This guy saved my hide today and I am very grateful. Broke my key off in the door of my truck with no spare I was pretty SOL. I called the crook known as Island Locksmith and after he tried to charge me a small fortune and my first born child and eventually hung up on me because I called him on being a cheat. Outstanding Service! My keys were stolen, and I was distraught about the safety of my house. I called him and he came within the hour to change my locks. He also gave me a great price to make a new chipped key for my car. which the dealership charge over $200 for! Also, while he was in my home he noticed that one of my door knobs were loose and he went out of his way to get a screwdriver to tighten it for me. Dennis came to my house in Hayward to remove my hopelessly stuck key from my vehicle ignition. He seemed well prepared and had a get-it-done attitude. He arrived on time, as promised, although it was after 6pm and he had two more calls after mine. He quoted me $180 over the phone but charged $140 including parts, to replace the failed lock cylinder with a generic brand he had in his work van. He had it done in under an hour. My only key for my car Rita broke in half in my trunk. My first reaction was to call the dealership and have them make a new key, well an hour later made the key went back to the car and....nothing!!! So the dealership said that someone changed the locks in the car and the best thing to do was call the locksmith. Nothing is worse than that dread that drops into the pit of your stomach like a rock when you realize you've just locked yourself out. And nothing is better than seeing the locksmith van pull up not ten minutes later. QR Locksmith was super quick, very efficient (had the door open in less than a minute) and was even able to make duplicate backup keys in the van on the spot, which saved me from an errand I was promising myself I'd make later that day. The service was on the expensive side ($70) and he was not able to process credit cards that day (thank god I had someone with me who had cash on hand, or we might have had a problem), but none of that matters very much when someone is willing and able to drop everything to get you out of a bind. I have a "custom" french door set from a crappy company that is under investigation (ALL BRAND WINDOWS). So I locked my car outside my Car.... I know dumb.. so I went ahead and tried to find the nearest locksmith near my house and Quick Respond pops up so I said why not. What I didn't know was that his company is actually based in Hayward but nonetheless he got to me in 30 minutes, which is reasonable for every locksmith. I asked him about making me a spare key and he did it in his van after he got my key out! it cost me 90 dollars to make a spare key for my car because there is a chip inside so its all good.
