Quiet Trees is Amazing. I really enjoy the customer service. Top shelf flower is of the best quality. Not to mention the owner is very educated on his product. And takes pride in what he does. You can get a lot of different CBD and THC A products. I don't go to the dispensary in KCMO anymore. He delivers to local residents. Anyway check them out. There awesome. read more

I like Natural Grocers in Lawrence. It's my new GoTo store for health food items. The store is…read moreclean and easy to find things. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have an AMAZING vitamin and supplement section. The downside is it is small store and selection is limited. I do think they make the best use of their space. I am sure they can special order. The prices are not too high and it just has a nice vibe. There is no way you could really grocery shop here, though. This store is good for picking up a few items. For their small size, they have a nice bulk department, too. I will say that I may be biased because there is a local natural store here in town that I dislike immensely. When NG came to town, they were a breath of fresh air. We had another choice for naturals finally. I was freed from COOPerating with the other store. One suggestion for the store is to train their staff better. They are helpful and friendly but, a few newbies are not as educated about some products. One staffer had no clue what supplement I was needing but I went right to the product. I showed it to the staffer. I explained to her the supplement was and how it worked. She appreciated the education. Haven't run into that too much at this store, though. Today I was there and the staffer helping me knew a great deal about the products. She even showed me a less expensive product that would work better than the more expensive one I was considering. Bottom line- great store, competitive prices, small and friendly. I do find great irony, though, that's Burger King was leveled to build this store. LOL.

This antique mall is stuffed full of vendors, unique finds, and all of your antique shopping dreams. They have such a fun layout with four floors. You could wander around for hours. If you are coming in with a large bag/purse they will ask you at the door to lock it in one of the lockers. So keep that in mind when stopping by! The plus side is that it's a really neat antique mall with tons to look at. It's fun to browse and they have a massive selection! Also! I was scrutinizing everything carefully and as far as I can tell, there is zero AI-generated imagery in here from the booth owners or the antique mall itself! No crappy tumblers or 3D-printed dice towers either. That was very pleasing to find. It's a worthy stop if you're fond of days gone by but don't expect to find bargains here.

They have multiple drink vendors including coffee, boba tea, mocktails, cocktails, and beer. There is also a variety of food options from pizza, to sandwiches, to Asian noodles, Pakistani, African, breakfast foods, and donuts. I've only visited a few of the vendors but all have been friendly and service was great. Value is in line with what you see at other similar restaurants. The market is kid friendly and they have lots of games that you can play. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Everyone has to cram their favorite fall…read moreactivities into those October weekends, like pumpkin picking, the perfect IG shot, cider and hayrides. Schaake's covers you for all of the above, just outside of Lawrence. Some other area pumpkin patches and farms offer pumpkin "picking" by simply setting up a ton of pumpkins for you to pick from a pile which is essentially the same as a grocery store. Schaake's is great because you can actually traipse through the fields, step over the vines and pluck your own pumpkins straight from the farm. In non-Covid times, they have a tractor ride to take you out and it'll pick you up so you don't have to haul them back. Covid times, they've added wheelbarrows up front so you can haul them easily. There are other little fun things here like a pumpkin slingshot, a chicken coop, concessions with cider & kettle corn, hay bale maze, cows, and an old school playground area. If you like the peaceful openness of rural Kansas, this farm will certainly deliver on that, even though it's very close to Lawrence. If it's one of those perfect weekends in October, know that it's going to be very busy, but it's always fun no matter how packed it gets. It's worth the trip over from KC as well as we haven't found a better pumpkin patch anywhere around.
