I get sticker shock every time I step in a Reasors. Before they sold out they were not nearly as pricy compared to ALDI or Walmart. We like to get certain things at Reasors, but these things have gone downhill: Kabobs - they are TINY now, which doesn't make sense since they are sold by the pound? We have to buy twice as many of the new childrens' sized kabobs to make a meal. The selection of pork products: fewer options and the chops/ steaks they carry are the more expensive "white meat" or butterfly cuts. I used to stock up on their pork when I came to town, but not now. It wasn't much cheaper than beef, and we all know what that costs... Here is an example on how over-priced they are: I was at the Aspen store yesterday and a 42oz container of Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal was an utterly ridiculous $6.49!! I looked it up online just now and the same product at Walmart is $2.98. ALDI's brand is $3.99 (for online shopping). It's disappointing how Brookshire Grocery has ruined what used to be a true home town grocery store chain.
