He took my key that was pretty beaten up , at this point my key was locking and unlocking and also faulty at times , I'd have to put my hand on the handle with the key on me in order for the door to open , and have to depend on the locks on my door panel to lock my doors . My key is a push to start key fob .My vehicle is a 2016 Ford Explorer.I had the original key , since 2016. My center button never worked when I received the key from the original owner. The center button I'm talking about is the 2x button that starts the car before entering . ( reason why I mentioned it was because after receiving both of my keys back my new key also didn't function, it isn't too bad because I never had that function work for me so it wasn't a huge deal for me ) . I will definitely circle back and ask , maybe something can be done or maybe it's something else I'm unaware about ). Prior to contracting Mr. Q I took the initiative to order the correct key for my vehicle through Amazon . It was about 40$ , I ordered it awhile back . He gave me a price that I couldn't refuse . Extremely competitive price! In comparison to Dealer , Costco , even Home Depot makes these key fobs for these vehicles. I was quoted nothing less than 250$ and upwards of 400-500 from the dealer ! I came to yelp and even on here he had the most affordable deal. He let me know if there's no way I can go to the shop he could come to me , at an additional service fee. If you're able to go to the shop he will give you a better deal. Thankfully I was able to go to his shop that was 15 mins away. He communicated well and was flexible . When I I arrived I thought his location was one of the front offices but it's actually located behind , there are several other businesses there . His location was easy to find . It's off of N.Florida Ave , the street name is W Seneca Ave. right in front of the Lincoln Dealership.. there's a Cuban restaurant on the corner. Upon arrival he greeted me , I did ask about payment options . He accepts CashApp , Zelle, card and cash . Preferred payment is Zelle or Cash seeing as how he's an upcoming business and the card transactions are steep . I paid with Zelle . Fast and easy . Time arrival was 11:50 am and I was out the door by 12:10 , I was pleased with the service time . Overall was satisfied with pricing , service and value - minus the center button not working still .. my car turns on , my doors lock and open and my truck button works ! I'm happy . I was a bit skeptical seeing as how there were no reviews but I'm so glad I did confirm the appointment. I also asked if for some reason my key stopped working he assured me that it wouldn't ,but if something does happen he would definitely have warranty to come back and get it fixed .
