to another place to get it finished. The price for each tire was 87.50 for each tire out the door (mount, balance and alignmen). they put two tires on and gave me two but still charged me for the mount and alignment for all the tires. If they treat the cars how they treat their shop I would never go their again.
