    Bacon cheeseburger

Stopped in for lunch recently after seeing a barrage of positive reviews online. First, it is in a gas station! Not a problem - some of the best bbq in America is in a gas station in Kansas City. But I digress. Not much seating so plan accordingly - four of us were prepared to take it back to the office if needed. But we lucked out and snagged a table. Very friendly from the order takers to the pick up window. Burgers seem to be the deal, but other items such as catfish are popular too. I had the bacon cheeseburger and a catfish fillet - hey, I needed to try it! I'm a sucker for a great catfish fillet. BCB was generously sized. Fresh lettuce, tomato's, etc. burger was properly cooked and it all came together well. Like eating a homemade burger. Crinkle cut fries - don't see these often but I like them a lot. Fried perfectly - almost extra crispy, the way I like it. Catfish fillet was good - $3.99 for an ala carte piece seemed high, but I get it - it's the sign of the times. It was not very big, but it was tasty! And speaking of tasty, the tartar sauce was really nice! Not sure if homemade, as it was in individual plastic containers - but it was the perfect complement to the fish. And fries. I'll be back as it is close to my work, and I may try some other selections.

You will smell like a cheeseburger when you leave! The small place was packed. Luckily, we got a table. There was a group of 16 ladies having a luncheon and gossip session. They filled the small dining area. Fortunately for us, most of them already had their orders when we walked in. The kitchen staff was hustling. We were orders #26 and 27. Order 22& 23 went to their table; #24&25 was a to-go order. Quickly after that, our orders came out, #26 (regular cheeseburger and fries) and #27 (double cheeseburger and O-Rings) I was surprised, these are hearty cheeseburgers. Good big beef patties, between fresh buns and dressed with L,T,P,O&M. Hold the mayo and I should have said hold the ketchup. A minor slip up and infraction of proper burger protocol on my part. Excellent Burgers. The fries and onion rings, commonly found fast food prepared versions, were perfectly cooked to the proper golden brown It is a small community/neighborhood gas station/store that has been around forever. Friendly service. After our order was served, the cook came out of the kitchen and got involved with the gaggle of ladies as they were finishing their lunch. The burgers at Payton's frequently are caught up in food fights on local foodie blogs. Burger aficionados spar endlessly with polemic comments to defend their favorite "Best burger in Tulsa." It is an unresolvable controversy. I would certainly rate Payton's Corner burgers in the top 10. Try it if you haven't.

If your there for one of the Best Burgers you've ever eaten, you won't be disappointed. Thin but not too thin. Thick but not too thick. Pattie had just enough tasty crunch burnt in! Service: hey if you want to rush through a fast food joint, better leave. You will not regret the moment you walked in the front door and was totally overwhelmed by the smell of burgers cooking on the grill! Took us 40 minutes to get a burger baskets. Get a cold drink and watch the crowd come and go. We saw two Jenks Fire Trucks park out front, along with the Chief in his boss-hawg truck! Bottom line: if it's bringing in a entire station here for a burger, it got to be delicious!

I had read really great reviews on this burger place so tonight we got two burgers to go. I got a cheese burger that I thought would have all the fixins (lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion etc) but it was only meat, cheese, mustard, bread. The burger had a good taste to it but was pretty dry. The fries that many people were raving about were mediocre. Dry as well. I'm not sure I understand the hype. To me, it is what I would expect for a gas station burger joint.

Good burger. Best hamburger you will ever have in a gas station. Meat is very flavorful and onion rings are great.

Run-of-the-mill cheeseburger and frozen crinkle-cut fries. Won't be back. Came to try the "best burger in Oklahoma." Nice people.

Worst hamburger I have ever had. Bun was cold. Meat was dry and tasted like it was left over from yesterday.

I went here with friends back in February for our first time and we all loved it. Both service and…read morefood were wonderful, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. I ordered apricot iced tea, the vegan fried chicken sandwich, and pineapple upside-down cake. I don't normally like chicken sandwiches that much, but this was really good. And the highlight was getting to choose any of the salads on the menu as the side salad that comes with it. I had the hearts of palm salad with vegan cheese instead of the usual parmesan. It was delicious! I also got to try the cauliflower wings and a bite of the Korean BBQ tofu sandwich. I liked that sandwich too, but not as much. I do like the way they fried the tofu, but it seemed different than what was described on the menu. It seemed just deep fried, but not battered. My only complaint is the layout of the building and the lack of directional signage. I didn't park in the parking lot, so I didn't know to enter from the back and I ended up on a long confusing walk both outside and inside the building before I finally reached the dining room.

Dinner with family last night. Staying at a hotel a few blocks away. Great choice!…read more Variety of cocktails. Great slightly dirty chilled martini with lots of olives, as requested. Seated promptly without a reservation. Nice vibe, retro theme. Tyler, our server was wonderfully engaging, made good food recommendations, really appeared to be a good human, and made a good meal better ... Salmon cakes appetizer were a nice start, the salads were memorable -- fresh and refreshing -- and my crusted salmon was a completely satisfying entree and I loved the crunch (good portion size, great sauce, and accompaniments). And, Tyler made a great pot of coffee ... strong, rich flavor. I thought it was excellent value. Thanks Tyler!
