I hadn't been here in forever after a not-so-great first impression, but my brother swore it had gotten better--so I gave it a second shot. It's in the same plaza as Kroger, with tons of parking (love that for us). Right when I walked in, I saw a sign for a chicken steak + fries combo for $8.49--like what even is chicken steak?? The cashier said it's basically fried chicken breast with seasoning, so I was like "Bet, let's try it spicy!" My bro's a regular, so he went all in with super spicy chicken nuggets, fried tofu, and a strawberry smoothie. I grabbed the Logan green tea with aloe vera--yes, I was feelin' fancy. Now let's talk food--'cause BABYYY, they came to impress this time: * Fried tofu - 10/10: Soft inside, crispy outside, seasoned to perfection. And with that spicy mayo? Insane. * Chicken nuggets - 10/10: Super spicy, full of flavor, and the portion size? MASSIVE. Fire. * Chicken steak & fries - 8/10: Gave katsu vibes. Juicy, crunchy, dipped in that spicy mayo = YES. Fries were mid, but I wasn't mad at it. * Logan green tea w/ aloe - So nostalgic. If you know, you know. Sweetness was perfect and the aloe? Refreshing with a lil texture. The vibe inside? Cute, cozy little booths, chill spot to hang with friends or study. Not super IG-worthy, but still cute and lowkey. Only downside? The cashier was kinda dry. I asked for recs and she gave bare minimum energy--but hey, maybe she was having a long day. Overall? I came here on a Saturday for an early lunch sharing a popcorn chicken and french fry. Since I had plans to eat later in the day, I wish I had space to put more of this freshly fried goodness in. The chicken was tender and fried with basil leaves. French fries were my favorite types. I got their oolong milk tea with boba with was decent but could have been better if my boba wasn't one giant ball stuck together. The place it a little darker and dated compare to most other boba shops but there is plenty of space to hangout at. Staff were nice and provided extra sauce upon request. Would come again. read more

To start off I am very disappointed, I have been going to quicklys for the honey lemon green tea drink for more than a year now and I get rainbow jelly and crystal boba for the toppings each time. Today, I came in and there were black particles that looked like mold in my drink. Due to the light colored/transparent toppings that I chose and the lack of anything dark that could be included in the liquid part of the drink itself, it seems unlikely that it could be from that. I have never had these particles in my drink before, and I get the same order each time I go. Highly disappointed with this. read more

I thought Quickly's was supposed to be known as the most inexpensive boba in the area, but I guess not! I got a small lychee green tea with lychee jelly. There wasn't much lychee jelly, and the flavor was pretty mid. I saw that they had an extra large size, which was humongous if that's what you're looking for. The menu is huge (spans two walls) so if you want a quick meal (the chicken nuggets smelled good), this could be a good spot! There are a good amount of tables inside, plus free wifi, but the music is a little distracting/loud and the lighting is quite dark. Parking shouldn't be an issue! read more

Honestly, I don't know about other people's experience but I LOVE Quickly. They are the only store that offers XL drinks at a reasonable price. Nowadays certain boba stores charge you $8-9 for a mere 16 oz. drink (which is the average size). However Quickly offers 24 oz. (or was it 36 oz.?) for cheaper. With their broad menu selection of drinks (slushies, fruit teas, milk teas) and snacks (octopus balls, spicy chicken nuggets), Quickly will always have a special place in my heart. read more

Quickly will always be my first choice if I need a quick low budget boba tea for to go. Don't expect they will taste like those $7 or $8 boba tea out there, but surely can satisfy you with their portions and food choices! I usually order the popcorn chicken and corn nuggets along with a drink. Their popcorn chicken never overcooked and remain tender and flavorful, which is amazing with the price they offer! The place was hot and empty but my brother swears it fills up during the day. This is one of his favorite places for drinks and chicken nuggets. We were in need of something refreshing after a fairly heavy lunch and dipped into Quickly. We ordered a large honeydew smoothie and the taiwanese popcorn chicken. The honeydew smoothie was a tad on the sweet side but tasted exactly like melona in a drink! Super yummy and large in size- perfect for sharing. The real star was the popcorn chicken though! Super tender and flavorful and made fresh to order. Not to mention- massive portion. We split it among the three of us and there were still leftovers. Exactly what it is -- a three star boba joint. Quickly is one of the OG bubble tea places in ATL, but with all these new joints that have joined the competition, Quickly has fallen off the competition range. I always go just to order chicken nuggets bc they do have some of the best chicken nuggets. When I went in, the cashier just ignored me so basically I was standing there for a solid 5 minutes. She seemed busy making other drinks so I completely understand, but a "Just a moment please" would have probably earned this store one more star. This place has great food and fast service. Today on a Wednesday around nine in the evening, I went because I wanted Taiwanese chicken nuggets even though I was trying to lay off fried food. The chicken smelled so great but when I began to eat it, I found many of my Pieces with had lots of cartilage or were burnt. I know this isn't usual but it was what it was. This was an OG boba tea shop for me growing up before the whole craze/explosion of bubble tea places. This is a dear one in my heart. Speaking of explosion, their chicken nuggets are bomb af. Avocado smoothie very much on the sweet side and the smoothie has a lot of ice pieces in it so it's not a smoothie texture exactly and the ice tastes old like the machine maker hasn't been cleaned in a while. With the smoothie being so sweet it would have been nice to have been asked did I want sweetener in it. I was wanting it as a healthy treat. My family and I love the snacks here especially the octopus balls, fish balls, and chicken nuggets. We've tried their mozzarella sticks, fries, fried oysters, and fish cakes before. We like the 5 spice flavor they use and we ask for everything spicy! I like that they use paper bags and wooden sticks for the snacks. The taro milk tea flavor is just right. I usually order a jasmine milk tea with egg pudding because I love the bitter taste of the tea but also with refreshing egg pudding. The drinks are pretty much meh tasting. Haven't been to Quickly in a minute, but remembering it was good and one of the only spots in the area open that late (11pm) I decided to go. I ordered spicy fried tofu and a jasmine green tea boba. For paying $5 for the tofu, you get a relatively decent amount but the tofu is not good whatsoever. There's not an ounce of flavor or even salt. We tried dipping it in some sriracha and ketchup, but we couldn't save it. Wouldn't recommend anyone to get it and will not be getting in the future. The boba was pretty soft, sweet and honey like, the drink was strong but nothing extraordinary... just your average boba tea. The staff were alright, definitely overwhelmed with the line of people. The inside of Quickly is pretty bleak and depressing, the only interesting and lively thing about it is the fish tank. Not to mention the table and floors were a MESS. Everything was so sticky and full of crumbs there was not a single spot except for the "bar" table that was even remotely clean. Most people ended up just taking their food and leaving. I frequent this quicklys often as I live down the street from it. I've been coming here for years! The interior seats about 50 people. Its not that big in size but it is always packed late at night! You can't beat quickly's late night snacks and drinks- the menu is YUMMY. The food is always good. I always order mozzarella sticks, octopus balls, French fries, butterfly shrimp or chicken nuggets! Then you HAVE to get boba! I love the Thai tea or the taro tea! There is a 10$ minimum on all card purchases, so make sure you bring some cash if you're not going to buy much. The service is very quick but I've never had an issue. The food comes out pretty fast even when they are busy. They offer free wifi so during the day this can be an ideal studying spot or just a hang out spot with your friends! They open their doors at 12 pm and close at 12 am. The food and drinks are all pretty cheap 2.75 for a small and 3.75 for a large! They also carry an Xlarge size, which is really big. Final verdict: quicklys has had my business for years and will continue to! They are by far my favorite place for milk tea, the taste is perfect here! This is still one of my go-to spots for Taiwanese chicken nuggets: spicy, slightly sweet, with a hint of 5 spice seasoning. So satisfying every time. The prices are good too, however I was never a fan of the minimum amount of $ you had to spend if you use a card. I never carry cash. So I always ordered extra. I've tried the corn nuggets, french fries, fish balls, fish cake, octopus balls, etc. over the years. Fried snack food galore. Their menu has definitely expanded throughout time. If you're wondering where the husband and wife duo at the Quickly on Buford Highway have been, they've been up in Duluth, working feverishly at the grand opening of this new Quickly location on Old Norcross Road. This Quickly is located in a shopping center at the corner of Old Norcross Road and Steve Reynolds Blvd, in the same building as Amazing Burger! I'm a huge fan of the Quickly on Buford Highway so I was interested in checking out this new Quickly when I heard about it. Unfortunately, as is not uncommon at most grand openings, the new Quickly still has a lot of kinks to work out. These are mainly service-related. I visited last night (Friday) around 8pm and the store was hopping, mostly with teenagers. The first thing you'll notice about this Quickly is they have a full kitchen. Above the counter is the familiar bubble tea, smoothies, etc. drink menu. Next to the door, they have several paper menus. One side of the menu has the drinks. The other side has all sorts of food. The food items include the fried goodies many have grown to love at the BuHi location: chicken nuggets, fish cakes, octopus balls, etc. The other foods include fried rice, stir-fried noodles, and several different types of noodle soups (listed under the "ramen noodle" section). They even have Chinese clay pots and brown sugar shaved ice! With the bigger restaurant space and expanded menu, you'd think they'd accept cards at this location, but they don't. It's still cash only. At least they have good pricing, some of the best for bubble tea, especially considering the quality. Having just eaten dinner, I just got a drink and snack (octopus balls). I decided to get something different and try their sesame milk slush with tapioca pearls. I'm going to be honest and say that while the servers were cute and friendly, the service was downright horrible. It took me almost 20 minutes to get my bubble tea and there were only three people in front of me. This new Quickly has designated "order" and "pick up" areas, yet no one, including the employees, seemed to be following this simple process. At the "Order Here" window, I placed my order for one small sesame milk slush and one order of octopus balls. The girl didn't even ask me to pay, so I sat and waited. And waited. And waited... After maybe 10 minutes, I went up to the counter and asked where my order was and the girls completely forgot and I had to re-order. A few minutes later, one of them asked me, "what size did you want again?" I was then incorrectly called up to the counter for a double order of chicken nuggets which weren't mine. Wow. Fail. When I finally got everything I actually ordered, the girl behind the window was very apologetic and understood they had screwed up. Oh yeah, and I had to remind them *twice* that I still hadn't paid for anything. I basically had to force my way to the register so I could pay them. It was a huge cluster****. All this commotion and confusion and there were at least 10 people working. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm usually not this critical in my reviews, but I also have to comment on their counter setup. It's very inefficient. If I was the owner, I'd change it. As soon as you enter, you're right in front of the ordering window. If a line forms, it naturally goes straight back out the door. There's really no space for a line to form, so instead, no real line forms and people just kind of wait where they want. This design was part of the reason for the backup and confusion. This is going to continue to cause a lot of problems when the store gets busy. As for the sesame milk slush and octopus balls, they were OK. The slush was not very slushy until the end of the drink and at that point, it was flavorless ice. The drink was mostly like having milk tea with the texture of ground sesame seeds. The tapioca pearls were the large, fresh, and chewy pearls we've come to know from Quickly. I got the octopus balls spicy and they had the same yummy (and salty) seasoning on them. Once this new Quickly gets its service issues worked out, I'm sure it will be a good destination for bubble tea and snacks in Duluth. My experience wasn't good, but I know they're better than that. In the meantime, I'm going to stick by my favorite Quickly on Buford Highway. It's much closer to me anyway. read more

One of my go to places for the spicy chicken nuggets and fish tofu. Very good and they give you a good portion too. I don't recommend staying here to hang out; I usually get it to go.. I believe they have a credit card minimum too so I would bring cash if you aren't ordering much. The teas are better than Sweethut but not as good as Kung Fu Tea in my opinion. This is my favorite Quickly location in Atlanta for a few reasons: 1.Reminds me of a video game arcade from the 80's, mostly due to the purple multi-colored carpet and décor. 2. The employees are behind bullet proof glass, so you feel like you are living on the wild side. 3. The Black Milk tea with pudding, grass jelly, and boba tastes the same as it does in Queens. For me, that takes me to another place and time. 4. The Basil Fried Chicken nuggets and Taiwanese sausage are delicious. 5. I could sit here for hours. 6. I have had a love-hate relationship with this location since the first time I came here. The last time I was here though, and the last few times I was here... The entire place kind of had an odd smell, almost like a bathroom... (As indirect as I can be in referring to the bathroom smell)... This is a cash-only establishment (after $10 I believe, then they will accept card). I've always loved their chicken nuggets, which are fresh and fragrant. It takes a while to make... but I prefer that to nuggets that aren't fresh. The bubble teas are a hit or miss. The almond milk tea is a no-no. When making milk tea, you CANNOT mix powder into a tea without dissolving the powder in hot water first. Easy as that. And even if that's just the consistency of almond milk...? I really just dislike that grainy feeling going down my throat. Gross. Also, it's way too sweet... not like this at all other bubble tea shops. On the other hand, I love the jasmine milk tea and the fruit teas (passion fruit, lychee, mango) although I'm sure those are just syrup mixed with black/green tea. I think this is currently the cheapest bubble tea in town. But unfortunately, it seems like it's also the cheapest experience overall. If I were to pick up to go, in an in-and-out fashion, that would be fine. I don't come here as often as I go to Boba Mocha (best in the Duluth area so far that I have discovered, at least, although I have yet to try ChaTime), and I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
