    Chicken fried steak
    Mark N.

Well this passed weekend we went to the Quil Ceda Casino @ the Kitchen for some food. I had their meatloaf and that was really good, but this time I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. Breakfast and that was so so . Lots of food, but that chicken fried steak was too hard and kinda dried. But again this Kitchen in their food court has some pretty good food. The selection of restaurants are very limited. If you plan on going there for their food, don't order the teriyaki!!! Too salty and not good at all, but the Kitchen is pretty good to me.

Saturday afternoon. Arrived here because my out of town guest wanted to. I remembered that I had received a mailer offering free play. I didn't have my card, so I went to the Player's Card desk. This probably is the 100tth time I've done this. I never have my card. When asked for my ID I presented my Oregon driver's license. Apparently this was beyond the capacity of those at the Player's Card desk. My ID was refused although it is the same one I've used here countless times before, thru every state in my travell, and boarded planes and rented cars with. So, yep. It's 100 percent legit. But not for Supervisor Jesse who refused my request for a duplicate players card. He cited the id was not acceptable based on the fact that the paper sticker affixed on the bottom of the driver's license had rubbed off. And there was 'no signature ' The man is unable to assess situations in real time. He said also that there was no address. But there is. Jesse seems incapable of reading out of state driver's licenses. Who put this guy in charge?? Don't bother with this place. Idiocracy.

Good quality restaurants, check in get a dining card and pick any restaurant to get cook to order foods. Remember to give dining card to the cashier of each cooking station, after you're all done eating pay at the front entrance of the dining hall. Tables and utensils are clean, they have leftover bags, platsic utensils, large and small takeout boxes, ketchup, peanutbutter jelly available for takeout. Quil casino always has clean restrooms. Only thing i can think of improvement, is having more comfortable chair available.

This is a good casino, it's the partner casino of Tulip Casino just a few miles away; both casinos have the same players card. It's a much smaller casino, but has about the same amount of slots, placed in a much smaller space.

This was booked by my wife so I went in blindly and wasn't able to do my usual research. I'm huge on making sure places are safe for us as a queer and black couple. We stayed in a suite on the 12th floor. Beautiful room and view. VERY CLEAN. We were able to book a couples massage. The spa was probably the best thing about the entire experience except for a few oddities here and there. The woman we checked in with at the spa was nice enough or least she seemed that way until she thought we weren't going to tip her. Very awkward exchange toward the end but before that we loved the spa and sauna, and the masseuses. Here it is five days later and I'm still relaxed! The relaxation room wasn't very clean and it's where you have to eat (salads and drinks were yummy). The chairs either need to be replaced or steam cleaned. We only got to eat at one restaurant because the two we would have chosen were closed on the days we were there. Journey's East had okay food and the service was nothing to brag about. Just kind of felt like we were sitting in a cafeteria. The pizza place a few steps down (blazin paddles) was delicious. Also, loved the bartender. We also loved the cafe that was open 24 hours. Thumbs down for cedars cafe. Everything on my plate was overcooked. My wife's omelet was overstuffed with raw peppers so she eventually gave up on it. We didn't complain much as honestly only two staff member's in the whole resort made us feel welcomed. We did decide to swim on the first day. I was not a fan of the guy at the door. He was super snarky when we asked general questions about the pool area before we went to our room to change into swimwear. Outside of the resort, I really enjoyed the outlet. I would for sure go back to shop. Ppl there also seem to like Galbi burgers so we stopped by. I would visit Tulalip again for the right concert or market as well. Overall, it wasn't the best (or worst) experience. I also can't say that I felt super safe or comfortable (in the resort) but we made the best of the trip and found enough of it to be worth the drive and money to maybe just do a day trip next time. The community itself outside of the resort was very nice !

At the time, we couldn't check it out because we had our dogs with us. The name came up again at the Marysville Strawberry Festival, and when a friend was in town, we decided to give it a try after dinner. While I was born in the 80s, I wasn't exactly hanging out in arcades back then, so this was a bit of a nostalgic first. When you walk in, the walls are lined with pinball machines. There are a few other games scattered around, but pinball is definitely the star here. At the bar, I asked if there was more to the place, and the bartender pointed us to a "living room" behind the bar where you can sit and play Atari or the original Nintendo. The menus came in trapper keepers, complete with the satisfying Velcro sound, which was a fun touch. The guys jumped on the Atari first, but the joysticks didn't seem to work quite right. They moved on to the Nintendo, which was actually a Raspberry Pi loaded with multiple games. After a short stint there, we headed back out to the pinball area. I'm no pinball expert, but we happened to be there during a tournament, and the boys got schooled by some regulars, which made the experience a bit more fun. I also enjoyed the glass case filled with 80s miniatures and artifacts, and the vending machine stocked with nostalgic items like games, books, and snacks you'd expect from that era. Overall, it was a cool concept but felt a bit underwhelming. It's worth checking out once if you're in the area, but it's not a place we'll likely revisit.

I wasn't doing anything in Marysville and got in after 8:30pm or so, so I knew I didn't need all the bells and whistles that a larger hotel chain could offer. All in all, I got what I paid for. First off, the neighborhood is pretty sketchy and I did not feel particularly comfortable parking my truck outside. Granted, there were other vehicles there too and when I checked in there was someone behind the counter camped out in front of about 20 screens watching the security camera (still not sure that made me feel safe knowing there are that many cameras and someone manning them that closely). The front desk staff were very friendly though, and made the check in seamless. Head's up, they do hold a $50 cleaning deposit in case there is an exorbitant amount of clean up and messes that need to be taken care of by the hotel service staff. I had read some of the reviews stating that they were charged that $50 for what they described as "normal" hotel room use, so did take pictures of every space when I first walked into the room and then the next morning upon leaving. No problems there for me, as I got the deposit credited back on my card in a couple two or three days. The room itself was nice. Simple but comfortable. I got the regular Queen Bed room and not a Jacuzzi Tub Suite. The bed and easy chair were extremely comfortable (more-so than I was expecting). The hotel is close to I-5, but I didn't hear any interstate traffic. What I did hear, though, was the bathroom exhaust fan and the A/C unit. Both were exceptionally loud. Other weird things in the room was the chirping smoke detector that I needed to fix and the fact that many of the plug-in décor items (lamps, etc.) don't have a snug fit into the plug and slip out. I'm not a real big TV person, so I can't comment on the viewing options. Check out was seamless and the morning staff was friendly as well. The one amenity that they didn't have that I really wish they did, was breakfast. I didn't look closely enough at the list of amenities when I booked it and really wanted to have at least something small in the morning like a continental breakfast. But I should've read more carefully. The only thing they had available was coffee (which, for hotel coffee, was pretty good). Like I said at the beginning, all in all I got what I paid for and it served its purpose. I will not, however, return for another visit.
